Have been to Hopkinton state park one weekday afternoon. It has got one main beach and another upper beach. Main beach was open for swimming but being a weekday hardly anyone was there. It’s took a walk from the upper beach via damn to the main beach area. After that took the trail to come back to parking near the boating rental. Didn’t try boats but it is a good option. Overall, it was a good experience for a picnic which we had. It had so so many picnic tables well placed. It started raining and the nature looked so beautiful. Parking for MA residents was $8.

Beautiful place. Family friendly. Definitely going back next week with more family member for a picnic. During the Covid-19 outbreak it was so nice to finally get a breath of fresh air!!! It wasn’t packed or dirty. An enjoyable scenic place.

I had a little bit of difficulty getting in the water as the side parking lot doesnt have easy access, but if I had gone to the main parking area or the boat launch I would have been fine (just had to keep my distance because the men on the boat ramp were NOT keeping 6 feet away from others). There were plenty of people out, even late in the season, and on a day it was drizzling/raining for long stretches of time. The island was fun to row out to and there were lots of dog walkers out enjoying the trails. I had a great time and hope you will too!

Nice and calm place to hang out with friends and family. Gets crowded during weekends with parking lot reaching its limit pretty quickly. There are plenty of picnic tables available here.

This place was packed, but we got there early and was able to get a few picnic table and a BBQ for grilling, the water was cold but refreshing, the bathrooms were clean early in the morning but I went back later in the day and the bathroom wasnt all that clean anymore, but there was DCR workers all over cleaning up after people, which I found ridiculous. Why people cant put there own trash in the barrel is beyond me, five stars for the people that work there and have ti clean up after the slobs that leave there trash all over. Come on people LEAVE NO TRACE... PACK IT IN PACK IT OUT...

In a fast pace world, it is nice to have a place like this park nearby to rejuvenate. I go there often to escape. The park can be very busy during the summer weekends, although, you can enjoy it with more tranquility on the weekdays. I simply wish it were better managed.

Clean and well maintained state park. Entrance fee for MA residents is very fair and the lake is just lovely. The beach can get very busy during summer months but still worth the visit to cool off and enjoy the water. Also the boat rental is area is well stocked with all types of canoe, paddle boats and sail boats.

This is an incredible place to visit any time of the year, there are so many things to do! I used to come here to swim, hike with my dog, have picnics/get togethers and sometimes just to be in a quiet place. There are tons of easy hiking trails with little elevation changes but its New England so there are lots of rocks and roots on the paths. You can also walk for miles along the roads inside the park as well. I dont come here during the summer anymore because it gets really busy and it stresses me out but that may not bother everyone. I grew up in Hopkinton and this has always been one of my favorite places to go so I may be a little biased but its worth visiting!

Good prices on boat rentals. Sailboats are only available to pass holders. Bbq stands are in working order and the water smells clean. Bathrooms work. All in all, a properly managed state park bbq area and boat house. I only went to those two areas near Parking Lot D

Its a place where you can do some light hikes and with a nice sized body of water in the middle, a place where you can bring a kayak or rent one. You can also sit by the water and enjoy the usually quiet scene around and in the water. People have little trouble socially distancing amidst the COVID 19 pandemic so we found it quite safe.

Hopkinton State Pakr is an amazing place for a picnic with the family. They provide girls, benches and restrooms close to each picnic zones. There are also many trails for biking or walking as well. One of the trails leads to a mini beach area where youre allowed to fish or play in the send. There is plenty of parking in the designated areas. Currently majority of the road ostbs are closed so you can walk with kids if needed. Only issue is food is a little scarce around Hopkintom State Park.

Went here to go Kayaking with my sister & boyfriend. $8 to park a MA car, and a double kayak was ~$22/hr and a single is ~$16/hr which is pretty reasonable. The lake is gorgeous and the staff is young but kind. You do have to make sure 1 person from each group brings their ID up to the desk though. Also, they provide life jackets and have lockers that you can rent. They allowed us to bring a cooler which is awesome. We pulled onto a little cove & hung out.

It’s a nice place and good pricing but this place has no restrictions on the amount of people at the lake especially with this pandemic going on , also there should be rules like one table per family instead of there being families with 5 and 6 tables per family!! It’s not fair for the rest of us...

Normally, its a great park with pond for the hotter days and the place is well equipped with grills everywhere, and trails everywhere for hikers with kids. The complaint I have is during COVID, while its nice to see it is open to the public, but the rules that is set in place is definitely not enforced. There are plenty of people that doesnt wear masks and on top, there are groups that is way over 10 - 15 people. Its scary and it make me question if folks dont care for their own health and others? There was actually someone there throwing a bday party for their kid!!!!! Masks are not worn by folks at the beach areas and social distance is not observed, at all!
