Fun little kids museum (free for military!). A little bit of everything. I’d say the only thing is it’s definitely for older kiddos, a lot of reading for impatient young ones. Other then that, plenty of interactive cultural exhibits & things you wouldn’t expect (titanic exhibit).

This was our 2nd visit to the Discovery Station at Hagerstown and we had so much fun! I went with my niece (4) and nephew (3). There are quite a few activities available for children of all ages! They have a STEM space where children can use the iPad and play with robots. Their art station is HUGE. They have STEM activities as well as a painting area and a huge blackboard for the children to write on. There are 2 floors of activities. I would def recommend this place to parents of babies all the way up to 10 (ish) years old. Also, admission is CHEAP.

Nice little museum to visit with kids. Practically all the exhibits are hands-on & will keep the kids busy for a couple of hours. Part of the ASTC passport program; was able to visit without entrance fees with my membership card from another museum a part of the program.

Large childrens museum with plenty to do for just about any interest with very reasonable prices. Clean facility with friendly staff. Convenient restrooms throughout so taking a little one to the bathroom is easy. Lots of hands on exhibits- good for those kids who love to touch and grab. Highly recommend! We took our four year old but she probably would have loved it even when she was younger.

I am rating this museum based on my kids experience. My 5 year old, 3 year old and 2 year old loved this place. We stayed for over 2 hours and would have stayed longer had it not been past our lunch time. Our family is part of the Science Museum reciprocal program and received free admission which was an added bonus. My kids all loved the pretend play at the front of the museum and spent the majority of their time there along with the space/mars exhibit. I can see why people comment on the wear and tear of the toys/building but honestly with that many kids coming in and out of the museum, I think its to be expected. My kids loved it and were entertained for hours without complaining of boredom which is a 5-star for me!

Its a fun but aging kids activity center. Loved the space section and building area. The little main street was where my little spent most of his time. The craft area was lacking in supplies and lighting but was fun. Im not sure if the aging is just the building, an old bank with former offices or housing above now a play area. The roaring dinosaur upset my little but I thought it was a neat touch. Theres only one bathroom. The staff is nice and seem to go above norm to make my little guy feel special. We will be back.

Great for kids, but can be lots of reading for younger kids. Plenty to keep their attention though! We went with a 4 yr old and a pair of 2 yr old boys and they had fun but a lot of the exhibits were over their heads. I think if be perfect for like 7-12 or so. Overall a great experience at a decent price!

The staff there is so friendly. I brought my kids and had forgotten my free pass. My wife was able to bring it by. But, instead of having to wait for her to bring me the card, the kind woman at the front desk let us go in and get started. I have always had A+ time there with the staff. They dont rush you to leave. They are always there to answer your questions.

A hands on location, you can learn from yourself, or get the help from a volunteer never to far away. Its not a place to just rush through or youll get the impression there isnt much; stop, read, interact. Its all worth it when you ask the children what they think of when you try to tell them its time to go. Huge kudos to Brittany.

Such a gem of a place. Weve visited on/off for a year but buying a family membership for 2018. Well thought out interactive exhibits that any age can enjoy. My 15 month old had a blast in every exhibit his 3.5 year old sister played. Our favorites are the indoor playhouses, puppet area, builder room, race car track, shopping in the agricultural room, and the mega-super-awesome art emplorium (the new art room located in the second floor)!Limited parking behind museum (maybe 10 spots) or metered street parking. You can bring your own food and eat in the cafeteria on the second floor. Has a large family restroom on the first floor. While there isnt any specific nursing room, you can easily find a private spot or chair throughout.
