Course is struggling... No money.... Needs a new caring owner... Great layout... Good test of golf..

Food is always great here & so reasonably priced for the quality of the food. Atmosphere is also nice!

The cart path needs work but other than that it is great.

We golfed here yesterday and are going back today. Super accommodating pro shop. Great food in the restaurant too. They did a huge solid for us. It was my buddies first time out, so you can imagine he lost a few balls. They charged us for a small bucket of driving range balls and let him use them to play the course knowing well that he would lose a bunch of them. Really impressed by the hospitality.

Great course for great price! The only drawback is the sand traps are basically mini ponds of dirt and mudd.

Rough shape. Worst cart paths Ive seen in quite awhile! They need to be totally replaced.Also, called ahead on a Tuesday to check availability. I was told they were wide open. I drove out and they told me I had to play the back 9 twice. There was a middle school match teeing off 45 minutes later. I could have easily stayed ahead of them but they wouldnt let me. I wont be back.

Course was in great shape for the end of November, tight fairways and hilly.

Outstanding service, superb food in a very relaxing atmosphere... all at a very reasonable price. This place rocks!

This golf course is in horrible shape. The fairways are over grown. The cart baths are all broken up. Bare spots all over the place. I was told that it just changed hands this week. Hopefully the new owners will pour some money into it. I would not recommend this course at this time.

The course itself is more like a 3* in my opinion based on the current condition (Some areas of the course were a little rough), but the staff is really friendly and that goes a long way with me. Course is short, and shot placement is way more important here than distance.Most of the greens are very good and roll true. I needed a glove, they had them and they were also on sale. I would definitely play here again in the future.

Played this course the other day. Probably the worst golfing experience ive ever seen in my life. The staff was very nice but they didnt offer half of our green fees back after only playing 10 holes due to rain. We were traveling through and they were aware of it. drain the tourist. If you are planning on playing this course practice your putting in the parking lot cause the greens are horrible. The cart paths are the roughest ride of your life, stay off of them if you want to save your back. They need yardage books with course layout so you can see whats up ahead. Maintenance manager needs to obviously seek other employment cause they have no clue about course management. I saw job openings at the Ole Speedy gas station try there. Dont play this course if you want to have a good day. Not a course for recreational golfers unless you want to throw money away. Then play on. AWFUL

Nice layout with fairly new greens, but the course is not in good shape. Good value for the price though.

Good food, good price, great service

Good layout but not kept up very well.

Its a beautiful place when you pull up. But the fairways are patchy lots of Rock the greens are dead. There was a missing hole that we were not aware of. I would go back but I wouldnt pay $30. I do have to say the staff was friendly and the carts were super fast.

Reasonably priced course. Fairly short - 5100 yards from gold tees. Fairways are wide and in good shape. Greens need work.

This is the worst golf course in hickory. Some body should shut it down. Mow the grass or shut it down.

I have been there 2 times. We received excellent service & food. My friends Jimmy and Sandy Mangum highly recommended this restaurant to my husband & I. David, the bartender, and waiter has been so kind & efficient each time.

Nice course, great staff, amazing Pizza

Went today with two of my friends. We had booked a tee time and two other groups were teeing off at the same time as us. We were yelled at on the course by other golfers inappropriately due to the race of one of my friends. We visit a lot of courses around western NC and have never encountered this treatment. Can promise you we will never return. We were even yelled at again by cars leaving the parking lot. Unbelievable...

I played 27 on Sunday... I was in awe of the lay out of the course and how well kept the greens and fairways were. A challenging yet fun course to play.

Stay away. It is a more of a cattle field than a golf course.

Course layout is good but everything needs some work. The 6th green is closed currently.

The new owners at Ole Still Golf Club have worked hard on this course. This an excellent course, especially for the price. With the first-rate customer service, restaurant on-site, and revived golf course, I highly recommend Ole Still to anyone in the region!

Awesome course played my best round today. Greens are on fire and in great shape staff was awesome too.

Great place for a poker run stop. Enjoyed the view of the grounds and super friendly wait staff.

Good food at a fair price. Usually there is no waiting to get in except for special events/holidays.

Front nine nice, gently rolling,back nine hilly, challenging with blind holes and a lot of uphill walking. Cart paths are some of the worst Ive seen!
