Free admission. Plan on 30 minutes minimum, 2 hours if youre a reader. High quality displays set up in an interesting and well-interpreted manner. Definitely oriented towards local town history. Not a haphazard collection of junk remaining after everyone took what they wanted and several garage sales after grandma died like most local museums.

It is a wonderful place. We had a lot of fun looking around and learning about the history of Great Falls. Also the gift shop is amazing.

I visited lots of museums all over the country, and this is definitely not a five-star museum. The reason for the rating is because we just have absolutely nothing around here, and so, a place like this definitely stands out its a fun place for an individual and a fun place for the family. Parking is extremely limited and so are hours, so I would recommend getting some information ahead of time if this is an activity youre planning.

The History Museum has spent several years building up their inventory and investment in the community. The people that work and that are involved in the Museum truly love what they do. A true treasure in Great Falls and a must see.

The historical society moved out of the Great Falls Public Library into the old Northern School Supply building. They do a great deal of swapping the great stuff around so its always a good idea to check in to see whats new and find that toy for sale you remember.

This museum is a nice surprise. What makes it unique are the items displayed and that they were actually used here in the local area. There are no experience it by touch areas, so it is geared mostly toward a crowd that can read.

Online it says they are open on days they are not, so we made an 80 mile trip for nothing!
