I called 10/25/20 to check the price of renting a basketball court. I spoke to Carlos, and Carlos stated that he needed my name. I stated that I didnt want to provide my name (Providing a name isnt necessary when calling a place of business to inquire about prices) Carlos then stated that he could not provide me with that information if didnt provide a name. I called the PickUp USA location in Arizona, and a gentleman provided me with court rental information without asking for my name. I called the Houston location back and spoke with John and asked him why they couldnt provide that information over the phone when their other location gave me their info. He told me that he wasnt going to argue with me (I wasnt trying to argue with him in the first place, I simply just wanted the price of renting a court) He then told me that I would need to come in person to inquire about renting a basketball court (which is puzzling because if Im calling to check a price, you should just give me the information over the phone) John refused to give the corporate number and then transferred me back to Carlos the manager and he refused to give me the number as well.It seems like this location is trying to strongarm people into coming in and setting up a service. I would be extremely wary of this locations sales practices.

This is a really good option for someone loves basketball. They have a 4 court and a gym area. Personally, I really enjoy the shooting machine, that was so funny

Im not pleased and frankly disappointed about being charged a large membership payment during the COVID-19 closure. Calls and emails requesting a refund went unanswered during months of March and April of 2020.

I went in there expecting a guest pass to shoot around at the gym. and the attendant kept saying something about occupancy but i was the only one in there with him w a mask. i was serious about getting a membership but the service was just too poor he was talking to disrespectful saying he could come with me to “feel the courts” When i’m getting the membership i just want a couple minutes of shoot around that’s all i’m asking for. like how do i buy a membership that expensive without even feeling out the court by myself for like 10 min. i literally don’t see any problem in that with a mask on

Great place!!! We just had my sons birthday party there. The staff was welcoming and very friendly. Tim at the front is super nice and very helpful. Definitely would recommend renting the court or going to their trainings. Zee

Dont recommend anybody to join pick up usa, soon they get your credit card, they can charge you as many times they want ,if you dont catch it? Is they theirs, so please dont joint it.bad and scammers.

Just got a membership with the club, Mr. Henry was very professional in everything overall staff was great. Best gym in Houston by far. Very clean facility great workout equipment. Need more around Houston.

I love the game and even though I’m not as committed as I once was, every now and then I just feel an urge to hoop. Did some googles and decided to try this Gym.Detailing my experience of horrible customer service....if I could give 0 stars I would because I was not granted access to utilize the facility.I walk into the facility, after signing up for a free guest pass online. I was greeted by being asked “do you need help?” I explain how I signed up for a guess pass and I was just looking to hoop. I am then instructed to sit down and fill out a form.While doing as instructed, I hear someone mention a “declined card” in the background, then I am asked “your card is not going to decline is it?” I’m immediately confused because: 1) I was not at all listening to the conversation being had between staff members, 2) I had just sat down and had not even pulled out a payment card, 3) I thought I had a free guess pass, 4) We had not yet discussed anything about the facility.After I gave a look of confusion, the gentlemen begins to ask me question about myself and why I had come to the facility. I responded with info about myself and I again mentioned how I was just looking to hoop.The gentlemen pulled out a folder and begins explaining the cost of the membership and enrollment fee. Again, I’m confused because we had yet hardly discussed anything about the facility and I had no knowledge of what I was being asked to pay for. He then explains that the gym’s goal is to service those who are seriously looking to improve their game, which I understand. He mentions how people come in to do drills and utilize cones and really get to work. I had only come to hopefully get in a few full court runs, or at least get some shots up, so I didn’t fit the “cone drill” category. But then he suggest we take a look around the gym...In the gym there were about 7 young men leisurely shooting for change. No cones or drills. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for.....Once again I find myself confused, this time because I did not see the cones or drills he just explained.As we walk out the gym I mention how I’m not prepared to sign up for a membership today, and before I could finish The response I received was:“No one is prepared to purchase a membership. People want to come in and play in the AC, but the AC costs, that’s why they hired me. If people just want to play they can go to the park and play, but they will sweat a lot, so what do you want to do?”....I walked to the door and left...The gentlemen representative seemed to possess an uneasy attitude toward my nonchalant presence. He implied that if I’m not working to be competitive or get to the next level then I should just “go to the park.” I was under the impression that the pass I signed up for allowed me a day to experience the facility. I was even prepared to purchase a day pass, or submit funds to utilize the facility for the day (If given the option). However, after receiving poor customer service: being asked if my card would decline, and being mislead about what actually goes on in the gym, I realized this is not a facility I would willingly give my business to.

Pickup USA fitness is one of the premier training and hooping facilities in Houston, TXThey have a full sized court, 2 half courts, a shooting gun, a Weight room with all new equipment and treadmills, and they even have the vertimax training system for basketball players looking to increase their skill.Their general manager, Henry Argueta, did a fabulous job scheduling a shooting session for me, hooking me up with a nice membership that fit all my needs, and giving a guest pass to my friend who came along.They also offer pickup games with actual referees and a scoreboard.I highly recommend anyone living in The Houston area to check them out

... a waste of time & money... Please do your search about this gym, they really just want the Money, which isn’t the best business model. I had been a member since last year, I had to cancel my membership do to not enough membership or schedule people playing pick up games( not enough members) nor the sales pitch they told me, was a white lie ..pick up games going on Monday-Thursday from 7pm - 10pm Well .. the games ended at 8:45ish due to the refs not being motivated or just lazy because we had a full 10 ... Plus I had an 12 year old on my team ... this is adult pick up, not AAU Tryouts but I can’t believe I’ve paid over 1300$ in Private Training for my nephew & we rarely used the shooting machine I’ve purchased for us because it’s booked up or the staff has blocked out due to training of other members, so theirs no where extra Baskets to shoot because their being used... this gym needs two full courts & one half court , not just one full court .... so before you pay anything, Make sure you know it’s 75$bucks to cancel any membership, and a 20 freeze payment.. I make great money but they will rip you off because it’s not what it all seems or HYPED UP TO BE, so I rather go to another gym they will sell you a wolf ticket.

A great place for everyone. All ages and cultures. They have some intense training sessions, but its not needed. The officiated games have been quick and fun so far. Some of the folks that work there also play there, and they are professional and upbeat.Not to mention they have a beautiful weight lifting area, just big enough for the size of the place.This place is a blessing to the community.

I love this gym got a change to run 5 on 5 and practice with my teammates the manger a real cool guy and the whole staff welcoming i will definitely be there again and starting a membership!

Great staff great location and a great place to take the kids to play basketball. Lucian was particularly helpful in getting us set up for a membership and making the whole process a breeze.

Been going here for a couple months now with my boys started at 4 years old and 7 . The staff is friendly and welcoming especially Kevin. Kevin even took time to show us some explosives basketball strength and conditioning drills that has helped alot. I recommend this spot to any one trying to up there game or even just get into top shape!

This is my new hooping spot in Houston! I love this place. Clean courts and awesome customer service! The General Manager Dreanna is fun and makes sure everyone is happy and having a good time.

The best place ever

My 10 year son goes there during the group sessions and shout around. Nice friendly staff and environment. Coach Kenny is great! He is hard but caring! I strongly recommend for both parents and kids alike. I hope they maintain the same level of excellence as they grow.

I Recently moved to Houston and I was looking for a gym with fun, competitive and organized pick up games. I left feeling very pleased.

The manager Tim was very rude and unprofessional. We understand that this is a basketball facility, but we tried to offer ideas with this man and he automatically got defensive and hung up in my face.

Great place to play basketball! Clean courts and fun environment. I’ve never been to a gym where the GM is involved in the member experience, she is the best! Check them out, if you like basketball this is where you need to be.

The facility are ok. The prices are very high.Most of staff are rude and not very welcoming, Execpt for Mr.Kevin. He worked with his clients on the vertimax. Giving yheta hell of a work our. He also give me with tips on strength and conditioning work. I would not recommend it if you are well to do financially, and they only have one real trainer.

My first time in this gym and I feel like Im at home.The customer service was at its ultimate high! Everything you could imagine that would be in an NBA state of the art gym youll find at pickup-usa houston. I had the best time hooping, getting that love for the game back and I appreciate from them!

I usually go Monday and Wednesday mornings to make sure my 11 and 5 yr old get their work in. Great place, staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Recommended.

My first time here was great! The staff and coaches are eager to teach and show you different fineese moves. The pick up games are pretty competitive. They have refs during pick up so the arguing and time wasting doesnt exist lol. Im definitely coming back because they have basketball training for an hour open to members. If you are lookong for good games in Houston this is the place to be!
