During this time of the pandemic, the trails at Bur-mil (near the wildlife center) have provided our family the greatest joy to our spirit. The City of Greensboro has our gratitude for preserving and maintaining this wonderful sanctuary.We love taking walks down both directions.The trail that goes towards Strawberry road is less challenging but also has less tree cover. The highlight of this trail is the small clearing near the lake where you can enjoy the cool breeze of the lake. Its also a great place to hang your hammock.The trail that goes straight down from the wildlife center is more interesting because it bends and curves and goes up and down constantly. It also has a good tree cover throughout. The highlight of this trail is the bench on the left at the big metal bridge. Waiting for people to vacate the bench soon is expecting too much! Its a wonderful place to sit, relax and enjoy the view of the lake. Dont forget the flask of hot coffee and cookies.My only criticism is that some cyclists ride too fast down the trail, which can be extremely dangerous as there are many families with kids and elderly people that walk down these trails. However, the majority of the cyclists ride responsibly.

So the family goes to Bur-Mil park often to ride our bikes. My wife, daughter, and myself tend to stay on the paved trails while our college age son tends to take the dirt mountain bike trails. The paved trails are simply beautiful as the go back a lake, a couple of ponds, and lots of wooded areas. The inclines are gentle providing a nice ride, but getting in a workout as well. According to my son there are quite a few options for the mountain bike trails with varying degrees of difficulty - so pick your trail wisely - there is plenty of online information about the different trails, so you might want to google first. This is his favorite to get in a quick mountain bike ride. Overall, good outdoors spot for family bike riding!

Where do I start, this park is absolutely amazing. I love how the park have areas to rest and renew yourself or even stretch! The views are stunning as well.On the trail you will see lizards, turtles, ducks, dogs (on the leash) bike riders, runners, and walkers(fast paced) from.time to time. Moms with strollers rock!I do recommend everyone to try this park at least once. You can start on the battleground side and cross over the bridge, or start next to the wildlife center. Either way you will definitely get a food 5-7miles on this trail. Have FUN!!

Very beautiful park! Took engagement photos here today and came out beautiful! Very large park with trails, golf, shelter areas, wildlife museum, and beautiful lakes etc. Definitely a family park to walk, bike ride, have picnics, or dish.

This park has lots to offer and its huge, and you can access the Greenbelt from there leading to several different trails. Ill ride through Bur mill several times per month on my bike, its always clean. Check it out!

Great place to visit for the kids, helps them burn off steam and gives my wife and is chance do some walking.

Its close by use to work here years ago, once as a lifeguard at the pool,and then as a mixologist ( bartender) when it used to be a country club, ladies played bridge inside, and ofcourse it was a great place to play golf!

A Very clean immaculate park. Very well kept grass. Shelters have light and electric outlets.Restroms are clean and open.A great place for a bike trail ride, fishing , volleyball court or just seat and relax. very quiet place no loud music allowed.

We were there to expose our puppy to activity that wasnt all about him. Definitely met our needs

I had to walk 5 miles there. It was terrible. disgusting. If There is one place I am never going back it is that place. Seriously suggest not to go there

A nice hidden treasure in Greensboro. I have lived here for well over a year and was introduced to this gem. Par 3, driving range, fishing ponds, access to the Greenway, and more. If you have little ones that you want to introduce to fishing this little pond is weel stocked and great access and safe.

Owls Roost Trail is a great hiking/biking trail. About 5 mile loop it is always well maintained and full of up hills, downhill, and beautiful lake views.

Nice par 3 course. The greens are really thick and not great for putting but I went to work on my shots into the green so that was not an issue for me.

Beautiful well kept grounds, with fishing, walking trails, and variety of wildlife.

Explored the trail, its the awesome place to go for walk and cycling.

Having biking and hiking trails as one is not a bright idea. My foot got ran over today while I was visiting for the first time.

It is a nice place for hang out, but for photography, i would prefer nesrby lake brandit marina for the nice pier...

Enjoyed the paved greenway. Everyones etiquette was great while riding their cycles. Nice and quiet and serene. Definitely an easy walk to clear your mind.

I had a good time here, lovely walk on the trail, beautiful view of the lake Brandt from the pier....breath taking!!

Great park with amenities like pool, playground, tennis, par 3 golf, driving range, picnic shelters, trails and Greenway.

I was really impressed with this park!! Its very well maintained and the roads are easy to navigate between all the different buildings and seating areas. My only complaints mostly pertain to the park being tricky for first time visitors, as my family and I were. In my opinion, the trails arent easily marked (we had trouble even finding a map to where the trails were or started) and it took some walking around after guessing where to park to get started on our hike. The trails are also not identified by difficulty, which resulted in us being unable to complete our walk, and we werent the only ones that encountered this issue! I had gone with family and assumed that one of the loop trails would be an easy walk for everyone, but my boyfriends grandmother (who is still quite active and works out nearly every day!) really struggled to get part of the way through the trail due to steep hills. We came across an older couple that was also trying to find their way back to the paved part of the park while carrying their over exerted dog. Other than that, its a beautiful park and my boyfriend and I will definitely return to hike all the trails, and to bring our bikes! I still think that this park is fantastic for most people, as they have a paved road that goes along the lake thats easier for people who struggle with hills and areas that are great for children. Its dog friendly and actually bike friendly (with lots of bike stations) and benches along the way. If we had known the trails were as challenging as they were, we would have stuck to the paved pathway and we would have been fine!

One of my favorite parks in the area for trail running. Its also a beautiful area. The Greenway also connects to this park and offers plenty of more miles in the Greensboro area.

Awesome venue for weddings and events. Mass amounts of space. Beautiful scenery.

Nice park.Excellent building available to rent for events. Used to be the Clubhouse for Burlington Mills, now belongs to the City. I visited for a wedding; it didnt feel like a government building at all, Id recommend it.

Great trails, great facilities, great outdoor fun for all. They got good golf holes, nothing crazy, good shooting range. Pool gets busy practically all the time. Tennis lessons are held there. When the weather is great, come here and youll have fun!

Went here for wedding and the facility is beautiful on the inside. So much potential to decorate the way you want. The air conditioning wasnt working properly at all and we left the facility drenched in our own sweat.

The week day I went there was hardly anyone there which was nice. Bathrooms could use some updating. Me and the kids had fun.

Fun place to visit and hike

Wonderful wooded trails here, connects with the Atlantic & Yadkin Greenway. We like the playground for our preschool aged children. During the summer, the pool (aquatic center) is our favorite public option in the city.

I love the walking trail here. And its got a cool bridge, my kids love it.

Excellent place for a barbeque or play tennis

I was just in the club house/event center for work, but its a really nice, clean space and would be great for an event. Nice views out the windows. There is a golf course, driving range and pool onsite as well. It is in an easily accessible location with ample parking. The only reason Im giving it 4 stars, and not 5, is because the bathrooms in the event space definitely need upgrading. The rest of the space is much nicer, so Im not sure what happened with the bathrooms.

This is a great facility. You can get a bucket of large golf balls for the driving range for only 6.00. Wow

A busy Park on weekends! We had a picnic under one of the empty shelters that was left at the end of the park, by the pool was full of people and many of the shelters were being used for reunions and church meetings on Sunday afternoon. It was great to see so many people in the park.

Tails are well maintained and are fun to ride even though a couple sections should be worked on though.

Bur-Mil is my favorite park to go to for bike riding, but not for walking my dog. Why arent there any dog stations?

You have many options to rent different size room which is a plus for me, also they give you options to bring in your own food or have it cater, my friend had had wedding there and it was beautiful, the staffs there gave us excellent service

A great fall festival, hayrides, music, and food were all excellent. Great place for kids the eco truck was amazing with all the animals.

Our family really enjoys Bur-Mil Park. It has a pool, a driving range, tennis courts, volleyball nets, two playgrounds, a fishing pond, a small free interactive museum thats great for kids and plenty of hiking/biking trails. The park also directly connects to the greenway and Lake Brandt. The park also has a club house that regularly facilitates early voting for the surrounding area. A great facility and park for northwest Greensboro.
