We come here almost every year from Washington State. Our kids have grown up here as well as Helena has grown! Lots of fun places for kids of all ages!! My all time favs are, St. Marys Cathedral, the carousel, the parks...yes, all of them, especially memorial park...? Look for the wooden playground and public pool! Take the train tour through old Helena and learn about the history, enjoy the quaint shops in the walking mall at last chance gulch, readers alley, old ghost towns (Marysville-cuz we have one of those back home), play some soccer at the main fields... look for the 20 foot soccer ball! Trips to Butte and Bozeman were awesome too!!

Wonderful little place. You must take the city train tour and learn the town history. Plan to stay a couple days to enjoy all it has to offer.

I dont know about the information center but Reeders Alley is a whole box of groovy. Theres a philosophy shop! What? Ive been in the market for a philosophy for years! And the whole place looks like it got magically transported from some medieval village or something.

Because it was very interesting to see the restoration of an historic area of the city. The buildings are small and closely set together, you can almost imagine the people who lived there long ago.
