Nice park,good environment, lots of good food & other stores close with alot of stuff and very kid friendly with exercise areas tennis & basketball court, clean restrooms

The hospitality is not that pleasant they seem bothered to help . And dont take kind to people of new interests in comics or of the sort.

Beautiful place, very peaceful. A good place for kids. I took my grandkids to this park and they were so happy playing with other kids in a safe environment.

Great park to bring the kids. They also have many community events with the local church (New Beginnings) & when they have an event, even the Major Mr. Vargas will be enjoying himself with the Hawthorne Community Church Food giveaway BBQ & games for the kids! So if you ever are lucky to go when the church & mayor are reaching out to the community, make sure to ask for Pastor David. Cool Dude!

Great place to relax for a game of bocce.

People sleeping in bathrooms. Instead of keeping people out they lock then so families visiting dont have access. The two porta potties, one occupied by homeless the other is dirty and full of waist. Icecream truck comes around noon, blocking cars in. Funny thing he gets an attitude when you ask him to give room to back out. But lots of families frequent this park. Nice big play scape. Green fresh cut grass. Basketball court and plenty of parking. Alternative bathrooms across the street at Burger King.

My 3yr old enjoyed the slides. One issue there was a hole at the end of one slide thats not right but its the closest to where i live so hope they can fix it.

Great Park ever since they renovated it. its been a fun park to go to. From the basketball court to the indoor soccer area, to the new play area for the kids!

My little ones love this playground, just dont visit the restroom.

I go to this park almost once every 2 weeks. There are many homeless people who live there, the bathroom is undeniably dirty mainly because of the amount of homeless who use the bathroom as their personal bathroom, then again this is my experience, I love how they’ve begun to use the pool, I also love the design of the play area, many months ago this park was just a regular play area but they’ve themed the park into rocket/space.

My daughter loves this park. Everything works. No broken slides or swings. Has a three story jungle gym

Family oriented, police frequent the park to mo itor safety and community center is adjacent.

Love playing basketball at this park once a week or twice. I also play basketball and soccer at the mini courts ! Its dope my son and i love thos park .

Hawthorne did remodel the park but its still full of homeless people and the park playground has holes already and for some reason people dont control their children and the teenagers during the week are usually kissing and taking over the playground. But its convenient for me to stop on the way home so I give it a good 30 minutes......

Ghetto AF as the kids say. Five homeless guys were fighting over god knows what I was on my phone then they started yelling at me to stop recording, yeah never again. It gets 2 stars because its a nice park just too many homeless people, getting crazy.

There is a playset for older kids and a separate one for toddlers or smaller children. There is also a wet area. There are a couple of picnic tables and a restroom nearby.

My son loves this park. Cool playground.

This park has improved since the times I remembered but in all glad to see all those kids having fun.

Fun play structure but didnt feel like a safe place. Several police cars, ambulance, helicopter rushing by within 20 minutes.

Nice family oriented park. Theres also a senior citizen and teen center. There is a exercise area with built-in workout mechanism. You also have a full basketball court and 3 mini soccer fields.

My mutt and I love Hawthorne Canal Parade as its handy to home, easy to reach and a great place to get some exercise plus continue on to around the bay

Love it hear, only issue is theres homeless & druggies or ppl smoking weed alot of the time if the ranger didnt make their rounds(but usually they do)

I love the park especially the soccer area. Its splendid. Yesterday the lights were put off around 9.pm though we needed more time to play. U enjoy being in the company of lots of young guys playing soccer

Its good. Gets crowded, but cant complain. The only thing I dont like is older kids try to punk the younger kids in this park.

Its a good park. It gets really crowdy in the evening. There is an open gym that you can also use in this park. There is ample of parking space available for the park. There is also a basketball court which is used by the public. I have also seen people doing a barbeque in the evening here.

It is a nice park. The playscape is new, as of this year. We love the diverse mix of children there. It allows our girls to interact with all kinds of people. The only drawback is the transient population that occasionally take up residence there. They are harmless. However, as a parent of small children, it catches my attention. I regularly take my kids there and will continue to do so.

This Park is a complete disgusting mess, I can not believe how many people live here. I gave this park two chances and the second time I went I walked into two people getting doped up on something in the restroom. Can you imagine if your young kids go into a restroom with that scenario going on? The playground is nice but the people who live there are just plain dangerous. Hawthorne Police should really look into keeping their communities and its people safe.

Now that the park has been cleaned up, its a great place! I work out here at 5am every day and I bring my son to play worth other kids his age on Sundays!

Friendly people, clean families enjoying themselves, I even lost my bank card and a man found and gave back!had daughters gender reveal there in June 2018

The Park is decent and has gotten a nice remodel for the toys and some small short turf soccer fields.There are some problems.-First the bathrooms are horrendous. Very outdated and dirty. Why spend all that money and not update the bathrooms?-Second is that Homeless tend to stay in the park in large groups. They dont bother anyone. But they do smoke weed and get drunk and stuff so no bueno for the kids.-Third, the old splash pad/shallow water pool is dirty, old and empty. They didnt bother cleaning it up to run again since California is no longer in a drought or just plain get rid of it to clean up the park a bit more.The Only fun thing about this park is the Cool New 3 level Rocket Ship structure with 2 long slides Built for kids ages 5-12 and a smaller kids structure for Toddlers.A few drinking fountains that function.Grass is super green and lush, But watch out for hidden mud spots. They over water the grass here.The park also has a plethora of work out machines for the geriatric.The majority of the people who use the parj dont know how to use a trash can or at the least teach thier kids to use one. So there are bags of empty chips and used candy wrappers laying around and empty cups.Well Beside all that. Enjoy

Great park. Newly renovated play equipment. New Futsol coasts. Large picnic area. Has an exercise path and area with equipment. Serval park services and programs. Senior center and services. Teen center and service. Fully staffed park information center Monday through Friday. Offers park events and rooms for rent.
