INSULTING. My kids and I havent been to a movie theater since January or February of 2020 as a precaution towards Covid. As you can imagine we were quite excited to step out and watch The Croods. Unfortunately we were met with incompetent customer service from the ushers and an unapologetic attitude from the manager. When we arrived 11/29/20 for the 7:50 showing the movie had just started so when we sat down the movie was already running along and that was fine with us. But 15min into the movie we were convinced that it was way further along into the movie and we had to have been in the wrong theater. The ushers who directed us there were gone so I went to the concession stand and yup just as we suspected the ushers directed us to into the wrong showing. I immediately requested a refund because by this time we had missed 20-30 minutes of The Croods. The manager was called out and she seemed more annoyed than I was just because I was requesting a refund! We hadnt been to a movie in almost a year, we drove in from Royse City, and her staff made an error but somehow shes inconvenienced? She didnt look me in the eye didnt apologize for the error of wasting my time NOTHING just shoved the cash in my hand and walked away. But not before I let her know how I felt about it. I told her so no consideration for my families night being ruined, for my kids being let down, no apology, no gift card for popcorn to come back? And she replied with no we dont do that here. Translation they dont right their wrongs at this place. I asked for her name she refused by saying I dont give out my name and closed her office door on me. Imagine being on such a high horse that management out right advocates for the poorest customer service right in front of her own staff? Character from leadership matters lady. Yes you fairly young lady with the short blonde hair shaved on the sides YOU lack respect and consideration. If my staff ever treated my customers with such disregard theyd be out of a job on the spot.

We went to watch Toy Story 4. It was great as far as the movie goes. The people werent disruptive or anything. Only thing that would increase my rating would be for them to start using their box office rather than the concession stand. They seem under staffed. Pro Tip: If you buy your tickets online you dont have to wait in the concession line, Ive heard, still they should utilize that box office during peak times. We bought the kids combo box (popcorn, drink in a reusable TS4 cup w/choice of Buzz or Pizza Planet alien, and airhead candy), a medium popcorn, and a large drink in a reusable Avengers cup. The prices are middle ground movie theater prices both at the concession stand and tickets, not the most expensive Ive ever seen, but not the least either. I used to very much dislike this theater but it was a pleasant adventure this go around, with exception going to the long wait in the beginning. Thats all. Have a happy day.

So glad theater is finally reopened. Missed it. Had a good time.

The magestic is showing its age. Im not sure when they stopped using the ticket booth to sell tickets, but now one needs to wait in the concession stand to buy a ticket- which takes an incredible amount of time when people are, you know, buying concessions. Ive stuff to to 30 minutes for this when there were 10 people in front- common sense suggestion:. Have one register only to get people not buying extras out around movie times by selling only tickets.The male bathrooms are in need of serious cleaning- years of apathy are catching up, and though the teenagers working there dont mind dirty bathrooms, and rings, customers do.On a positive note, the electric leather chairs are great. The only complaint there from me is that if Im going to recline, allow me to recline- halfway is nice, but I cant get my sprawl on!Im curious what the magestic response will be to additional competition from the new theater that begins construction in February. Will the result be what happened to the old rolling hills cinema? Whats that? You dont recognize it? Thats because it went out of business shortly after the majestic opened.

Its a bit out-dated now, but its still a great place to go for a movie. They have a great selection of movies, a large lobby, great selection of snacks, and the theater is clean, sharp image, and great sound.

They moved the lines pretty quick and even had the other concession stand open. However having to hold my hand over my childs face so she wouldnt be scared of the previews they were showing in a kids movie. 3 rated R trailers back to back is ridiculous in a kids movie. We even asked if they were the right previews and were told that they were correct.

Watched the final episode of the 3x Star wars trilogy last night with family and for the first part of the movie everything was squished so that it looked like everyone was a bobble head. Instead of fixing the problem at the beginning, they just kept messing around with it while it was running and so the picture would go blank at various times. I was super close to going and tapping on the window for them to stop the movie and fix it, but I didnt want to be that guy.Finally it got fixed, 20-30 mins. into the movie, and everyone in the audience breathed a collective sigh of relief, but that really shouldnt have happened to begin with.I mean, what is more important than to ensure good sound and picture quality?

Came on Xmas eve thinking they opened at noon as the website didn’t state different holiday hours. Wanted to get gift cards that I didn’t have time to wait until 12:30. Another man there for the same and he also didn’t have time to wait. As I was leaving 2 others here for the same. Four lost customers in a 10 min time frame only because your to lazy to post holiday hours on the website.

I was wanting to watch a current movie for a while and I actually thought the theater wouldve been better because of the new recliners, but it got annoying after a 8ish yr old kept movie the chair throughout the whole movie, not only his but the unoccupied chair next to him, either his or both at the same time.. on another occasion, there was two groups of teenagers that were talking, laughing and taking pictures WITH THE FLASH for basically half of the movie. I heard them talking and laughing (EVEN THOUGH it was suppose to be a SCARY MOVIE!!!) over the movie the WHOLE time, and wouldnt shut up even when they were told to be quiet. DO NOT recommend going here unless you want to come out with a huge headache.

We got a section with reclining seats. It was clean. Popcorn was delicious with butter of course. Movie was great.

Went here today for the 1:20 movie Dr Doolittle that was canceled because of a transformer that blew the power then sent everyone home with just movie vouchers but no refund or discount for food bought. Spent $15 on a bucket I had to take home and by the time I eat it, it will be stale. Then went back at 4:20 for Do Little and it was canceled so got a ticket for Call of the Wild. Got seated and ready for movie to start and then someone came in and said that movie was canceled due to technical difficulties. Then told us to go to front and wait in a long line to get a refund and another lady was throwing a fit because they put us all in a line and then started giving refunds to another line and told us to move there. A manager came out and apologized however after a day full of chaos they should have accommodated more than just a refund for our time and trouble. They should have gave an additional movie pass. Dont know if I ever want to deal with this craziness again.

They gave me sticky 3D glasses that I couldnt see out of. Gross.(NOTE: This review is from an experience before the Covid-19 pandemic)

Its a good theater.Not gonna beat it for the price.If you want any better, go somewhere else and pay more.Staff is good, owners are good, food & snacks are good. Theatres & restrooms are clean.

Showing a movie is easy; it’s the going the extra mile in customer service is what earns 5 stars. After waiting in the concession line for 10 minutes, an employee shouts that there’s another concession down the hall closer to the movie screens. We walk on down there to find that stand isn’t fully stalked. No water, no pickles, and no fresh popcorn. Did it not occur to the employee or the manager standing beside her to simply tell the customers what the other stand was stalked with. Plus, every time the concession stand employees, including the manager, was ready for another customer, they’d shout “Next”, like the Soup Nazi. How about “Next please”? Good help is hard to find. Oh yeah and the movie started 10 minutes late.

Excellent experience, clean theater, excellent sound, good snacks & drinks. The staff are friendly and helpful most of the time, moderately priced, a good value and a great place to take the whole family and leave the devices @ home! Restrooms were clean, and the parking lot felt safe and well-lit. Well be back again and again!

6 of the 12 theaters have been updated to include large cushy recliners!! The experience was so plush. It took date night to a new level. Good service and fresh popcorn as usual but the leg room and roomy comfortable chairs have changed this theater forever!! Thank you.

Not a bad theater for a small one usually is not very crowded even on popular movies.

Comfortable theater. Would prefer the employees put butter on the popcorn. Theyre able to add butter in the middle rather than all on the top.

Been years since I have been to this theater, would have given 5 stars but my only complaint was the line situation for the concession. Everything else was clean and nice and employees were nice.

We come to the movie once or twice a month and we don’t expect a lot from this place since the prices are not bad. $5 for seniors. But the management of the concession area is pathetic. The young people working so a fantastic job but in these times when places like this are so understaffed, you would expect management to step in and help. People are literally lined up out the door and only 4 registers out of 6 are open. There is a girl sweeping up popcorn who could be trained to run the register during peak times. And then the manager walks in with Pizza Hut pizza and goes in the office to eat it. While paying customers are waiting for a long time to get waited on. We arrived at 7pm for a 740 show. It is now 730 and there are still 30 people ahead of me and at least 40 behind me. But hey. Let’s not let paying customers get in the way of a pizza for dinner. Wow. Ownership needs to address this and maybe come witness this themselves. It’s always bad but it seems to have gotten worse in the past couple of months. Again. The young people doing the work are fantastic and should be commended for doing all they can to take care of the customers.

Pricing is great can’t beat it specially if you wanna go see a movie that she didn’t wanna spend that much to see it when it first came out

Good place to go see a movie. Line was a little long last time I went. Theaters are clean, staff is courteous. Decent selection of first-run movies, 3d movies as well.

My hubby & I have been on countless dates here for the past 12 years, including our first date at 15 years old with his mom as a chaperone! We now take our toddler here and have made such great memories with this theater. We love that they butter the popcorn when its half full so you dont run out!

John Wick 3!!! Yes... the theater seats were super comfortable! They reclined and felt clean. Wasnt so dark you were tripping over others either. Yet dark enough for the movie!

Generally the best theater in town with good prices and fast concessions lines.

It was our first time at this theater, there to see Spiderman FFH. Place was clean and organized, seats comfy, big screen. Ticket prices are great, staff was friendly. With how big the screens are, definitely check your neck angle before committing to a row!Only issue was that the employee at box office didnt know what CC equipment they had - I wanted to request to use it, but their unfamiliarity put me off. Employee could have easily just been new, but it is important to know in case customers ask for it

Not the newest facility but they do always have the new movies, popcorn and other concessions are fresh and have a lot of choices, they work to keep the Lines Moving so youre not waiting too long. And they got the best price around us. We really enjoy going and catching a film

Reclining seats that arent actually that soft on your bottom after two hours, but they seem really comfy initially. Still nice though with a lot of leg room. Even reclined, other people can make their way down the aisle without everyone needing to sit up to accommodate.Clean for a busy movie theater.

Just wish i could give them 0 or negative rating.. The seats are just way too uncomfortable... I would not recommend any one to go to this movie hall..

Cheap prices but you definitely get what you pay for. The theater needs major upgrades, although they recently installed new reclining seats. This theater looks like something from the 80s. Their major downfall is their rude employees. Most of the time they have teenagers working there -Which is fine, its a starter job. Just dont expect any my pleasures from them. I feel bad going to the movies here because everyone working there looks like they hate their lives. Maybe it could be their management/owners but who knows. The place is trashed and dirty most of the time. We only come here if we have to, otherwise I just save my coins and go to another theater out of town.

The popcorn and dp were good, the movie was great and the seats were so comfortable. My husbands seat was broke, all in all just great.

I’ve been standing in line for literally thirty minutes, just to get some popcorn. This is nuts! I get waiting if. Alone is long, but there weren’t even thirty people in line. I’m new to Greenville, but this is nuts. The employees are super nice, but the place is way too busy for so few employees.

Just ok. Speakers were broken and popping in our movie, the snack bar soda fountains were all broken so all we could purchase were water or slushies. It was disappointing.

The prices here are unbeatable as far as the movie tickets go. The concession stand is high like most movie theaters. The seats are comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed our first visit there.

First let me say that I understand they cant do anything about power failures, but they can notify their customers that they are having mechanical trouble sooner and give them the option of waiting or refund sooner than an hour after the scheduled start of the movie..... This was a kids movie and the children in the theater were getting restless.

Employees are always very nice, but the floors are always sticky and lines are usually long.

I have found the theater and restrooms to always be clean when I have gone. Good price for a movie during daytime hours. The only suggestion I have is during spring break, new releases and any other busy times, it would be helpful to have 2 persons at ticket booths. Staff always friendly and polite, decent prices at concession stands. I guess since Im of older generation I learned to arrive early and expect crowds instead of waiting to get there and have to rush. Seats that Ive sat in have been decent but glad to see they are upgrading. Will continue to be a patron!

Not a great theater, but its is inexpensive and theyre upgraded the sound and projectors over time.

At times good Seating is limited on the weekends. I would times to go is early mornings and early afternoons or during the week this place will be empty and you can sit at any given seat. Heard they are getting new seating I tried them out and they will be pretty comfy!

The staff was very rude and the theater was nasty and one of the staff got an attitude with my 12 yr old son and I went off on him and he still would not apologize

Sound quality is usually good. Long line at concessions so get there early...extra early for Thursday night premiers. Floors need a good cleaning as it was sticky everywhere you walked.

Lots of options for matinee movies and the seats are very nice. Something to be aware of though not all theaters have the same style of chairs. Its a surprise each time to see what kind you get.

Movie didnt play. Was offered a refund instead. Staff was polite, but I still didnt get to see a movie, which was the whole point of going to the theater.

Love this little home town theater. The new recilning seats are comfortable and prices are reasonable.

We have been going here for a lot of years. Its close to home. It seams that it needs something to make it feel exciting. Not to many smiling faces. If you go its to watch the movie because its the only thing lively about the place.

Since this is my only option for a movie in Greenville, I visit at least once a week. The prices are good. The staff work hard and give good service, even though they are usually shorthanded. The management constantly understaff, making for long lines of frustrated customers during peak times. The management also take a peculiar approach to concessions. Their display cases have black and white photos of candies, instead of having the actual candies on display. While the popcorn is usually fresh, there arent any hot dogs readily available 95% of the time I visit. (The staff can pull a hot dog from a sketchy bucket in the refrigerator, then heat it in the microwave before handing it over. . . No thanks, Im all full up on food poisoning risk today.) Very disappointing for me since I love a dog with my popcorn. The restrooms in the main lobby are clean, but several doors have broken latches and you can count on at least one toilet being out of service. In the back, the womens toilets often are musty. I like the renovations they have made, but they schedule work during movie showings, which is a big hamper on the viewing experience when youre in the theater next door. Seriously you cant get those contractors working early in the AM and then shut down at 1pm when movies are showing? smh I hope the management can kick their efforts up a few notches.

DO NOT USE THEATER #5, . . . everything was great except for the speakers. The speakers appear to be blown.

Prices were good on the matinee at $5. The facility is old and dirty. The seats were good and comfortable. But, the staff takes snacks into the theater for the customers, which results in a huge long line. It seems like a good idea but the end result is that I missed the first 5 minutes of the movie.

Horrible. Saturday over Christmas break and almost every movie is sold out, which is understandable. What isnt understandable is that they have 1 window open to sell tickets and its freezing outside. Furthermore, you wait in line for 30 minutes to get him there and they tell you its sold out. Heres a great idea- put a sign up so ppl dont have to wait in line for no reason! Same thing for concessions- 40 minute wait and 3 cashiers open. Hello- you have 8 registers and additional concessions that can be utilized to decrease the wait!

They apparently find it acceptable to not sell tickets at the box office at times. Instead you have to buy them at the. Concession stand. During the arbitrary times this happens the line becomes too long for you to purchase a ticket in time to see all of the movie. Majestic 12 saves a few bucks on less employees at your inconvenience.

Was not impressed due to ignorant people...being loud and disrespectful. The movie I saw would of been good without all the noise. Also,the screen was so far away and didnt seem very big to me.

After 2 years of boycotting due to poor food, sticky floors, long lines and poor service. My husband and I will be giving this theater one last try this weekend hoping they have pulled this business together. I’ll let you know.

Think it is pretty silly on a Saturday that they dont open doors till 1230 first movie at 1250 and understaffed at concessions. Poorly planned.will probably not be back to this place till they get there act together

Not the fanciest place but the temperature is right in the building the movie snacks are great the price is definitely right for a movie.Its close by and always has the newest movies

First movie for me in long time, now I remember why I stopped. Seating comfortable, only 20 people for 4 PM showing so not crowded, cool but not freezing (as often the case), sound ! 30 minutes before the movie the ads start and they were deafening, then the movie and so loud it hurts, WTH ! A Star is Born remake with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. Movie worth seeing but recommend using hearing protection .

Its a good theater. Needs some major updates and more food options but its cheaper than most theaters.

Tyler at the concession stand is absolutely amazing deserves rasie!!!! We had to drive from our town to Greenville to see EndGame even though we bought tickets at 2pm from Trans Texas Theater in sulphur springs they kept selling seats even after it was sold out!

The service is great, these people work quickly and are polite. However the condition of this theater is despicable. The screen was ripped in the first movie I saw and in the second theater the seats were broken in three of the open rows. These theaters need a serious upgrade, especially with the population influx to Greenville.

Big crowd in the evening, but fast service at the concession stand even being able to buy movie tickets. Excellent popcorn, all kinds of stuff to put on it. Senior discounts as well. Great job Majestic 12! Ill be back.

Plan on standing in line forever. When you mention out of napkins/powdered cheese, employees just shrug shoulders. Do nothing about it. Definitely better choice to go to Rockwall.
