Looked around for a Dolphin Tout this was the cheapest as far as per adult. I really liked the laid back mess of the captain letting you walk and sit anywhere on the boat pretty much. Its amazing how much wildlife is right here around this Island he gave some good info! So if you got kids or not definitely check this tour out you wont be disappointed!

My family and I had a great time on our private dolphin tour. The captain was very knowledgeable and very engaging. He even let our kids drive the boat at the end of the tour. We arrived early and were able to go out 15 minutes earlier due to us being the only ones on the boat. We did see a dolphin and we followed him/her throughout the tour. We kept our distance or maybe the dolphin did so it was hard to see the doplhin up close. We could only see the fin most of the time.The one thing I wish they had was free refreshments for the private tours. I know you can bring your own but we forgot and needed something to drink badly. It was 90 degrees with no wind and a lot of sun. My kids were dying of thirst halfway through.Other then that everything was great. Thanks again!!!

We had a great time! The crew was very nice and helpful. The price was unbeatable! We would definitely do it again. One thing that would be a helpful improvement is adding more signage. It can be a bit tricky to find from the parking lot. It also would have been nice to have a couple fans on the boat as it does get pretty hot, but thats to be expected on a sunny day on the water. Overall, great experience!

This was the most interactive and fun dolphin tour I have been on. I am so glad I chose this one for my family! When we saw dolphins, the captain would actually follow them so we could watch them play. Melissa gave me great advice about the whole island and where to find other fun adventures! This was a great experience. The crew were knowledgeable. We had dolphins coming up close to the boat. The other boats were following us, because our boat kept finding all of the dolphins. We appreciated the covering. We have been on other boats that we were so hot. What a fantastic experience. Thank you guys.

Amazing! It was the first dolphin cruise I have been on and it was definitely worth it. Seeing the dolphins play and learn information about the surrounding houses, boats and marinas. It was an experience that was one of a kind. Guides also helped us take beautiful pictures of the sunset in the evening. 10/10 will book again and again.

For the price this price it was okay. The boat was so full there was standing room only. What we are very upset for was I called a few days ago and asked about social distancing and the office lady said they are limiting tickets sold to not max the boat and she clearly stated we would not be elbow to elbow with other guests. That was a complete lie and we felt uncomfortable the whole time. We had our face masks but the crew nor other guests had them on.Saw 2 dolphins and some birds but the kids getting to drive the boat was the highlight.Crew was very informative and professional.

The sunset cruise was simply breathtaking and amazing! They guarantee dolphin sighting and boy they werent kidding. We either got really lucky that day because we saw dolphins before we left the dock. Captain and his mate, very knowledgeable, super friendly. Captains mate even caught(and released) a jellyfish for all of us to feel. Its very affordable and for anyone wanting a spectacular family memory! I definitely recommend Hilton Head Dolphin and Nature Tour, especially at sunset!

They are AWESOME!!! The owner was laid back and cool.We were running a minute or 2 behind and he called us to make sure we were okay and on the way.Very informative on the local wild life and habitat.Very kid friendly. Let the kids steer the boat and take pictures while doing so.It was a small boat but a lot of room. Close enough to the water that you could almost touch the dolphins jumping near the boat.Will do it again next time we are in town.

Everyone we dealt with from the booking of our tour to the actual ride itself was so friendly and accommodating. The girl who took the call was very helpful and kind. The men at the dock and on the boat were very nice and we fully enjoyed our trip. They wanted us to get the best trip possible and we did. This was my favorite part of vacation. The captain was fun and a wealth of information. His mate was nice and engaging. It was really cool seeing the dolphins. My 4 year old got to steer the boat, something she will never forget! Really good time!

Absolute best of the best that you could get, highly reccomend the evening tour to get the sunset. In the first 15 minutes of the tour we definently got our moneys worth no doubt in our mind. Amazing tour guides that obviously enjoy their job and what they do, it wasnt your run of the mill tour, they were overly excited when they saw the dolphins playing & we even saw a large group playing. I cannot Express my words more than I already have, we will defiently be re-booking on future trips, 10/10 hands down.

We were running a little behind because we couldn’t find the path to the docks. We were waited on and called for assistance! The captain and his first mate were SO awesome! Knowledgeable and friendly. It didn’t feel like it was just something someone was doing “because they had to”. They were so kind! Greatly recommend!

Looking for something to do on hilton head island, this should be on your list. After two knee replacements I was looking for something that would be easily accessible for me and my adult daughter. There was a lengthy walk out to the boat but it was very easy to manage. The staff was very knowledgeable and made the experience even better. It was nice seeing the beautiful homes, beautiful marinas, beautiful dolphins, and many other things from the water instead of land. Great value for the money. If I would have had more cash, I would have tipped more. Bring cash for a well deserved tip for the staff.

Pretty good, guides were super helpful, although youre not guaranteed to see dolphins, its altogether a great time you wont regret!

Amazing tour, knowledgeable captain and guides, really worth while. Also not overly expensive, $20/adult, $10/child for the 11am-12:30pm tour. And we did see dolphins!

We did the cruise through the museum in August of 2020 and unfortunately there weren’t a lot of up close moments with dolphins but we did see a few and after all they’re wild so unless you swim with them somewhere, don’t expect direct interaction. Lots of bird species, oysters, good views and both the captain/guides that were on the boat we took which was the island queen were very knowledgeable and helpful. Cash tips accepted but we unfortunately didn’t think and didn’t have cash. We plan on hitting them up again though so we’ll catch them on the next one.

It was a great experience! Aside from not getting a clear view of a dolphin, I would definitely recommend this company! We had a great time! The host was very knowledgeable and very fun.

My wife, two small children, and I had a great time on the dolphin tour. We brought our six month old and two year old were both on board. It was safe and fun and recommend this experience for all ages!

We had a great time on the dolphin and nature tour. We took the 3pm tour. Our guides were excellent. They were knowledgeable, entertaining, and friendly. Our 6 & 8 year olds loved seeing the dolphins, which made an appearance our first 5 minutes into the boat ride! We saw many more dolphins, birds, and jumping fish throughout the trip. They even offered the kids a chance to steer the boat. The ride goes by fairly quick and was an enjoyable experience for our family.

All passengers arrived 15 minutes early, so the captain was able to get us started on the tour even quicker than we thought. This allowed us to have over an hour and a half of great dolphin watching, and also included a lot of information about the sea life around the island. I would highly recommend this tour.

Go ahead and book this tour. We saw several dolphins, including one up close in the marina, and learned so much about the area as we toured. My 5 year old even got to steer. Highly recommended.

We did this today. The Guys were nice. We did see some dolphins. Thats always a joy. A nice little cruise, well worth it. Had to wait on a couple of people. You have to be there 30 earlier. Please do so in order to hold others up.

My family and I truly enjoyed our Sunset Cruise aboard the Island Queen! We hoped to see dolphins up close, and were not disappointed! Within the first 10 minutes of the start of the tour we saw a mother and baby dolphin. Over the course of the 90 minute trip we also saw several other dolphins, and received a great history of Hilton Head Island. Throughout the tour, the first-mate made sure to chat with each group of tourists, and answered all of our questions. The staff of Dolphin & Nature Tour were wonderful, and we would absolutely go back again!Edited to add:Took a second Sunset Cruise on July 4, and our experience was, again, fantastic! Capt Tom was knowledgeable and friendly, and guided us to several dolphins. As a bonus, Capt Tom even showed us a manatee! All-in-all, another amazing experience! We look forward to coming back in August!

The boat ride was smooth. The captain and guide shared their vast knowledge of the dolphins and area. Our guide, Greg, was very nice to talk to and spoke with all the passengers. The business was easy to find, boarding was simple. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time on the dolphin tour. We were celebrating my sisters 29th birthday. The crew was top notch. They were kind and respectful. They were full of facts and within the first 5 minutes of leaving we saw dolphins! We were on the boat for 90 minutes and 70 minutes of the time was spent following dolphins. It was awesome! We charted a sunset dolphin cruise for our family during our vacation. My interactions with Katie who I corresponded to via email and phone was lovely, helpful, and quick! Directions to get to the boat were clear, the boat was a nice size for our group of 8, and the captain was knowledgeable. We saw so many dolphins and the captain was patient to let us see dolphins from all angles! The beautiful sunset was the icing on the cake!

We saw 8 dolphins on our tour this morning, it was a wonderful experience! Not normal to see this many I am sure, we got quite lucky. It was a smooth ride with personable staff and we were all able to spread out which was nice with Covid. Would go again!

This was an amazing trip!! The gentleman were so very nice and informative. I felt like family talking to them. The first mate Ron even gave my daughter a jacket when she got cold! I felt so bad I didnt have cash on me to tip them! Bring cash...this guys deserve a tip for there above and beyond attitude. Oh, and the dolphins were amazing!

Rode The Island Queen...the Captain and staff were friendly and informative. The ride was relaxing for me and exciting for the kids. Cant beat the price for an hour and a 1/2!

The Dolphin and Nature tour is a great 90 minute excursion on the marsh to see dolphins, marsh birds, egrets, along with houses you and I will never be able to afford, but are nice to look at anyway.The captain and mate were very knowledgeable, and were great hosts. The boat ride took us down and around and under the evacuation bridge from Sea Pines.We saw a couple dolphins, but not very many, and the ones we did see were a bit shy. Some of the other boats were very aggressive, which was rather disappointing. The Holiday particularly comes to mind as an aggressive boat Im trying to get closer to the dolphins, which generally had the effect of driving them away.Cameras are also a necessity. Not a cell phone camera, but an actual camera. Most of the scenery, dolphins, marsh birds, etc. are simply too far away from the boat to get a good picture with most cell phone cameras. I have a Galaxy Note 8, which has dual cameras, and still had difficulty getting the shots I wanted.One other thing to note was the heat. Granted, its Hilton Head island in the summer, but there was very little wind, and the boat moved rather slowly, thus not generating much breeze. So, even though we were under cover on the boat, it was still really hot and humid.All in all, I would recommend the tour and would do it again, but Id be better prepared for the notes I made above.

Not only did we leave on time but we left early and came back late! We saw lots of dolphins and enjoyed every minute! It was a little difficult to find but they answered the phone and stayed on the phone with me until I knew where I was going! So worth it and will definitely be going back!

This was a great tour. The guides really know the area history, so it was fun learning about the area and seeing dolphins in their natural habitat! The boat even had a bathroom, so a big advantage there.

This was our third outing with the Dolphin & Nature Tour. We visit Hilton Head Island each year and this tour has become a tradition for our family. Our tour guide, Ted is knowledgable on the wildlife and geography of the area and makes each experience different. We have always seen plenty of dolphins on the tour and look forward to booking again next summer.

It was pretty much just a boat ride with glimpses of dolphins in the distance. Most of the ride is spent driving a slow boat down the river and occasionally stopping when you saw the fin of a dolphin. We were nowhere near the dolphins. The ride was very boring and the captain was not entertaining at all.

Scott is absolutely delightful to ride with. We come here every year for a sunset cruise and it never disappoints. We almost got to pet a dolphin at one point! The views are breathtaking and the water is incredibly calm. Cant wait to come back again next year!

My family was pleasantly surprised with our tour. Their ads and marketing materials were pretty unpolished (sorry to critique this but it’s the field I work in), which always makes me skeptical. But the price was significantly less than others tours, so we gave it a try.We were fortunate to see dolphins right away and then had some come right up to our boat a little later. Our guide, Captain Tom, also gave us the history of some of the houses along the coast.We rode in the smaller boat, which was fun because we could have touched the dolphins if they had been in the right spot.

On a whim, we booked a sunset cruise with the Dolphin and Nature Tour. I am so glad we did! It was one of the highlights of our trip to Hilton Head Island. We were a group of four and we were the only ones on the tour because of the weather and time of year. The captain and mate were so enthusiastic. When we saw dolphins, all of us took pictures. We were able to take pictures steering the boat wearing the captains hat. We wouldnt hesitate to do this tour again.

This was a fun & educational trip. We booked through the Coastal Discovery Museum. The boat was covered, which is important in an area where it can suddenly rain. It had adequate seating & viewing spaces for everyone. We saw many dolphins & other wildlife. The guides were v knowledgeable, as was the captain, who was a skilled navigator & excellent at locating dolphins. We were a multi- generational group with some mobility issues. The boat was reasonably accessible & the staff were v helpful. Recommend this dolphin trip.

It was super fun seeing the dolphins! Great for all ages!! We saw many glimpses of the cute creatures, but we saw an EXTRA UP CLOSE dolphin while walking on the dock...

We had a great time on this dolphin cruise. The captain & crew were extremely knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. Although the dolphins were slightly shy, we saw a few and they kept the boat near the dolphins in order for us to see them and take pictures. They also let all the children drive the boat and catered to the all the passengers needs.

We had an amazing experience with Dolphin and Nature Tours. We not only saw dolphins, herons, pelicans, egrets, and oysters, we learned about crabbing! The captain and first mate were super helpful and also very knowledgeable and taught us many interesting facts about the ecosystems of the Low Country! We did the sunset tour on a Saturday night. The crew was great. The boat wasnt too crowded, and rest of the group was social, and best of all, we did see dolphins!

Only saw one dolphin that was pretty far out. The 2 gentleman operating the boat tour were very friendly, funny, and knowledgeable! We had a lovely day out on the water!

Nice cruise around Shelter Cove. Saw lots of dolphins. Some came real close to the boat. Kid friendly. Great crew too. You learn a lot of fun facts during the ride as well.

We went with the same company on a tour a few years back and rode on the bigger boat and the experience was phenomenal. We had 2 captains and they let our young kids at the time steer the boat. This time was different... Our captain was nice but the whole reason we took the sunset tour was to get a family picture with the sunset in the background on the boat or else we would have just went during the early hours. Not once did our captain offer to take our pic as we struggled to get a family picture by ourselves. Although he took plenty of pics with his phone himself. The captain was pretty knowledgeable which was good Other than that.. it was a mediocre experience for us compared to the time before. In all honesty we would have tipped more had our captain been considerate with this being a 1 time a year family experience and seen us struggling to get a family picture.

If I could give 10************ I would!! The captain and host were awesome. I arrived late due to know my fault of my own, graciously they waited. We had a great time,yes we actually saw dolphins. The water was calming and the sun dancing on the water was picturesque. Snacks can be purchased aboard as well.
