Feels more rocky mountain wilderness than Indiana. Desolate with a cearwater pond full of fish. Peaceful, quiet, long trails. Great place to ride mountain bikes. Creek bordering west side of quarry great for kids to cool off in. Its like a vacation from Indy but only 45 min West of it. Oh and...FREE! :) P.S. Stay for stunning sunset views from the atop the quarry

Great place to go to get out of town and enjoy nature. Trails are nicely laid out and maps labeled with different levels of difficulty. Great place to bird watch or other wildlife or have picnic. Wooded are and open space for kite flying or to throw a frisbee. Covered deck with seating. Kids love this place, pet friendly.

It is truly always a delight to work at the Prindle Institute for Ethics. The state of the art facility is gorgeous and set apart from the rest of the administrative buildings and classrooms in a curated segment of nature. Super peaceful vibes and accommodating staff. DePauw scholars I’ve worked with who have taken courses at the Center have all given positive reviews.

Absolutely one of the best things in greencastle. Though small, it easily competes with your typical state park. No entrance fee, and its regularly maintained.

Always beautiful and well kept, just wish bathrooms were available all the time.

Stunning park, nothing like it in Indiana! I had to double check location to see if this was still in Indiana! Very unique foliage and rock formations. Not to mention the small pools of water on the inside of the bowl full of animal life.

I was really pleasantly surprised on how nice this park was. The quarry area is beautiful and really unique. Its very diverse in the style of scenery you will see.

Absolutely beautiful. Its definitely a rugged ride, but its my favorite place that I have ever ridden my bike (but definitely not for the faint of heart or unprepared.) Beautiful views from all sides of the quarry, and a bunch of great wooded trails and river trails. You cant miss this.

Not sure if I should brag about this place....it might become more crowded. Lol. We like this place very much. Well marked trails, variety to chose from. Nothing too long either. You can easily add to your distance if needed. Grat spot for bird enthusiasts as well.

What a wonderful Park, a lot of hiking trails by a beautiful River and it was peaceful and so quiet. I got my internal batteries charged up. Lol Defiantly Will be going back!! Would reccomend!!

State is level 4 opening, while Nature Park bathrooms are still closed. This is unacceptable for people with kids, or walking from far distance to park and may need the restroom.

Great variety of trails for running/hiking/biking. My favorite trail goes along the Big Walnut Creek.

This park is amazing. The results are well taken care of and there are a variety of different reasons to run, walk or bike. The results are beautiful too which makes it better.

The best use of an old quarry. I love walking the rim trail every time I visit since it offers a great view of everything.

Incredible place. Love the trail system.

I walk here everyday the indoor track is closed. It is free, has developed trails, nice parking and is very safe. The hardest work out is the rim trail around the abandon gravel pit. Step grade. The remaining trails are creekside. All trails are wooded and much to experience in both flora and fauna.

Hands down one of the best places in our town.

Take our Ms. Rosie for walks there, she is part bloodhound so it takes a long time since she has to smell everything along the way. She loves it and so do we.

This is an old stone quarry. Lots of hiking and bike trails ~8 miles I think. Never crowded.
