If you ever try to call the Pro-Shop, expect to be placed on hold immediately. If you call back, expect to wait as the pro-shop attendant will transfer you to a miscellaneous person that ultimately ends in a voicemail. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. If you ENTER the pro-shop.... expect to wait because, well, the pro shop attendant is on his cell phone and cannot be interrupted!

Great golf course! Greens are always in great shape. My only gripe is there is never a Marshall to keep the pace of play.

The course is a typical public curse that needs leadership. The staff was friendly. The carts were short numbered and beatup. The course needs maintenance on several places due to fungus and bare spotsa. The layout was nice and somewhat easier than most places I play.

Positives- all areas of play were in good condition, except the bunkers. Cart girl started working on the back 9 & was friendly.NEGATIVES- we had valid GN tee times at 730. We arrived early to find 11-15 guys in front of us that had NO booked T-time. The pro shop dude apparently allowed them to make their own start time & that screwed our day time-wise. We didn’t start until after 8 & we waited on every hole due to the log jam. Management Must Hire A Marshal/Starter, and get the pro shop dude to grow a pair & enforce rules when he’s made aware! Furthermore, there were several players waiting on carts at the clubhouse when we FINALLY made the turn. This was caused by a policy to charge full cart fees per person, even when some players would ride together & split the $12.75 fee. This is the ONLY course around that doesn’t include a cart when listing their play fees. It’s a shame that a nice course suffers due to mismanagement & not deploying Marshals & Starters.

While the course was in fairly decent condition, the price hike in cost was extremely unexpected and disappointing to say the least. Showed up with plenty of time to hit some range balls, only they had the range shrunk down so only 10 or so people could hit at a time. Had to wait and wait, and barely got to hit a few. Purchased 2 buckets of balls for our foursome and we didnt even get through 1 bucket because we had to wait for an open spot and then take turns. Went back to the club house asking for a refund on the 2nd bucket. Was told no....asked to speak with manager, who ultimately did give a refund, but wasnt pleasant about it at all.Agree with other comments about having marshals on the course...definitely needed!!Seriously though...the cost is a huge turn off for me now...wont be playing there again anytime soon. Talking ~$60 for a round.

I found the greens and fairways well kept, and the course challenging with unique elevation changes - lots of strategy options! Staff was friendly, and helpful.

Well managed course. Kid enjoys playing there. Pay attention to the entrance sign so you wont get lost.

Great prices...public course with private club feel within the city limits...easy method of booking tee times...had a great time.

Enjoyed the course layout, greens and fairways. Unfortunately the weeds are abundant and need some powerful controls applied on them.

Clear Creek is a nice course, well maintained, with a friendly and helpful staff. Online reservations make it easy and allow for cancellations also.

Busy. As a matter of fact, I didnt play because the course was booked solid. I was going to play with a couple of friends but by the time I got to the course they had already put two other golfers with my friends and they refused to work me in.

Really enjoyed this place. price point is perfect. Usually around 29$ if you can stand playing after 11am and deal with the heat. Dont know if there is a better course for this price even when incorporating deals.

Best public course on south side. Great greens and fairways. Course can take a ton of rain and drain quickly. Great prices. Pace can be slow. Great monthly scrambles.

The course was in FANTASTIC shape. Staff was friendly. Our group of 8 guys had a blast. Most of the city was cart path only. Not Clear Creek. Thanks guys for a great day of golf .Love the speed of your greens.

It is hard to beat his muni course any place in Houston. Green fees are fair and the course seems to always be in great condition.

Good course you should consider any time, but especially after a good rain when everywhere else is cart path only.They will be 90 degrees most of the time.Staff is polite and attentive.

Today was just ok. We received a 758am tee time. Were not told until we arrived that a tournament was in front of us. Thats fine. Depending on who is working the counter at the desk to pay the service can be pleasant or a little curt. The geens for the most part were fine. Some fast & some slow. The fairways are so so. Some still in need of grass. Give it a try for the price.

I want to give it a 5 star rating because the course is in good condition. The reason for the 2 stars is I felt I was cheated out of my money from the snack bar. I was on the 18 hole and ordered a burger combo. When o hot it the meat patty was about as thick as a quarter. I asked the lady why the patty was so thin,she says thats the way the make us cook them.. I will return to the course but I wont get cheated out of my money on the food again!!!

Good course, affordable, greens are in good shape.

Well worth the price. The greens rolled well. The pace of play was a bit of an issue when I played. Cart GPS is very helpful.The range is OK. The balls are a bit used, and dont appear to be washed. Hitting area is like rough cut down low. Later in the day the divots are everywhere. The range plan is very reasonable though.

Always kept in good condition. I enjoy playing this links-style course.

Great place! but get someone on the course that can help faster groups play through. spent 3 hours on the front of nine because a foursome wanted a little kid to play every shot. Took way too long with no one to regulate. Great course though.

Clear Creek provides a great value for the money. The course is in good shape and a decent challenge. The pace of play was a little slow however all of the staff were friendly and pleasant. This was my first round here and I will be back!

Just went on a Saturday later in the day and seemed like a good deal until we found how over crowded the course was. Took 5 hrs to play first 9 and ended up not being able to finish due to getting dark. Nice course though just wish they wouldve warned us before playing.

Greens putt true and putts will go in. Overall in consistent consistent shape in fairways with no hard pan which can be the case in Texas.

Absolutely not worth the money or the time it takes to play this course. The greens may be green looking but they are terrible. The fairways if you want to call them that are horrible, like concrete. No real grass to speak of. On a scale to 1 - 10 minus 1 you are better off to just not play there. The staff are nice people but the course sucks, I wonder if they just dont believe in watering the fairways. If you must play in that area go to Southwyck Golf Course. If you really enjoy playing nice golf courses this isnt for you. Never again!

Great golf course I love playing out here with my friends and the TSU golf team and for the price is worth it during the week $25 with cart and weekend $50 with cart before 2:00pm. The golf course is in great shape fairway, tee box and the green speed are about a 8 but try to stay away from the rough. The staff and the restaurant staff do a great service to keep up the golf course.

Back in Day when came here you feel good but service is poor now. Almost no one smiles there. Two years ago I would have them five . But now new management is bad. Miss you Ann!!!!

This is a good course for golf beginners. Its not very challenging and is a very open golf course. The greens are always in good shape. The play can be extremely slow but given the good pricing/condition of the course that can be expected.

The best municipal course in Houston. Pace of play is very slow, but the course is really nice.

The course is decent, but pace of play is awful. Marshalls are more concerned with digging balls from weeds and water than keeping groups moving...so expect a 5 hour round on the weekends.

A nice secluded course that isnt too hard or packed.Not long:Blue: 6917White: 6340Gold: 5595Red: 5254Not many challenging holes, but a nice facility with great practice areas. There is a decent range, a chipping/putting area with bunker to practice your beach skills.The front 9 is very straight forward, with the occasional elevated greens and bunkers. back 9 becomes more challenging especially Par 5 # 11, with a creek and woods in play as OB and hazards. This could be a bomb and gauge or target golf course depending on what clubs works best for you.A good track but abit expensive on the weekends ($56 after tax), but we always have a good time here.
