Really cool hidden gem. If you are driving too fast you might miss the tiny parking lot. The single trail is about 1.5 miles long. The beginning is easy and towards the end it gets moderate/difficult. There are ruins form and old quarry, beautiful cliffs, moss, and ferns.

As someone who loves ferns, moss, and lichens- this place was heavenly! Most of the trail/s are very easy, though to get the best view of the moss and fern covered cliff faces you have to follow a steep and narrow path. Definitely worth it if youre able, but there is still plenty to enjoy if not!

Beautiful off the beaten path nature preserve. Very well preserved. Unique geologically and it seemed like a diverse set of bird, mushroom, floral, and insect species. The sandstone cliffs are gorgeous!

Not a huge place and a bit off the grid. But if in the green castle area its worth a quick stop. Huge cliff drop offs and a couple really amazing views. The trail is only about a 15 min walk before you reach the cliffs

Very secluded little park. It’s a long walk to see anything interesting. The sandstone cliffs are pretty neat, if you’re looking for a hike. Take a long stick to sweep the spider webs away from the path; this park isn’t used much so the spiders can take over in the interim.

A nice hike in the woods to maybe the only sheer face cliffs in Indiana. Worth the trip if youre a fellow woodland creature

A relatively easy hike till you get to the ravine. Very tranquil and quite and beautiful. If you are a fan of Turkey Run and Shades park then you will definitely enjoy this place. Especially for its off the beaten path placement. I had it all to myself till I was leaving.

Quiet woodland path leads along the way back to the abandoned quarry area. Beware potential dropoffs and cliffs. Creek meanders along the area below. There are no improvements available.

Its beautiful there. It wouldve been nice to have a loop trail. As it is, you follow the main trail until it fizzles out. Then you turn around and go back. I wonder if the trail was intended to continue farther.

In wild nature. Narrow trails, and over grown lower tree branches are crossing over. Many spiderweb hit my face. If I missed the sign of Dangerous Cliff probable I would see the cliff in last minute. It appears unexpectedly but it is definitely worthy. I have not gone all the way down the bottom. If I had someone with me I would have explore more but not being able to see the ground covered by moss and leaves, didnt give courage to move between the giant rocks.

Its a great nature preserve for a family walk. The only downfall is the quality of the road to get there. For a government preserve, the road is in terrible condition. It is a gravel road with hundreds of potholes from lack of maintenance. It either needs to be a paved or chip and seal road simply due to the amount of rain that flows down the road and creates poor conditions. I think a better roadway there would interest more people in visiting.

The cliffs are really neat. We bushwacked our own trail on top of the cliffs to try and find the remains of the quarry. I was surprised there wasnt a trail over to it; however, we did not climb down through the cliffs and it looked like you can get to the quarry from the bottom.

This is a small nature preserve in the middle of nowhere. There seems to be only 1 trail, and it is overgrown with trees and other plants most of the way. But it leads to multiple dramatic overlooks with steep drop offs. Theres even a beautiful stream at the bottom. Bring plenty of bug spray.

Great place to visit in the fall. I usually avoid it during the spring and summer because I hate walking through all the spider webs.

My absolute favorite nature preserve! Very clean and completely gorgeous, the views are incredible. The remains of the first Coca-Cola bottling facility can still be found at the base of the cliffs, and the remote location means there are few visitors --i rarely see anyone else hiking there at all. The parking has been improved recently also. I highly recommend checking out the cliffs!
