The young girl at the concession stand was EXTREMELY rude. She threw the credit card back at my kids instead of handing it to them. She thought their parents were not around to catch her in the act. She was not polite in any shape or form. No one had a mask on during this pandemic. Not even her while she’s handling people’s food. Someone needs to shut this place down.

This place was very unwelcoming. Lady in the front did not greet us at all. You can tell there are usuals here that are not very friendly. I do not recommend this place. Especially not for young children.

There are some pretty scathing reviews for this place...maybe theyre not all for the Stagecoach Trail location, but on reading those reviews while en route, i had one of those uh oh...what have we gotten ourselves into? moments and suddenly wished that a different activity had been chosen for the birthday party.however, upon entering the building, all of my hesitancy and reservations were quelled: the facility was in great shape and all of the employees i dealt with were very pleasant. Full disclosure: i did not rent skates, so i cannot speak to that experience, nor to the quality of the rented skates (which some of the members of our party had). All the rented skates that i saw looked decent enough, and i heard no complaints from those wearing them. The dj played a great mix of contemporary hits, a good deal of them from the first decade of the 2000s, with some nice, classic, old school 80s and 90s tracks slipped in there for fun...even one or two from the 70s. When clearing the floor for the different levels of skaters--alright, lets get all the boys/girls who like to skate FAST out here on the floor now!--he was never rude.All in all, everyone had a good time, kids and parents alike. I would recommend.

I have skated here often, its kept very clean, staff is overall friendly, food options are limited but varied enough to keep everyone happy while there. You cannot bring outside food or drink in so eat before if you dont want to buy food, if not prices are reasonable. Great for seasoned skaters because there are no skate helpers to roll in you path unexpectedly. On that note, for children learning to skate or who are very young an adult will need to be wearing skates on the floor to help since there is no wall around 2/3 or the floor. Overall really nice place, great atmosphere, mix of current music, just note that for learning youngsters, an adult will need to help since there are no skate helpers.

Such a fun place for families. I love that they host school events. Its a great way to fundraise for schools.the staff is friendly and helpful. Its exactly as I remembered skating as a kid! Its like these places do not change! I like that about this place. Skate rental is cheap. Its a little out of the way for us but I like the location.

A great place for skating. It is stuck in the 80s, but at least its 1989. Good place for birthday parties, school events, or any other type of loner skating activities you weirdos might be into. Just kidding, come on down, youll have a great time.

The kids seem to have fun. It was my nephews birthday but it was really crowded in the birthday table section. Couldnt really enjoy that part of it. But the acting was nice.

I was highly disappointed during school skate night. My daughters friend shoes were stolen until his Dad had to ask for them they mysteriously appeared. I want ever send my child is a pair of name brand shoes if shes wearing their skates.

My girls love going here and the price is perfect for a single mom like me.

We celebrated my God daughter’s second birthday here. They do not have training skates for kids that are learning to skate. They do not have guard rails or border walls to hold on to if one needs to stop themselves from the ancient and torn skates they provide.The staff were extremely rude and had no customer service skills whatsoever. We were greeted at the door with a disgusting attitude. We were told that we could not bring in any food from outside but they provide preheated dominos pizzas for birthday parties. We ordered 12 drinks. 6 waters and 6 Sierra mists. They gave us carbonated water instead of Sierra Mist. My God daughter only turned 2 and they had a problem with us carrying her because she couldn’t skate but didn’t have training skates for her to learn. Every staff member here was rude. I would NOT recommended this skating rink to anyone.

I have skated at the rinks all over the Triad..... this location is the best maintained...(best skating surface of all the rinks)... friendliest staff.... current music with some variation.... adult and kid friendly...I have a blast each time I visit... great exercise!

Had my daughters second birthday party here. The staff was extremely rude and obnoxious - no customer service skills whatsoever; everyone seemed to have attitude problems. Almost seemed as though they were racist. There were no rails for the children to hold onto and they didnt have the toddler-friendly skates that I am accustomed to using at other skating rinks. They also tell you not to bring outside food or drinks in, but they order Dominos pizza when you have a birthday party. I will never go to this location again. Horrible experience and money wasted.

Would recommend buying and bringing your own skates if you skate a lot as the rental fee would add up over time. Well maintained floor, plenty of seating, up to date equipment, and a variety of snack offerings.

Nice floor, you could tell it was recently waxed. Staff was pleasant. Had a good time. I would however suggest you bring your own skates especially if you wear a mens 12 or larger. The skates are 30+ years old or older.

Rude staff. Shoe rental kids stood talked while about 4 people were waiting to exchange our shoes. People selling tickets were rude. Just overall no customer service. Will go elsewhere next time.

Wish the music choice would be a bit more diverse, to include 80s and 90s songs. Otherwise fun time there, and it wasnt crowded on a tuesday night.

Great skate spot for the family!

Saw one of the employees getting busy with a redhead girl in the parking lot. The employees name is Will. Girl drove off and he walked behind the counters without washing his hands. Didn’t think I would see anything sexual at a place meant for kids. (Girl looked underaged too)

Reasonable price to skate. Its nice and clean. The only thing was if you wanted something from the concession stand, you had to have cash which I never carry. Inconvenient for me. My children had a lot of fun though.

We had my daughters 2nd birthday party there this weekend. I was not pleased with some of the staff members there. They where very rude. Especially the older staff workers.

We took our family tonight for skating with our sons local school. I have a few gripes with the place. The skating was fun, as its hard to mess that up. The problems I have are that this place employees teenagers who are very apathetic and have an attitude. The ones giving out skates were rude and non-relational, as were the ones at the concessions area. I paid for a large drink and water (prob at least $5 for the both) and put them over on the side, away from people as we were skating. I had the intention of going back to pick them up when the place closed. When it did I was immediately making a b-line to retrieve them, only to find the girl throwing them away before I could reach them, giving no one anytime to get them before they were discarded. I went over and asked the other girl could I get a refill because this one threw them away. She said in her apathetic tone, that I could not and it was their policy to immediately throw them away upon closing. Not impressed with the customer service. Please hire better people that care about relating to people and having good customer service. It really detracted from things.

The skating rink staff is friendly and alert, plus its very clean. While paying in the front for admission, you have the option to use cash or a bank card. You dont have to pay if youre not skating. They provide skates or you can bring your own. Now to buy snacks and hot food in there, you must have cash..so no card allowed on that part. Thats what sent my rating down to 4. They do have video games in there and prize machines. The location is isolated, but there is a convenient store once you turn off the street of the skating rink.

Chaperoned a bday party here. This rink sucks. Theres no guard rail for the kids getting on/off the floor. The music is extremely low. Its just old. Really really old and dated.

I couldnt pass a chance to go skating with my 2 grown daughters and my 2 granddaughters..I havent roller skating in 20 years and I had a wonderful time and will be going back. I want to thank the nice lady there for giving my daughter, Megan and myself 2 free passes...Brad Rush...

This is a family fun clean place that is not usually crowded. I have two smaller boys who are learning so its important to find a place I feel they are safe from heavy skate traffic. Its a family business as well and its a little cheaper than the other rinks. The rink is really well maintained.

Super clean place. Floor well maintained and quite large, very good admission price, plenty to choose from at the snack bar, employees friendly and helpful. Wonderful place for a birthday party, exercise, or just hang out. You can also purchase and order your own skates there. Disco balls!!!!

Best rink around, employees are friendly, and the floor is kept clean. My husband and I have tried just about all of the skating rinks around and have found that this is the best. Even the rental skates (although may be old) are cleaner than any other rentals at the other rinks. We have our own and the wheels are black at the end of the session at the other rinks, but not here. This is our favorite. We travel from Thomasville to go to this one.

Neatly maintained, keep sending some offers to make a better deal. They are also into fundraising activity for local schools... Thats way I appreciate them and love to visit for a good cause. Friendly staff and helpful too. Its a good place to spend some free fun-time.

Very spacious rink and the floor is great to skate on. The sound system isnt that loud. The people are very friendly and helpful with skate sizes considering they dont have half sizes. The crowd is never just teenagers. Love this place, family orientated.

My daughter loves to skate here. We used to go because the local elementary school has a skate night there once a month, normally the middle Tuesday at 6:30 PM. The pricing is good too, although you will need cash if you want to buy food or drinks from the concession area, because they only take cash. If you do need cash off of your card for concessions, you can ask the cashier at front when you are paying to go into the rink, and she can add it to your skating fee and give you the amount in cash.

Seawells used to take me here 18 years ago and its still the same great place. Took me back going here.

My daughter loves the skate lessons here and the open skate time. A few table/booth and game updates would be nice, but its a decent place.

I love skate land west. Ive been skating there since I was a kid. Now I take my daughter every chance we can get to go.We also had a birthday party for my daughter and it was awesome all of my guest had a great time. The staff has always been wonderful to us.

Racist employees. Had a blast until it was time to turn in skates. The young boy bypassed me twice to grab shoes that were thrown on the counter while i watched him look me in my face. When i said something, he gave an excuse. The older man should have spoke up about it.

Went for a school skate night. The rink is Cash Only. The skates are kinda outdated and worn out. First pair I was missing a tongue on the left skate and the second pair the bearings in the wheels were shot. Maybe I was just lucky enough to get two defective pairs. The staff was literally run by kids (15-17 yrs old). I gave it 3 stars because the sole purpose of going was to skate and there arent many places to roller skate in Greensboro. Hope this helps.

Music is to loud, to suggestive for people who dont like loud offensive music. Were not going back to this skating rink. My suggestion is they offer a alternative skating time where music isnt played or classical music is played.

We go here becuase it is close and there is no competition. Some of the staff is nice and the other half is R-U-D-E!! The skating floor is in good shape, but their skates are horrible. At the end of the day, you really dont interact with the staff much, so their attitudes dont bother me. However, if you are relying on them to supply you with skates, you are in for a rude awakening. The wheels are not alligned, they are holey, the staples stab you in the foot and they are all torn on the inside. If you have your own skates though, then you are good to go and have a great time. I do wish they were nicer and I am so sad they will not maintain their skates. I assume they would rather shut down than fix the skates, so maybe they are waiting on someone to tell them to close their doors or maybe buy it from them.

How are you gonna hand me skating shoes then mid skating call me out and say we do not allow hats. Quite absurd, very unprofessional business.

Threw my nieces birthday party here and I personally was not a fan. The food is SEVERELY overpriced and the party package is misleading. We were also given carbonated water instead of sprite and by the time I realised, it was pointless.The DJ seemed disgruntled the entire time, borderline berating the kids during a skating game and kicking the 20 kids off the rink to let 2 old men speed skate (wouldnt have been so bad if hed done better than dryly saying get off the rink).All of that said - the kids were oblivious to any of the complaints I was having and they had a great time. So if youre willing to dish out the money and have the patience to deal with the cons, your kids will very likely enjoy themselves.

Reserved a bday party for my 5 yr old. They did not tell me that they dont have the walkers to help them skate. Did not tell me that they dont take cards to pay for the party so I had to leave.

I had my daughters birthday party at this location. Our experience was anything but enjoyable. The staff was extremely rude to my family and our guests. No one helped us set-up, clean up, or organize any of the party. The only interaction the staff had with our children was when they rudely told them to get off the floor. After the party was over, my husband and I were cleaning up the tables and carrying presents to the car, when one of the staff members approached me and demanded that I pay for our party immediately. (When we had already offered to pay at the beginning but were told not to) She then, proceeded to tell me that we didnt pay her quickly enough, and that she wanted to settle her books. When my husband spoke with her about our experience, she completely dismissed what he said. She spoke over him, and never apologized. Needless to say, we wont spend anymore time or money at Skateland West.

How could you go wrong skating fun place with the kids and the adults

In my opinion, I love skating, so I obviously love this place.

I was rather disappointed when I received a phone call from my 13 year old daughter telling me that Skateland decided to close early because her and her friend were the last skaters so they had to leave. Fortunately I was only a couple of minutes away because I left my house early, otherwise they would have had to wait outside for 15 minutes till 9:00, when I originally planned to get there. First off, it really ticks me off that my daughter and her friend were made to stand outside by themselves without any supervision at this day and time with the crime thats been going on these days especially when the skating rink should still be open. Secondly, its bad business to advertise that your open till 9 but decide to close early all because you are slow even though people, even if its just a couple or a few are still inside. They paid to come in till 9 and they should have the right to stay in there until that time. I will never recommend this place to anyone I know! Its probably instances like this that kill your business in the first place.!

The only thing that saved this place from 1 star, was the young men taking tickets for skates and the young ladies working the food and drink counter. They were courteous, kind and eager to help. The rest of the staff were ridiculously rude before I even said hello. They had nasty disposition just from me and my child walking up to the window. I let her know we were there for a party she gave me one ticket, I assumed only kids were paid for which is fine so I got settled and came back to purchase a ticket. Only to find out the party I came with purchased enough tickets for our entire party to skate, kids and parents both smh. Im a huge fan of cutomer service. I will not be frequenting this establishment.

Have been skating there since I was a kid and now my grandson would rather ride an hour to thisnri k rather than our local rink ..I would give it 5 stars but the pizza was horrible and the nachos were really stale.also the video games and such are really dateD ...The staff is very friendly and the coaches are very patient with new skaters for the classes

The place was way too over crowded, the female taking the money I believe her name was Myla or something like that was rude and hateful!! I paid $180 and got 3 small tables which wasnt enough for my guests! My tables were taken over by people who were also having birthday parties!! Children at my daughters birthday party were threatened and bullied by teens that were there! I told several members of the staff about all of the unacceptable occurrences and nothing was done to resolve it!! It was a terrible experience and I would never book a party there again!!! This skating rink is a disgrace and more concerned about raking in as much of peoples money as they can than they are with having satisfied customers! Zero stars for them!!!
