Great walking course. Not as long, perhaps, as others in he area; but not an executive style par-3 by any means. Generally in good shape and the price is definitely one of the lowest in this area.

The people they have working in the pro shop are terrible-Since my golf partner died I have been playing solo and every timeI talk to Janet I get a big hassle about being by myself and she wont let me book a tee time ever-This is the Lake County Forest Preserve district?I cant even book a tee time at a course my TAX dollars pay for?Janet has to go or their policies have to change or maybe they could refund me on my property taxes!

Okay golf course - but I did not feel welcome in the pro shop.I checked in & the gentleman took a phone call before helping me. He was very rude when he got around to helping me and was confrontational about my online reservation/payment through GolfNow.I am not sure what I did or if it was my appearance, but I will not be playing there again if that man is working in the pro shop.

Play this course almost every weekend with my good friend. The course was in awesome shape and everyone that works in the clubhouse are always helpful and friendly. This course is great for all skill levels.

I found this course to offer the best value for all it has to offer. The condition of the grounds are one of the nicest Ive seen at a value price point. Im happy that there are ball washing stations and nice signage at every hole. Porto Johns and rain shelters are provided at strategic locations. I golf at off peak times. Found the course to be very peaceful and challenging.

A perfect course for a beginner golfer with reasonable green fees. They have a practice green near the clubhouse and the course is in fairly good shape. The course is mostly flat and can is very walkable. They have great twilight deals but their staff does not let you stay on the course past 7 PM.

WE HAVE A TRAVELING GROUP OF PLAYERS FROM 12 TO 20 THAT TRAVEL EVERY SATURDAY . WE ARE THE DIXIE TRAVELING LEAGUE A GROUP WHICH HAS BEEN TOGETHER FOR 35+ YEARS . BECAUSE WE ARE LIKE A MINI TOURNAMENT WHEN I MAKE RESERVATIONS A REQUEST IS ALWAYS MADE FOR A REDUCED GREEN FEE WHICH COURSES THAT KNOW OUR GROUP ALWAYS AGREE TO AS WE STAY AFTER FOR FOOD AND DRINKS . WE USUALLY PLAY BRAE LOCHE TWO OR THREE TIMES A YEAR WITH THAT REDUCED RATE . RESERVATIONS WERE MADE BY ONE OF THE GROUP FOR LAST SATURDAY AND WHEN MADE WE WERE TOLD TO ASK FOR THE LOWER RATE WHEN CHECKING IN - I DID NOT LIKE THIS AS OFTEN THINGS GET LOST THIS WAY - I DID CALL BACK TO CHANGE OUR 16-SOME TO 12 AND SPOKE TO A YOUNG MAN AND TO HIM ASKED WHAT RATE WE WOULD BE PAYING SO I COULD NOTIFY OUR PLAYERS - HE SAID HE COULD NOT DO THE REDUCTION BUT WOULD HAVE SOMEONE WHO COULD CALL ME BACK , TO WHICH I SAID MAKE A NOTE IN THE COMPUTER SO I COULD TALK TO WHO EVER WHEN WE CAME DOWN A COUPLE DAYS LATER - WHEN WE GOT THERE AND I TOLD THIS STORY I WAS TOLD NO ONE BY THE NAME I GAVE WORKED THERE WHICH I SAID IS A LIE AS I HAD WRITTEN IT DOWN AND REQUESTED SHE CHECK THE COMPUTER AS I HAD REQUESTED IN MY TALK WITH THE PERSON TO DO SO . SUDDENLY THERE WAS A PERSON BY THAT NAME WORKING THERE !!AFTER MUCH DISCUSSION WITH BOTH THE WOMAN AND MAN WORKING - THERE WAS TO BE NO FEE REDUCTION - HAD THEY BEEN HONEST TO START WITH I NEVER WOULD HAVE BOOKED THE RESERVATION !!! NEEDLESS TO SAY OUR GROUP WILL NOT GO BACK TO THIS COURSE !! I CAN UNDERSTAND WHY THERE WAS LITTLE PLAY SATURDAY AS NO ONE MANAGING SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND THE BAR IS SO UNDER STOCKED ITS HARD TO GET A CALL DRINK . THE ROUGH WAS EXTRA LONG MAKING PLAY VERY SLOW . MAYBE OVER ALL ITS A BLESSING TO GIVE THIS COURSE UP AS NO ONE THERE CARES AND IT IS NOT A GOOD COURSE ANYWAY !!

Course was in excellent condition. Greens had some slope and interesting breaks. Only negative was the slow pace of play on a Sunday afternoon. Took almost 5 hours. Why dont they send out a staff person to help move things along?

They have great deals in the summer. The old guy inside is a bit cranky. The course is usually in good shape.

Short course that is not kept well, first bathroom area by third hole is absolutely disgusting, it seriously has feces on the floor!!!... I was told about the 90 degree cart path rule yet most holes dont even have a path! When I checked in I stood at pro shop counter for 10 minutes and was then rudely told by some disgruntled employee guy (apparently just passing through-not helping!) that the woman serving hot dogs at the bar is who you check in with. (Why have a check in desk then??? How about a sign???). This place is not even worth playing if you can play it for free. Its really sad that this exists in grayslake....dissapointing dump. Countryside and Thunderhawk are so much better for forest preserve courses.
