We had a group of eight and none of us had ever done an escape room. It was super fun and challenging - we got to use our brains! While we didn’t beat the clock we were so close. The host/creator/owner was super nice and clearly loves his room and seems to be ever evolving. - it’s impressive and a fun activity for friends, as a team building activity for work, and is family friendly (I’d only bring teenagers as it is challenging). Looking forward to going back next year to see any new additions.

Wow, what an excellent experience. Take a trip into plantation era hawaii and find clues. If you are a person that enjoys mental stimulation and puzzles, Escape Hilo is a must see!

Really great escape room. Puzzles were very well thought out and fun to solve. The holiday theme was a nice touch and the owner was extremely friendly as well.

This is a legit room. We came from Montana on a visit and scheduled this in advance. Such a fun activity to do on the island. The saddle road from the east side is a cool(literally) drive. Worth every penny!

Great experience! This was a very enjoyable escape room, thought provoking and fun. The puzzles were challenging but doable, couldn’t believe we completed it with 4 mins to spare but we did have to ask for a couple hints. Highly recommend!

We had a lot of fun in this escape room. Definitely some difficult puzzles, which made escaping all the more satisfying. We liked the tie-ins to Hawaiian history. This was our second time doing an escape room and we went with another couple who had done a lot of them. Everyone felt challenged, but all the puzzles were solvable. Very satisfying and Ryan the game master was very fun and enthusiastic!

It was a blast, NO JOKE, it was like the most fun I had ever.

My sister and I are on vacation and chance ran into this escape room BEST EXPERIENCE EVER literally recommend 10 out of 10 the detail in the puzzles and the story of the room are so fricken cool and so much FUN! If you get the chance PLEASE try it out you won’t regret it at all!

Great experience. The room had a very unique feel to it. Proprietor was very friendly and professional. The wife and I didnt succeed this time but we plan to compete again soon!

Fantastic room! Really well done story and puzzles. Challenging but not impossible. My fiancee and I are escape room veterns and we got out with only 5 mins to spare. Totally worth the time/money in Hilo!

Loads of exciting fun! Clues all over and took down to the last minute with two minutes of overtime.
