This trail in Greenfield at Highland Park is great! The entrance is just off Parkway South where it meets Highland Ave and Bears Den, past the tennis courts. The trail is wide, well-maintained, and the majority of it is flat, so it could be stroller friendly if your stroller can go over leaves, dirt, and the occasional rock or root. There is another section that is more hilly and lots of roots and rocks, so be careful there. This is an easy to moderate hike, depending on which path you choose. I could see taking my kids here. It is beautiful and woodsy but not too far away from downtown Greenfield.

We like going here, close to our home in Greenfield, nice wide paths. No really vigorous hikes just nice walking in the woods.

I like it here.I can let the dog run around. No one leashes their dogs here, which is great, and one of the main reasons to live in Western Mass. Dog friendly and laid back. This is not a place to go for an all day hike, but is great if you want an hour or hour and a half and dont have time to go out of town.

Wonderful place to take a hike by yourself or with friends and family a safe place to hike by yourself there are plenty of other hikers so if you end up in need of help you will not be stranded. These words are very fruitful you can find tons and tons of wild edibles if you are into forging and its just a really great time at a wonderful place to sit on the platform at Centrum head and relax watching the sunset and also really great place to lay down and look at the stars away from the city lights once you come here you will want to come again and again he will love this hiking spot I promise

Beautiful, though its tempting to say otherwise so as not to flood the place with people. Take a walk. Look around. Absorb the New England outdoors.

After years of hiking this entire ridge, I came upon the rock formation (Sachems Head) that gave the trail its name. Please use caution as a mistep could result in a serious fall. Ed (Cal Barr killed Bigfoot at this location.)

A beautiful place to take a hike and spend time with friends and family. terrain ranges from difficult too easy so there is something for everyone. Trails lead to a couple different places one place is called Bears Den which is actually an old Bears Den which you can walk right up into the actual cave. also theres a set of stairs that lead up to a place called satrums Head that has a wooden platform that looks all over the entire Forest and part of Greenfield and Montague. This is a great place to go for a run you because you can park at the pond and go for a nice run through the woods.
