This review is strictly directed to the Board of Directors who made the decision to kill the Spring Season after 2 practices and then only offer a 40% refund due to the current COVID-19 situation. Below is what was sent to all the parents who paid their dues for their child or children to play. To Parents of Bay Area Texas Baseball,Having made the painful decision to cancel the spring season, the process of determining refunds has also proven to be a painful and complex process. Most of the costs of operating our League are either fixed or incurred well in advance of the season, so unfortunately, cancelling the season only salvages a modest amount of recoverable funds (about 20%). Umpire fees are essentially the only expenses that have been avoided. Registration fees are directly tied to costs of operating our League. However, the Board of Directors recognize that many of our members have suffered other financial loses as a result of COVID-19 closures. So, we are going to help as much as we can by operating in the red until we are able to begin a new season, hopefully this fall.To that end, BATB will issue registration refunds of 40% and absorb the additional 20% of the losses. This represents a loss to the league of about $20,000.Thus, if you are able to donate your fees, we ask you to do so to help ensure the continued financial health of the League in years to come. Donation of your refund is tax deductible. This is WRONG and reflects poor leadership from the Board of Directors. Every parent should have the option to take the total amount of money that was paid for this years Spring season and use it towards this years Fall Season or next years Spring season. Regardless of how In the Red You Are. We love that the league is so close to home but we are seriously considering driving the extra 15 minutes to play at La Porte or Deer Park. If you want the BATB League to grow and get you out of the Red then do it by taking care of the parents who fund the league.

Great little league baseball league with local roots. Only gripe is sometimes youre at the mercy of the manager they give you. We ended up doing the managers job for her one season.

My son has enjoyed playing at BATB. As a parent I noted what the league does well, they are organized and responsive, fields and grounds are well kept. Also noticed that this league didnt have a traditional open and closing ceremonies which would be nice for the kids to participate in displaying their achievements at the end of the season but not a that big of a deal.Though I hope they have more enrollment in the coming years for competition purposes. That said after player enrollment, coaches are who make or break the league. We had great involved coaches and hoped ours come back next year. They truly cared about the game and developing our players, by the end of the season each one had made great improvements in their game. See yall in the fall.

I coached my 7 year old sons baseball team this past season. I have been a part of multiple baseball organizations with my older boys and this one is by far the worst. Little or no communication from the league with the coaches. Fields are the worst I have ever seen, the younger kids fields are neglected. Parking is taken over by the soccer fields so be prepared for a good walk with all your equipment. Much better kids baseball organizations in the Clear Lake area. One star is too generous for this organization.

Nice place for kids baseball. Wish they would wash down the bathrooms more often, but you have to have caring volunteers. Need more workers during off season to get rid of the low spots around the infields.

Our family loves Bay Area Texas Baseball! Well organized, all about the fundamentals at the early ages, and all about the kids! They dont take any of that crazy parent behavior you sometimea see in the stands.

The bathrooms were horrible and the trash has been over flowing each time I have been there to watch a game. The fields are taken care of though.
