This place has history with my family. My grandfather proposed to my grandmother here. I learned to swim here, picnicked with family, and roamed the park as a young child. Plus, how many years have we seen fireworks and attended the fair here at Wilson Park?Today was to celebrate a young man who is leaving to attend college in Springfield, Missouri. Nick is a great kid and God has a plan for him. His family had a great outing at the park, at Shelter #8.The Park was clean, we saw staff come by regularly, and the weather cooperated for August infamous Dog Days of Summer.It was a fantastic day, and swell to see friends.

They do a really good job of keeping a place maintained. only real problem is the flooding sometimes when it rains heavy.

Wonderful park! Attended a hot air balloon glow event that was pretty cool.

Great place to just relax and explore a little. One of the very few recreational places to go in Granite City.

An older city park located in the center of Granite City, very secure safe environment. Tennis, basketball courts, base ball diamonds. Picnic areas and trails everywhere. 5star

A park is a park.The playground equipment is in good shape and the Kiddo loves it.Only complaint is that older kids hang around unchallenged by park staffed yelling obscenities at each other.

The park of the town it has wonderful flowers they plant every year it is the park district of Granite city and located centrally in the city nice place to take your dogs for a walk around the park or your family it’s very well lit has a lighting and security and other features of pavilions pools splash pads basketball court and birthday party pavilion rentals available as well as sports that you can join at the park district office and it has features to visit and monuments that have historical meaning to the city of Granite city Illinois wonderful must visit special place!

Beautiful park to walk. Not sure the distance to walk all the way around it. We walk daily if we can. Has restrooms next to a white gazebo which is always a must when walking exercising or having kids.

The Lemay swap meet its right across from the park in the DFW parking lot every Sunday amazing products people and just Outdoors.

They have updated all of the pavement around the park, so now there arent any rocks when you walk around the park. And the playgrounds are always clean when we go

I love granite City. This is a place where I grew up. The people are nice and always down for a pick up game of basketball or if you are in the mood for tennis. The park has it. Also in the park we have a swimming pool and ice rink. Good place to go when the sun is going down to walk with a love one or to look at the fountains the park has. Our park even has a skate park. We have one of the most beautiful parks I have ever seen. Its a peaceful place for me to go to collect my thoughts or to get the exercise I need. Kudos to the workers for doing such an excellent job!

Been coming here for almost 50 years. Its a family tradition to come here every year on the fourth of July to watch the fireworks. I would suggest you to take the whole family to start your own tradition. They also have a carnival the kids live Wilson patk at the fourth of July

I absolutely love this park because it has something for everyone. You can play basketball,tennis, skating board, rollerblading, swimming,ice skating in the winter, baseball or you can walk,jog,run, or casually sit in the beautiful flower garden and meditate/read a book. Also its very casual, peaceful, quiet, and safe you,kids and pets.

Had my daughters birthday here. It was amazing. Great scenery and no problems. The pavilions are huge and can accommodate large parties.

I was born and raised in granite city and this place is my heart. Its huge. With a little playground and a big playground. An ice rink and a pool with a huge water slide. A garden and a gazebo I cant say enough good things about wilson park I love it.

Took my granddaughter Ella Grace shes 3 and half years old to Wilson Park started at the fountain area.She absolutely loved the fountain with the big Koi fish in it. The Japanese Maple Trees were so Beautiful as was most of the area surrounding the Fountain the only drawback was it wasnt completely up and running the water part of the garden you could see where the water should be running thru it and all...but wasnt. Then took her down to the park area with all the slides. Nicest part of granite City.

It is a beautiful park. However, there used to be a swimming pool and a large pool house. The pool is long gone but the pool house still remains, vacant and an eyesore. I also had someone following me, for anyone else that could have been bad. In my case, I stay armed.

It has a nice scenery and there is little to no trash.

Nice park! Large swimming area, ice-skating, picnic/party shelters, play areas, summer concerts, walk/jog path and more than ample parking. Park district also offers memberships that give you park discounts. Its a summer frequent.

I love walking here..it is beautiful and peaceful. My dog loves it as well.

Well manicured, friendly people, it has a nice pool available for parties such as birthday parties for your children. They also have gazebos that you can reserve. Softball and baseball fields, hockey rink plus other amenities

I used to walk the whole track around and back to my car on my lunch HR from work. Its good for ur heath and is a real distress relievers. I love that park.

Its a cute park and a great place to take your children. A little muddy so beware certain areas and is also very large. Overall, a very nice place.

I adore our park. I grew up in it, swimming, playing tennis, ice skating, cycling, etc. Then, raised my daughter in it and now watching the grandchildren get to enjoy its many benefits and activities!

Been going to this park since I was a child. Good place to walk, walk your dog, exercise, take the kids to the playground and much more. There are yearly events such as 4th of July Carnival.

Senior citizens swim 11am - 12:00pm Monday through Saturday. If you have a park ID its free .very enjoyable

A great place for picnics, parties, school field trips. Plenty of space with pavilions for shelter. Softball field, basketball court, ice rink and playgrounds. Nice and quiet for those afternoon/evening walks. Great neighborhood area and shopping is just a stones throw away.

Great place to go for supervised playground for the younger kiddos. Skate park included. Ice rink, you can book pavilions when at the last minute sometimes. Workers are nice & courteous & always diving around through the park to keep it safe for everyone. Ball diamonds for the cities baseball teams to play at. Swimming pool. Always something going on whether its winter or summer.

Perhaps the greatest thing about Granite City is Wilson Park. Features include an ice rink, pool, baseball fields, tennis courts, a little skatepark, walking path, and b̶a̶s̶k̶e̶t̶b̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶c̶o̶u̶r̶t̶s̶!

Ive lived in this neighborhood now for 5 years and as a kid I went to this city pool with my cousins and it was very fun but now its so strict with teens who have major attitudes and none customer friendly at all! What kind of pool doesnt allow small rafts for 8 year olds??? You have to be kidding me! This place is a joke! Dont waste your money! You will thank me later! HIGHLY NOT RECOMENDED!!!

Wilson is a safe and great place for you to take kids or yourself to exercise or to relax. They usually have events there live music, the pool, the vendors, baseball games.

My daughter loves this park. Not a whole lot for older kids but the section for younger kids is doing great for us.

I absolutely love the park but the pool is a joke. I rented the park pool for my daughters birthday party. The life guards on duty that night were absolutely rude and ignorant towards my guests. One of the guests from the party cut his hand in the pool from the rust and paint chippings in the pool. There were all kinds of leaves and dead bugs floating in the pool also.

I have been their many times in my life, a peaceful place you can sit and reflect on the many great things, that have happened in your life, and / or walk that great Trail, over a Mile Long, Wilson Park is Very Well Maintained... Many, Many Improvements , over the many years, thay have been there...Always a favorite on the 4th of July, when the Carnival comes to town... Swimming Pool - Supervised, LifeGuards, Ice Skating Rink - In Season, Basketball Courts, Baseball Diamonds, Picnic Areas - which can be Reserved, for that Special Celebration, Beautiful Flower Gardens, Waterfalls, a Gazebo - on certain dates, they have live bands their, lots and lots of parking, all around the park...Always something happening at Wilson Park, if you really took your time and looked at everything, you could spend the whole day there... You could truly make it a family and / or friends affair... Enjoy your Wilson Park...

The Park have a nice tennis courts, swimming pool and tables for eating, walking paths and sporting events.

This is a great park to walk or picnic at. Loved the fact that theres also picnic areas around the entire park and not just part of it!
