We took my daughter here for the Jazzy bugs/giggle worms class- it is half dance tap and ballet and half gymnastics/play. There is a young male instructor who teaches the dance portion. He is not engaging or nice to the children. He closed the door on my daughter to not let her in the dance portion and when I told him my daughter wasn’t in there yet- he replied “oh she doesn’t like this class” and continued to close the door - not letting her in.After several weeks of this behavior we thought it would be best to move our business elsewhere. The day we cancelled, we found out that they charged our bank account the day before for the entire next month of classes. We asked if they would be able to accommodate given our situation. They did not and we’re not very nice about it! We attempted to reach the owner of the little gym heights, Dawn Koenig, and never received a response. The director at the building is very rude and not professional. Please please do not go here. There are so many other better options in Houston.

We absolutely love The Little Gym! The staff is wonderful and the classes are fun for the babies. Lots of skills being taught. Our baby loves to see the Ms. Piri and Ms. Jessica. They have been so sweet and so much fun. Weve been coming for about 4 months now and its been great. We love all the flips and rolls every week. Highly recommend joining! Future Olympic star in the making!!!

I joined this place with high hopes of having an extra activity for my very active toddler boy I called and have reached out I signed up for the month to month payment plan I had some personal matters come up where my son wouldn’t be able to attend any classes completely unprofessional business still charged my card several months my son only went to 2 classes in total like 2 months ago and yet I’m still being charged thankfully my bank has been very helpful in the matter please don’t join this company they have no problem charging you when personal matters come up especially for a service I hadn’t used in months very unprofessional for a business to charge a person who doesn’t even come to any classes I had got the whole run around won’t be recommending to anyone please look somewhere else for extra activity’s for your kids

I signed up for an introductory class for my 4 month old. I arrived 10 minutes early per the e-mail I received. The staff was less than friendly especially the instructor that led the class seemed to be irritated that I was there early. No one spoke to me about their program nor did I receive any information about pricing. I stayed and participated for the sake of my daughter and was pleasantly surprised by the organized play. I gave 3 stars because I could see the benefits of the class but refuse to remain anywhere my daughter or I are not wanted.

I have been bringing my child here for a while now and she has yet to learn how to even perform a decent simple roll! I have been open minded because of my spouse somehow liking this place but in my honest opinion, the staff here are super nice but in reality I see them literally just like glorified babysitters. For a facility that is supposed to help develop a child’s mechanical and physical abilities, most(not all of course, there is one who does have an athletic physique) of the overweight, out of shape staff, it does damper the enthusiasm of wanting to look up to their instructor and want to be like them. I’m not wanting to sound off like a bad person who is critical but THIS IS a paid service, correct? Moreover, as I’m sitting here watching the session, i see the little children running around having fun all while the staff just stand there in place barely lifting there heavy arms and as they WALK around along with the kids(keep in mind that he kids are RUNNING) OH, and this is priceless, while they flop down on the floor and lay there for a minute, I can clearly see the clear satisfaction of the staff being in that comfortable position. I’m really sorry about this but I wanted to really state my personal and honest opinion about this particular class that my child attends every week. AND THEY CHARGE ME FOR THIS! I understand, somehow how it could be convenient for the other parents sitting around me on their phones or tablets, letting their child be watched for about an hour, primarily interacting with other children, I assume THIS is really what’s it all about, assured that someone else is watching your child and making sure they don’t get hurt while they wander around without any solid structure. I don’t really know how much my spouse pays for each session, I don’t really ask. In conclusion, I believe that this hour can be better spent on taking my kid to a nice park (perhaps Memorial Park) where I can teach them a proper way to perform a simple roll, I believe the bonding experience would be better and with what I’m paying these babysitters, I can buy her a good lunch.Again, this is what I have seen in the past few months our child has been here at Little Gym.2 Thumbs down.I’m here again a little over 5 months after my1st post. I really wanted to update on what my child experience and skill development it has brought with some time here but honestly, it has not improved much. Since then my child has grown a couple of inches and increased in weight a couple of pounds but her ability to perform a simple roll or even a cartwheel is less than stellar. I really want to try to convince myself that the instances that my child is here for an hour are somewhat beneficial to her and in turn agree with my spouse but realistically my child is here primarily for the company of other children. (Sadly). For the amount of money this place charges every month, which is not much, she can spend a much enjoyable time at Jumping World, or similar places where the kids can jump and learn from their mistakes PLUS it’s less expensive. As I sit and watch the session, I do see the the staff members are somewhat trying to guide a few kids on some rudimentary movements but I can tell that the staff get exhausted very quickly due to their extreme lack of physical condition. I want to be fair though, they are nice to the kids but if a child is having trouble on an obstacle or point on the bar, he staff really isn’t close to them or quick enough to catch them if and when they fall. Note. I’m presently witnessing two small kids on the bar having difficulty and one just fell, thank God for that mat! The heavyset instructor just looks at what happened and... simply continues singing with the group of kids that are with her. They are more like babysitters than physical instructors. Finally! the staff member (who by the way is in fit condition) comes in from behind the desk and starts to guide the kids the proper way. I’m my opinion this place should hire more like her because it shows that she really is focused. Parents,

With all a childs first, The little Gym Heights was there perfect place for us to get out, explore and have serious fun. We have made lasting friends, learned new skills and love the instructors skills, techniques and silly fun personalities which add to the overall experience. Most of all we continue to have first lifetime experiences here and have serious fun while doing so. Love the range in classes they offer for all ages and couldnt be happier with their flexibility, and organization from staff.

We love The Little Gym of Houston Heights. It is a great place for my 3 year old to interact and socialize with peers and coaches. And while he is playing he is also gaining cognitive and physical skills. The coaches are wonderful at encouraging the kids to stretch their limits without pushing them beyond what they are ready for.

This place is horrible I took my 3 year old, and at first they told me that they will work out with her since she is not very social. On the first day everything was super cool, but after we sign in they behaved so rude, made me think they are not prepared to handle kids. Thank God we found a better place, were my daughter is treated much better. Dont waste your time in this place.

My daughter had her 3rd birthday at The Little Gym. The staff was very involved with play and activities to ensure all the children had a good time. They were also very helpful at keeping things organized for the parents, i.e. place for gifts, handing out desserts, gathering children for a group picture.
