I was born in Wayne County & lived in Dearborn Heights/G.P.P. from Nursery School-up to part of 5th grade:Defer Elementary School then I moved to Edina MN-Bullied here! I wish I could find my old Defer E School Friends who were so nice to me back then! Im on social media & I love n miss my old bff! I used to go here when I was younger & swim at The Park Park Pool as we called it! I was on The G.P.P. Swim Team w/My Brother Kevin! My late grandparents lived on Pemberton by this pool! A wonderful place for a wedding or event. Right on the water, a nice patio and plenty of space outside to move around! Lovely across the board. This was my brothers wedding and their setup. The patio you can see through the windows.

Its a wonderful residence only park in Grosse Pointe Park. It has two theaters, kiddie and regular pools, classes, exercise equipment, gym, boat harbor and a large building to rent out for events. Also tennis courts, playground, concession stand, and sand volleyball courts. Freighters pass pretty close to the pier that you can walk out on.

Amazing park with amazing views, one thing to note, you have to be a Grosse Pointe Park resident to enter.

What a beautiful park! A great way to spend your day, swimming, walking along the pier and enjoying an ice cream cone. Not to mention freighter watching!

Its a very nice place but unless you live in Grosse Pointe Park you are not getting in...I just had a quick job to do so thats the only way I get in there

A great city park

Love this park. Have to live in Grosse Pointe in order to have access but they provide so much. My kid loves the fountain pool that they have and the movie theater!

Best park in the Park!I start my weekdays here at 5:30 AM, when the gym opens. In the summer, the pool also opens at 5:30 AM to lap swimmers. There is nothing better than a workout to the sunrise over Lake St. Clair.We love seeing the first run movies here with the kids. Make sure and get your tickets earlier in the day, if it is a hit movie, they do sell out.They finally heated the toddler pool, which is appreciated. It was always beautiful and now it is also practical.The new sunroom addition to the Tompkins center is well done.I do wish that they would add Jetski parking in the marina. I believe we have the only marina in the Pointes that has nothing for Jetskis. There is my wish!This is a residence only park and is attended by friendly gatekeepers, who know me as the Husband of my wife. There is no question which one of us is more popular ;-)

Just what a resource for the community. Incredible on a normal day, and unbelievable what they do for special events (Halloween, Camp Windy Mill campout, etc)!

Absolutely love our city parks! The movie theater, the pool and fountian, clean park area, and the kids playground are all excellent! All of the staff have been great in every interaction Ive had.

Park was beautiful with a lot of amenities. The only bad thing was the black flies biting our feet and ankles.

Park is for residents only or by invite. Awesome picnic park. some swings and jungle gyms for smaller children. Pool and kiddie pool are what this park is about...unless you dock your boat here.

This is a private park for residents only. We can debate the pros and cons of this all day long, but for the purposes of this review I will focus on the park.The pool is very nice (I think the water is between 80-82F), its warm and there are sectioned off areas for shallow end, lane swimming, deep end, and diving well. There is also a separate kiddie pool with a fountain. If a splash pad is more your speed, check out Patterson Park -- its smaller but they also have an old school wooden playscape with gravel just like back in the day.Windmill Pointe also has a concession stand (A++), marina, and a small playground with swings and slides for the littles. We really love it here.

Great Park also they have a theater so we can see the latest movies and their candy and popcorn is much cheaper then the AMC theater.

Excellent public park, nice facilities: heated pool, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, fishing dock, marina, fitness center, childrens playground, indoor gym, activity center, and two first-run movie theaters. But, only open to residents of Grosse Pointe Park and their guests.

I had my wedding on 4/28/2018. And it was wonderful and the atrium was BEAUTIFUL

Nice but not for public use. Just use the great parks for the Jefferson Chalmers subdivision right across the street.

My wife and I had our wedding here in September at the Thompkins Center. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH!!! Super affordable and accomodating. You can bring in your own music, booze, and food to cut down on costs. Crazy helpful staff and a lovely view of the water.
