Last day in Hilo watched unhinged. Lots of great seating staff Lots of aloha friendly and courteous. Prices awesome

Small theaters but good visibility and seating. Its the only game on town so what can I say? No complaints. Good friendly staff.

We went to a movie and was waiting for it to start and it wasnt starting, so we had to go tell them. It took awhile but finally it came on. Other then that, no one else in the theater.

We really enjoy coming here to watch all new releases. The staff here is friendly and respectful. Cost of the products at the concession stand are a bit pricey but it doesnt stop us from buying food.

Most terrible movie experience Ive ever had. The ceiling in cinema 5 was open and completely burned and/or destroyed. The projector made a double image and the sound was distorted. It was really hard to follow the dialogs, since the front speaker seemed to be broken. Cannot recommend at all.

The chairs were really close together. Popcorn was alright, hard any better but the service is good and employees were friendly. Ive been soiled with the reclining chairs and legroom on Oahu.

Paid for tickets and was told couldnt go in, was searched the second I tried to go in and was told I couldnt bring an unopened bottle of vodka I had bought to bring home later into the theater with my bag. Asked if I could leave it up front behind the concession stand or in the office and they refused. Asked for a refund and they said it could take up to a week to refund my ticket. Never had this happen before. I give plenty of movie to this theater all the time and shouldnt have been treated this way.

Movie was at 9:45 but we had to sit thru ads and previews for over 30 mins. I looked at my clock and it was 10:15 and the movie hadnt even started the real trailers yet!

Our theater needs an update asap. Not like anything is broken or hazardous, but some nice big recliners would definitely bump this rating up to a 5 star one

I dont know how much money I spent here, but it was too much, and still we watched endless advertisements before the movie previews began, and then finally, the movie, exactly half an hour after starting time. Wheres the skip ads button on the silver screen?

People who give this cinema a 5star rating have never been to a movie theater that actually earns one.After driving my wife into Hilo to see a movie she and a lot of other people were in line to see, only to be turned away without an explanation and extremely depressed Again.I will driving to the Kona side for a matinee and evening showing at a cinema that works to accommodate avid movie goers.

I used the kiosk outside the box office to avoid standing in line for tickets. I have not seen it prior to this past weekend. It is an awesome idea. Pre-purchasing tickets online is good but things come up. I am not educated enough to know whether refunds or credit are available so this is an even better route to take for me. Clean theaters, friendly staff, loud speakers. Great time here. Although the prices have skyrocketed over the years, the theater experiences are always better when it is done right. They do it right here. Kudos

I just want to warn folks that the online information for this theater is NOT updated. Use the Regal app instead. I finally learned that after missing three movies I really wanted to see.Tonight there was a line of folks, all Island residents, disappointed because of the online misinformation about the Downton Abbey movie. No compensation was offered. We drive 40 miles round trip to this theater in our only vehicle, a farm truck that uses a fair amount of gas.It is the only Cineplex in town and we have also had good experiences here, so, three stars and not just one. But could you maybe post a sign?...dont go online!...use the app!

Great place to go for date night.

Shops close or go out of business here somewhat regularly. The theater itself is okay, but often you can hear the other movies playing from the next wall over, and theres a inflatable castle bounce store on the backside of the theater, so all throughout certain movies you can hear children screaming. Not a lot of food options at the food court either. Overall just a very small mall with limited opportunities.

Very standard movie theater. Ticket prices are fair but as with most movie theaters food and drinks are over priced. Seats in auditoriums are not the best and can be uncomfortable when watching long movies. Have had experiences of hearing the movie going on in the auditorium next door.

Clean theater with good refreshment offerings. Volume level was painfully loud, though - recommend ear plugs if you have normal hearing.

They have summer kids $1 movies at 10am Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Tuesdays are $2 hot dogs.

The best movie theater on the island, I would give it 5 stars but lets be honest the movie theaters are limited on the Big Island, they dont have 18 theaters, or 24 theaters. They cant show all of the movies, the Indie flicks and the blockbusters all at the same time, they try though. They dont have IMAX. This is not the staffs fault. The experience it was awesome, the people kind and funny, the prices fair.

A nice little Cineplex with an ample number of screens. Especially like that we can buy beer or wine and its in a mall so there are options for dining.

Pretty good theater, serves its purpose just fine. Wish the two front rows could recline so you dont have to hurt your neck. Its clean, food is decent and now it serves alcohol! Although its way over priced, it brings my husband to the theater.

Now shes a national hero- or heroine.In this movie she plays Secretary of State for the US, and as an actress and producer she just made movie history.Makea me think of Tulsi Gabbard as the next President- and the first ever female President of the US. If Rulsindoesnt run, Im coming for Charlize. Gets decently cold in there, so bring a jacket. No surround sound or fancy Dolby sounds, does do 3D though.

I love our cinema at Prince Kuhio Plaza. Its always clean, with fantastic decor, down to the fabulous strips of floor tiles. More importantly, the employees are so friendly, accommodating, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Plus its in a beautiful mall on a marvelous island.

Always able to get a good seat here, and they have a great selection of films always playing. Snacks are just as overpriced as any theater, but the employees are friendly and the facilities are always clean. They also just started selling cider!

The place is starting to show its age, but still a good venue for movies. Being the only movie complex in Hilo. 5 dollars for a bottle of water, so be prepared.

They have some problems. First, the fun center that is next to theater two ruins movies in quiet periods because of all the kids yelling next door. The bad news is that their Fathom events are in that theater. You pay way more for much less. Plus, they have continual problems with their fathom events - getting their equipment to work properly on time. Theater 2 is always too cold - and many of the others are as well. Screen 3 is really dirty - looks like mold. They have lots of ripped seats in various theaters. Truly, they need a lot of work.

Saw a good movie for a matnee. Sorry concessions are so pricey.

There are times you can hear the movie next door. I have a movie pass and there are rarely any movies offered and when they are .... they are made unavailable before the box office even opens! The Hilo theater does not have e-ticket available for movie pass holders! Today 10-28 there were no screenings available again for Movie Pass holders! As a manager I hope you address this with Movie Pass. You are losing money on concessions and tickets for non pass members that are guests of members. Again no showings for today 10-28-18 for Movie Pass holders! Please respond!.

Clean and upkept atmosphere. Staff is always friendly and efficient. They dont have imax screens but they renovate their rooms regularly which is great. Always come here if I want to see a movie.

Nice movie theater.

I went into the theater and they never closed the door. All noise outside of it you can hear inside. The lights were going off and on.

Poor management, greedy for money that they couldnt inform us on their $50 gift card to receive a $10 gift card b4 we bought our tickets (2) adults n (4) children costing us $49.99. We seen it in their ads while waiting for our movie to start. When my wife went to inform management of this (b4 our movie started) she (manager) told my wife that theres nothing she can do cause our movie is starting and that they have notices on a few places.....(like the exit door ....mind u its the size of a Hershey candy bar)

Too pricey on everything. Its better to wait until the movie comes out or stream it online. I do however like the size and comfort of the theaters.

Amazingly out of date. Nice staff. Not worth all the expense. If you are from the mainland youll be totally upset all the seats are from the 1980s or 90s.

Great comfortable theatre with right temperature to feel good. Best thing, came in limping with a boot and staff offered to help me with my popcorn and soda. I declined but was grateful for the thought!

Theater 2 shares a wall with 808 bounce. Depending on your visit time, your movie might contain the additional ambiance of kids at play. Theater 2 also had glare in the upper right corner from the lights throughout the showing.

Why no showing of Avengers: Endgame re-release on June 28th 2019?

Dont get me wrong its a great Theatre. However the fact that me and my wife cant even enjoy a R rated movie just because we have our 2 year old son with us(who by the way doesnt make any noise or anything disruptive majority of the time he falls asleep) is complete bull crap! I mean we always have our son with us, so what can we do about it? Absolutely nothing! If you guys change that rule and let us watch the damn R rated movies with our son then Ill change it to 5 Stars

Very nice staff. Kept me company while I waited 45 minutes to watch the beginning 5 minutes I missed waiting for food. Plus, I watched them give a kid a return pass who was falling asleep during his movie. That is great customer service.

Ive been there a few times, it is located in the Prince Kuhio Plaza and isnt a very large Cedar what does keep up with most of the new movies that come out. I do emphasize that is only most of the movies not all movies will be found at the theater do two more restrictions as well as just its size. The staff there are usually decent (nice and helpful) but more often than not are in a bad mood or non-existent. Many times just to get a drink will take 5 to 10 minutes because theres only one person working during the day.

Bring a sweatshirt and a high tolerance for sound bleeding in from neighboring theaters

Hilo desperately needs a proper movie theater. This one is in Prince Kuhio mall and much smaller because of it. Its a nice little theater but you dont have much choice if you want to catch a movie unless you drive to Kona. You can sometimes hear movies playing from the theaters next to yours. If it wasnt a Regal Cinema Id give 2 stars. I love Regals.

It is the only main theater in hilo. However, the recent time we went the manager was nice enough to honor my atnt Tuesday promo and we got to watch deadpool2. It was awesome!

Seats are comfortable enough, screens are ok size but many are dirty and or have dark spots. Movies often have technical difficulties. They had issues twice in one week last time I was in town. Staff is friendly and the theater is pretty clean.

The only complaint I have is that online it says the movies open at 11:00 am but they actually open at 11:30 am. I waited for half an hour and during that time nobody acknowledged me or anyone else waiting right outside the ticket booth. Others even knocked on the glass 3+ times to ask when they open since it is not clearly posted outside and the employees who saw them just ignored them. Basically the times need to be updated and better posted so that there will be less confusion and frustration in the future.
