The Childrens Museum was amazing!! I have not been to anything like it since I was a small child. It was just as fun and informative for my children. My boys really enjoyed it. There was a bit of a bummer about the parking. It was extremely hard to find a place to park. The only parking available was employee/member permit only.

We moved to Greenville 3 weeks ago from Charleston, SC. We have been looking for something affordable that would keep the interest and attention span of our almost 3 year old for months now. Yesterday for ONLY $10 or less per person, my husband, daughter and I were able to have the BEST time for hours both inside and outside, among 3 entire levels of hands on activities that ranged from water fun, recycled tire mountains, race cars, construction and building things, grocery store with real bar code scanners, a bank to Learn about money, an awesome gift shop- all while having masks on if 3+! Charleston didn’t have anything like this, and the aquarium there was super expensive and not worth what you paid at all. We cannot wait to come back next week! Thank you for giving us something exciting to do as a family!

I cant sing their praises enough. We absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE! Also So CLEAN, Spacious , great Air Quality, affordable, friendly Staff and So much to learn/do! I lost my purse here one day and a staff member Immediately turned it in. I retrieve it on the next day no problem! And they were closed to the public. Im highly greatful for that. Also My daughter just had a small birthday party during all this stay at home order mess and during phase 1 reopening. The Childrens Museum of the upstate came out in this heat and really made our day very precious! The neighbors kids even came to take pics with the Dino! They were Highly polite and it party was very affordable. They gave my daughter and sons a gift and they helped us make precious memories. This was such a PLEASANT surprise since we are from Nashville and miss their adventure Science Center so much.. What A Blessing to have The childrens Museum here in Greenville remind us so much of home . Will be members when they reopen as we were in Tennessee. (No they are not affliated, although I wish they were!) Thanks again . We look forward to your opening soon! And thanks for the Pics!

I brought my 11, 10 and 8 year old here. There was a lot for them to do, as well as many things aimed at the toddler age. I was disappointed that many spaces were closed while we were there, so we didn’t get to experience everything - they are only open for a portion of the time the museum is open. They have a big playground that’s fenced in outside.I didn’t see anything on their website about selling food, but the do have a cafe. We didn’t bring food because it said so outside food was allowed, but there were plenty of people that had brought their own.

My son loves this place. It was dads day to take our three year old boy out for an adventure. He loved it. It has so many fun activities and themed play areas. I highly recommend. He wants to be a doctor now after he checked the heartbeat of the stuffed bears and gave them food from a syringe, like hes seen his baby sister do at home. Sweet experience. Warning the parking is in back and was overflowing on Saturday. Slightly chaotic and hard to park, but otherwise super place a must visit. $9 / head. Not bad, but not free. The art museum next door is free though. Someday!

We spent 5 hours with an infant, 7 year old and 9 year old. My son has been to the Childrens museum in Denver and the Doseum in San Antonio and felt this one was best if the three. Three floors of hands on science, music, and art, with plenty for all ages. There were things for the baby to participate in all through-out.

There are so many activities to partake in, we just had to do them all!!! ️ Had a blast with my babygirl, and will definitely come back for a visit. I like that they had special areas for toddlers to play in also, although my daughter was too old for them, it was nice to see them have something fun for all ages. I love how they make education fun, in activities you can participate in. Hands on is the coolest way to learn, in my opinion. Check this place out, if you happen to have $20-$30 to spend on a fun, all day educational activity.

Our 3 year old LOVES the museum! Its a fairly large space, we have been twice and still havent played at all the sections. We bought the annual membership and I think its well worth it. We live in Duncan, so its super convenient to able to visit both locations. The parking lot is a little bit of a walk, but its not too bad. I believe its $1/hr. This place is awesome!! So many things my little boy could learn and play with! But the other reason I’m on here is the staff, the front office girl was amazingly friendly with us and our kids... my wife had an anxiety attack (kids get loud) and an employee saw it and rushed over and guided us to a quiet room and took care of her while she bounced back. This was a lot of fun for my son, but honestly the place was too crowded and it made it a little difficult to get to do everything we wanted to do. Some of the parents were not quite as courteous as I was hoping, and didnt really seem concerned to let others have a turn after what I thought was a reasonable amount of time. But, I guess a reasonable amount of time is subjective, so all in all I would recommend

My son enjoyed our visit to TCMU Greenville. After visiting both locations, I prefer the Spartanburg location at this time because it is geared towards my sons age group (0-5) and its brand new.The Greenville location is much larger with three floors, holding various attractions per floor. When we first walked up to the water table area, I was pleased to see it was so large. I was disappointed as we got closer to it, realizing there were very few toys to play with in that area of the museum. Some things are new, updated and clean while other areas appear to be waiting for their turn to receive attention in the rotation.Overall its a nice childrens museum. Better than Rock Hill or Discovery Place but not as nice as Please Touch or Indianapolis, in comparison.Parking is shared with the art museum and library. The cost is $0.50 an hour up to $4.00.Museum admission is listed on their website.

My only complaint about TCMU is the cost of an annual membership, we love everything else about it! This is a great museum - our family really enjoys it. We love meeting up with friends or just going by ourselves on a bad weather day, although it’s good to go when the weather is nice too since the Michelin outdoor playground is awesome! We love the 2-story indoor climbing apparatus, it’s so unique and fun. The water area is a favorite as-is the music room. We also spend loads of time in the grocery store and wind tunnel every time we visit. At first, I was worried about my kids getting tired of the exhibits, but they never have. Love that TCMU allows re-entry as we have had to leave on occasion before we were ready to be done for the day. One day we were there for 5+ hours and my toddler was still upset when I️ said it was time to leave. Sign of a good time.

What a wonderful, educational experience!Would be better if they did not allow field trips on days of regular operation though. The field trip supervisors were doing anything but sypervising, instead, allowing the children to treat the museum as their own personal playground. Multiple children playing on all activities, refusing to share with other customers, etc...This is not the fault of the faculty/staff of the museum, but would be nice if rules were in place to prohibit such negligence.

1. overpriced for the day. Adults are charged despite not actually using any equipment (KID’s museum). Every person, man, woman, child, toddler, is $10.2. membership is worth it and is a great investment BUT3. they give you absolutely no notice at all when your membership expires; it’s not at the end of the month, it’s whatever day you signed up, but they will not tell you when that happens to be. You won’t get any emails, mail or phone calls to let you know. And if you come even a few days after your membership expires, it doesn’t matter how long you were members, you will have to pay full price, the end.Just know, Musuem, that had you given my kids & I a day pass, we would have left our years-long membership with great membership. As it is, your complete lack of grace has left a very sour taste in ALL of our mouths, and we will NOT be back. We also will make sure everyone we know is aware of your policies.

The yearly membership is well worth the cost. There is a fun activity for kids of all ages. Even if your child is too small, some of the activities are adult appropriate.
