Loved visiting this museum in historic Guthrie. Great territorial architecture with tin ceiling and old-time soda fountain. Wonderful collection of old bottles, medicine, equipment & photographs. Definitely recommend stopping in when you’re nearby & also check out the apothecary garden outside with plants and herbs complete with signs explaining what their medicinal properties

Cute little place. Im from Guthrie, but I havent been in here since I was a young kid. It was nice to look around and see all the oldschool medications and remedies people used to use. I even got a free wooden nickel. It was a cute place to visit. I took lots of pictures to share with yall I hope you enjoy and from there can make the decision whether or not you want to go in and visit

A fascinating slice of history. Every old remedy you can think of is in this historical building in Guthrie, OK. Admission is free. They depend on the generosity of their visitors and proceeds from their small gift shop to stay open. A must see!!

Quite the little museum. Its interesting to see how many herbs are medicinal as well as some of the narcotics that were in general use in the late 1800s. There was an old Poison list showing who bought what poison, where they lived and why it was bought. Cocaine and opium generally had habit as the reason. We dont seem to learn. And the old syringes brought back some not so fond memories.

Take a walk back in time. Read the labels. Ponder how people were able to take these drugs knowing what we know today. One of the BEST museums Ive been in and so educational. It is very different in many respects to walking into a CVS or Wallgreens. You will love this place.

Going to this place is like taking a step back in time. I love to see the old stuff that has helped shape the medicine we use today. And the see the things my grandparents talk about is cool. My kids like to see all the ( old people stuff ) as they call it..

This place has some great vintage drug store items, there was no guide to answer questions or walk us through things and there werent many informative plaques or pamphlets to delve into what you were looking at. It is free to get it, though they accept and appreciate donations.

It was a fantastic experience to see an old time drug store with a the soda fountain bar. It had a collection of mortar and pestles, prescription and over the counter drugs like snake oil, and other drug store merchandise from the terrtorial days to fifties. It even had a inside telephone booth. It is a must for any one in pharmacy and the other health fields.
