Oh, wow. This place was a real find. Im so grateful for the coffee shop search button on my GPS apps on my phone--they take me to some of the best places that arent a Dunkin Donuts. Beautiful coffee, the Green Goddess bowl was outta this WORLD, and the selection of coffee paraphernalia and unique gifts and local art was a balm for the soul. Im really happy I found this place and look forward to returning.

Great coffee, great environment; however, I was disappointed with the service. Upon receiving my coffee I was told that there was a 1-hour limit in the shop, which I can totally understand. I often ask baristas if its okay to sit and do work. In this case after my hour was up I went back to the bar and asked if I could make another purchase to sit for another hour. I was told that I couldnt. The place was completely empty, so I was somewhat mystified that I was turned away from making another purchase. They have 2 out of 3 important factors that make for a truly great coffee shop. Theyve cultivated a near perfect environment and the coffee was superb. Now they just need to step up their service and it will be the best option around. One final note: Coffee shops are meant to be places where reading and writing can happen at a leisurely pace. So long as customers are not taking advantage of the business by holding up tables for hours with guests waiting, then this really shouldnt be a problem.

My wife and I live in Charlotte and really enjoy sampling fine coffees in boutique coffee shops. We recently stumbled upon Taste Full Beans coffee shop on a trip to Hickory for shopping. What a delightful experience! Our drink of choice is the original version of the flat white, a drink that originates from down under (Australia/New Zealand). We have had flat whites at several up scale Charlotte coffee houses, but this flat white made by Sam is the very best we have ever had! They have a wide variety of coffee beans for purchase. We love the Einstein dark roast. The ambiance is quaint and friendly. There are several tables to enjoy coffee and conversation. And if all of that werent enough, they have a wide selection of teas, teapots, coffee and artworks. And, we also love the salads, parfaits and chocolate goodies. Jena and the staff are very attentive and friendly. We look forward to many more visits.

We live like 10 mins away and I never knew there was a coffee shop there, I am an iced coffee regular drinker so I was excited to try it, my 10 year old had already gone by and told me about it. There are many many options so we had a hard time deciding. Every drink we had tasted exactly like the flavor listed. We had chicken salad sandwiches and wraps. I thought it had a great fresh taste. They were busy and evrryrhing was made fast. We will definitely be back and try different stuff.

Nicely decorated local coffee shop that goes the extra mile in encouraging conversation and fellowship. I had a fruit smoothie which seemed rather bland, but I am told the coffee is much better. Certainly worth giving it a try again for something caffeinated.

Was told I had an hour to stay inside despite 1 other person being there. Gave me an “arrival” sign with ten minutes deducted for the time they didn’t realize I was staying inside. Odd and unwelcoming.Food was great. Service was great. Can recommend and will be back.

The atmosphere here is so cozy and warm, perfect place to stop by for a great cup of coffee. They also support local artists by advertising and selling their art, which is a nice touch. You can buy unique, high quality tea and coffee to bring home, and the baristas have great recommendations!

Pleased with the service! Im definitely planning on stopping in again when Im downtown. I liked all the different flavors they offer for their teas, lattes and coffee.

Tasteful bean is my favorite Hickory location. I visit this coffee shop regularly and I am always satisfied with the service and coffee. The coffee shop itself is colorful and eye-catching and features work from local artists including paintings, pottery, and jewelry. They are eco conscious as well providing an alternative to plastic straws and looking for ways to cut plastic. I highly recommend this shop.

Nice little shop in the heart of downtown Hickory. Oddly enough, its a coffe shop, I love coffee, but my first visit was a for a carry-out lunch. I work about 4 blocks from Taste Full Beans and co-workers had mentioned the good eats. I had the Avocado Toast with an added scrambled egg and a side salad with added bacon and tomato. The tomato was MIA which was odd because there was a ? on my receipt next to the listed tomato. I ordered through the app and I was willing to pay the extra fifty cents. Maybe they were out of tomatos? The avocado toast was good and I liked the added red pepper flakes. The side salad was tasty, although the portion size was a little skimpy. Ill go back again and try the coffee and maybe can collect my missing tomato.The vibe inside the shop is very hip. They offer local books to read and purchase and they have a variety of other gifty things and wearables available including TFB t-shirts.

I love when you have to come a small town and find a little (probably family own) business.Wonderful place to sip an aromatic cup of coffee; the people working behind the counter are very cordial and helpful, taking their time to explain all the many different options they have available; not the dreadful feeling you get a some big coffee chains (where you better know the names of their different options) no this place is a great experience with the abundance of options and also very cozy

The lady that took our order wasnt rude. But the other lady was and it was uncalled for. Saying that we were making customers uncomfortable cause of my 5 year old daughter whom wasnt wearing a mask and cdc doesnt require kids under 11 to wear masks even though we were the only ones in there. Yes she went from spot a to spot b ,Which doesnt count as running around. She loved this place and we have been several times before during this pandemic. Even spoke very highly of this place to dozens of people. But will not be giving them anymore of my business and will informing those to whom I have spoken to about this place to avoid it.

Nice place. But it doesnt makes sense to be forced to wear a mask to place the order and pay, and then they allow you to take it out and drink your coffee in the room.I guess you get inmunity after paying?

What a great local coffee shop, you really dont see places like this anymore and its nice to have a hand made drink in a real mug made by someone who is passionate about coffee. Nothing against the big coffee chains but they dont compare to a local place like this. Great selection of drinks at a fair price.

Beautiful place to go for a desert and a good coffee, large variety of grains and bakery. The atmosphere is very cool too, artistically and comfy to expend a great time with friends. Also an outside with tables for those with pets.

What I like, is it offers some food options with the lattes etc. They have one of the largest options in drinks. What I didnt like was the espresso taste in lattes is ok, just not my favorite. Bean here is by far the highest per pound if you buy while bean and grind your own. I believe it was around 16 a pound here.

I had the brewed coffee from several selections on the bar while viewing some of the art and jewelry displayed on every wall. There are several areas to sit around with games and tables. This shop also has tea in addition to various bean coffee by pound. Most of these are flavored varieties with a few single origin options. The location has ample parking downtown with other shops nearby.

First time experience here! In town for an expo and stopped in for coffee and breakfast. WILL BE BACK- drove in from Chicago yesterday and had terrible coffee the entire way. This place does it right! Tried the pumpkin coffee (they make their pumpkin from scratch) and egg wrap. The macaroni side was so flavorful. The avocado and all the ingredients were super fresh. This is probably one of the best coffees I’ve ever had! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The place is decorated very cute, vintage, a true coffee house feel. Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and coffee and will be back tomorrow for more!

I always enjoy this place. Just a nice classic coffeehouse. Just one complaint- employees were coughing and/or touching their noses and then touching cups and such. Just please try to train them to be a little more in being sanitary.

Very cool atmosphere. This is a special place for me because my girlfriend (now my wife) and I used to meet here for dates. We would meet halfway, eat somewhere local, then sit and drink coffee/tea together. Thanks for providing a great place, Taste Full Beans!

Great little neighborhood spot, definitely a spot to go to if you wanna breakup the permanent Starbucks runs. The menu is really large and then there’s more menu items at the counter where you order. They have a large selection of beans that you can take a grind up at home or they will do a pour over for you.Solid little spot, go try it.

This is the best coffee shop ever. The food is outstanding, and healthy. The beverages are out of this world. All of this in an environmentally conscious business that supports the local arts. The staff has always been friendly. This place has a genuine community feel and that is a rare quality. Enjoy the local art and supporting a conscious business.

Absolutely loved this place. Stopped in 3 times while visiting my daughter. Fabulous food, coffee and teas and homemade bakery items with wonderful local artwork adorning the walls. They also have lunch items. The peanut butter, banana, granola and yogurt wrap with a dark chocolate Mexican coffee was my favorite!!! Wish I could bring them to NY with me!!

There are not enough words to describe how much I love this place. I used to come here 12 years ago and it was great, i came back to town and stopped here and its still great. So many drink options and the employees like to experiement so they will work with you to make a funky new drink. I got a cayenne pepper,ginger root, black pepper, ginger tea with vanilla ice cream blended and it straight up tasted like christmas potpourri that youve always wanted to eat but knew you couldnt. My only critique is that i wish it had been spicier. But thats just me, they have any drink flavor you could want though so even if you dont drink coffee they can still hook you up. 10/10 must visit in Hickory.

Come on in and take a seat. The coffee and in particular the hot chocolate are amazing. Lots of variety. This is a local hang out. There is lots of artwork for purchase on the walls. Food is OK

They have so many choices in their menu! The kombucha is second to none (difficult to get as it goes quickly). My entire family (6) is quite impressed with the local approach that this establishment takes. They feature local authors and artists, they use local produce, and they deal with local business themselves. Stop in and stay for a while! Its worth the trip experience.

Great coffee, loved the straws. Only negative was I ordered a Peacan Pie coffee and received a Pb&j. Still super delicious! loved the inside and the ambiance, the lights were dim which I really loved since I have bad light sensitivity. 100% would go again.

Ive been coming here a month or so and the staff has always been kind and respectful and so have I. Always thought the owner of Tasteful Beans would be kind and respectful as the employees. Met the owner first time and she is rude and disrespectful. I will not be returning sadly I see now the front she puts up to make herself seem so great I CANNOT see Tasteful Beans the same way again.

I love Taste Full Beans! We came on game night. There was a lot of buzz in that coffee shop!There are lots of food and drink options to choose from, including ice cream. The service was fast (or as fast as they could be...there was only one person working the front most of the night). I love the coffee bar and Avocado/Sweet potato wrap!!

My go to spot when working in Hickory. It is a family run place, and they have a lot of vegan options.

First time i went here, the service and coffee put Starbucks to shame, meaning they were awesome and fast. Second time neither service or coffee was up to the same level. Coffee was burned and took 30 minutes to get. May have been a fluke, an off day, i dont know. Hopefully the second time not the first i mean.Edit: 5 stars given. It was indeed a fluke. I went back today(4/26) and the coffee was great, and prepared in fairly short order. Definitely Worth the visit.

Tried 5 different coffee shops on a weekend trip to Hickory. This was my favorite. Large selection of single source beans locally roasted and kept fresh. I took home half pound bags of Brazil Bobolink, West Java Honey-Processed, Costa Rican Tarrazu (sp?), and the owners favorite, Ethiopian Sidamo. Multiple techniques for making a cup. I had a French press once and a Cubano Cortado on another visit. Diverse food menu too. Keto, vegan, gluten-free, traditional, etc. 40 teas. Art. Poetry. Homemade baked goods. Ice cream. Most things locally sourced. Games for families. Outside or inside seating. Nice, knowledgeable servers. Stays busy, and I understand why.

Great coffee with a wonderful atmosphere and art from local artist while you work or just enjoy your drink. Also have tea and ice cream, among other things. Prices are good for what quality youre getting, maybe a little more on the steep side. Definitely blows Starbucks out of the water though.
