First time coming here and enjoyed my walk. Friendly and helpful staff provided answers to questions and a map to use. Looking forward to this the next time I’m visiting from Georgia!

Walked the Bill Faver Trail on a sunny early spring day recently and it was very nice and scenic the different connector trails are nice too. The main building has restrooms and maps. Great place for A short hike. The Greenway also starts here and goes about 4 miles to Gibson park. Cool topographic map of the NC and the other states around here that looks like at one time when properly working was really cool to see water flowed in the rivers and to the ocean. Neat to say the least though.

Several trees down after the storm but the rain had made lots of interesting water falls and rain run-offs, and the wet forest smelled so good!

We found Piedmont Environmental Center when looking for a close place to ride our bikes. We were surprised by the secluded feel. The center had some one on staff to give us guidance on the bike path that starts at the beginning of the Greenway that goes from High Point/James town area to Greensboro. We did not get very far as we stopped about 30 minutes in to deer watch. There is a set of stairs with a bike rail to push your bike down (and up on the way back). There was one other place that was blocked and instructed us to dismount due to a large decline in a curve. Both of these spots were within the first 1 1/2 miles in. Most of the path is shaded with a few hills. Back at the center are bathrooms, and vending machines and a couple of tables to take a snack break. There are also looking chairs on the porch to do some bird watching. . Overall nice place, we will be back to explore further.

I dont have any idea what this place is really like, cause Im usually there at or after closing time, but I LOVE the walking trails! Theyre clearly marked, and its nice to be able to get onto the Greenway or to wander through the more woodsy trails around the lake. Very dog-friendly and feels safe. The trails are on Google Maps, too, which makes navigation super easy.

Beautiful and peaceful whether you want to walk in the woods, bike, sit at the lakes edge, watch birds or just relax in a rocking chair on the porch.

Many trail marker posts were pulled out of the ground. A couple foot bridges need repair as do a number of benches. The water from the fountain at the snack area tastes awful. The trail we took was pretty tidy and of moderately easy difficulty at a little less than 3 miles round. A few nice views of the lake that had geese.

Ive only ever walked the trail. Nice wooded dirt path that takes you near the lake. If I recall correctly it was about a 2 mile loop.

Dont believe the official park propaganda that reads 11 miles of trails. Its a 2 mile loop, that has a bunch of very short connectors scattered around. Its like me claiming I have eleven miles of trails on my front lawn just because if you zig zag across it all day it will eventualy total 11 miles. Its nice enough if all youre looking for is a 45 minute stroll, or if you have children younger than seven, but Id have never drove to it if it wasnt for the false advertising. I give it two stars for wasting my time.
