They are nice and whenever they can open and have shows will be a blessing. they make many people smile, and have cherished memories from years of experiences.

Great beer specials! Wanted something different to do since we were only in town for the weekend and this was pretty neat! Lots of different pinball games! They had a live band you could pay a cover to see but we just wanted to play pinball.

The only place I want to go for a concert!! The venue is small and intimate which is my preference for concert venues. Everyone is typically very friendly, including staff. Very much looking forward to when I can go back for another concert.

Great classic dive bar. Plenty of pinball machines that are free on the first Sunday of every month. Good beer selection as well, lets you bring in food from other places nearby. Great place for concerts as well and they get some really good bands in.

You like playing pin ball and getting drunk at the same time. This is the perfect place! They have an adequate selection of beer and a superb selection of pin ball machines knew and old. Prices of the machines are either ¢50 or ¢75, and guess what. THEY HAVE CUP HOLDERS ON THE SIDE! thats right drink to your hearts content. (if you canget the bartenders attention) that is one thing the bar tender sucked the night I went. I wasnt rude I wasnt uncuth but I was ignored. Like a lot. (I tipped anyway Im not a monster) Seemed worth mentioning. Besides that I loved this place and had a great time.

Cool funky vibe. Pinball machines line the front for a spot of fun. They have quirky t-shirts for sale in quite a wide variety of designs. I attended the Tom Petty Tribute Band (The Insiders) concert which was held in a room in the back. Seating is around the stage/dance area which is fairly large. The drinks are strong, the staff is efficient and the band is phenomenal!

A local gem. Shout out to the woman that books the shows. Very diverse acts. Felt safe. Place is clean. People are friendly. Affordable to have a drink. Lucky to have this place in town.

Fun venue for local bands to perform on stage in a high-energy, intimate, athmosphere.As this is a smaller venue, seating is limited and I would advise the 35+ crowd to arrive early, unless you dont mind standing. Be sure to pay attention to the drink specials to get the best deals.The bar area features over a dozen pinball games for a brief diversion while you are hanging out. While popular with 20-somethings, Ive seen the 50+ crowd attend as well.

Who doesnt love pinball and booze?? This bar is an awesome place to hang out and their concert venue is perfect for discovering new local bands. Not to mention... free pinball on Sundays! A local treasure!

One of my favorite places. Culture is always consistent. Seems to draw a crowd of friendly social misfits. No pretentiousness, just laid back and fun. Bartenders are always prompt, quick, and friendly, even when busy. Always a great selection of craft drafts that seems curated with care. Coolest selection of tshirts that I have ever seen at a bar. Did I mention they have pinball?

The drinks are the best prices in town, great variety! I love the pinball arcade here! The stage room in the back has no complaints either. This is a great location to have a drink relax and share good times with friends. Even came here for a date to play pinball It made a wonderful second date to remember!

Such a fun place. Business in the front and all party in the back. So many pinball machines in the front bar area and a great music venue in the back. I got to see MC Chris for the first time. A very great performance at an amazing venue. I definitely will keep an eye out for future shows here.

Love pinball and Short’s beer? Look no further, you found your spot. Drink specials all day Tuesday are half off Michigan craft beers. This place always has at least 5+ Short’s beers on tap. It’s a show venue too in the back with a solid rotating lineup of bands and artists.

A cool bar in the heart of Grand Rapids with over ten different pinball machines and its own music venue in the back. Also there are some unique posters for sale that bring out this bars style. This is a definite must visit for tourists and locals who want to experience something fun and different instead of your regular run of the mill local bar.

A cool spot to grab some drinks and hang out with friends. There is a concert venue in the back, which I have never been in so I can’t rate, but it looks fun! Their retro-game vibe is very casual and inviting. A wide selection of pinball machines is quite impressive and while I’m not an avid player, it’s still a lot of fun to mess around. Their drink prices are very reasonable! It can be a bit loud and there’s not a huge amount of seating (especially when there’s a more popular concert in back) but it’s a unique spot to visit in Grand Rapids.

Simple performance venue with a really good sound system. The Christon Kingfish Ingram set was phenomenal! Hes a legend in the making.

Without question the best concert venue in town. They constantly book hot and upcoming bands, as well as showcasing the best local talent. $10-$15 a show. Great atmosphere. Stiff drinks, a bunch of Shorts on tap. Some of my most memorable GR nights have included P Scheme.

First time at this venue. I love small clubs and this place did not disappoint! Ill be on the lookout for more shows here for sure.

Pin ball is even better after 3 long islands. Great staff. Great bands. Honestly my favorite place to go in Grand Rapids. They even have yoga!You WILL get accosted by someone wanting money if you step within 100 feet of this place though.

Its a small little venue but you get all of the bang for your buck. I had no issues with staff and things were well lit and labeled. Id come here again.

Best venue for concerts in my opinion (in Grand Rapids). Nothing beats the bar and venue in the back style. Sticky venue floors with a complete bar with a good stage view from anywhere makes any show here an awesome experience!

Great drinking and music venue. The bar out front is a great hangout spot. Plenty of seating, and the pinball machines are a favorite. The music venue in the back was perfect, plenty of standing room. From the posters on the walls, it seems a lot of really great heavy and alternative acts will be stopping by. There is an additional bar and restrooms in the back, and an ATM in the main room. Would definitely stop by here again.

Love this place great place to see a show. They even serve chardonnay out the Bota box here and I saw that bartender take the bag out of the box and squeeze that last little bit into a cup just like my Mom does on a Tuesday afternoon and I felt like I was at home

The Pyramid Scheme is a very unique bar. The vibe is cool and the food is delicious. Their burgers are top notch and the prices are affordable. Highly recommended!

Great small venue, but the acoustic are not great for music. Saw Caroline Rose, and she was fantastic. The bar game room is awesome, bring extra quarters for the multiple pinball machines on hand. They also mix a good drink too settle the nerves pinball wizard

Really cool venue. Was very surprised at the size of it but if youre looking for a smaller venue with great sound to see your favorite band! You can also hang out, play pinball and have a cheap chilly boy before or after.

The Pyramid Scheme is one of the most chill spots in downtown Grand Rapids. Very resonable price on drinks which is something I always like. I love the pinball machines, and the variety of the machines themselves. They do have a music venue area in the back but Ive never been inside that area. I think that they typically get mostly local artists. I like the dim lighting in the main bar area. Definitely will be back for another drink!

One of the coolest music venues Ive been to! And its the only one Ive been to with free water and floors that arent sticky. It can get a little hot in there for a full show though so try to get a spot near a ceiling fan and youll be alright.

Love seeing shows at this venue. Close to home, intimate setting, not a bad spot in the place. If you want to sit for the show I recommend getting there a little early depending on the popularity of the act you are seeing as there is a limited number of tables. Cant forget to mention the pinball machines in the bar(very cool).

The drinks are good and they have quite the selection of pinball machines. Its a fun place to pass some time and the staff is friendly. I have not been to the back area where live music is though, so I cannot speak about that.

The most pinball machines you will find anywhere in the Grand Rapids area! The first Sunday of the month is always free pinball on their machines that are normally 50 cents per game. They do have rotating beer and cider on tap, which changes somewhat about every week or so. One downside is their up front bathrooms dont seem to have any ventilation, so they often feel stuffy and moist. However, they do have many bands in the back room every week, and even host yoga about 3 times a month.

Sound was good in the venue. This is a part of a bar. Drink prices were reasonable. My only complaint was that there was little in the way of seating so you were forced to stand for the whole concert.

Love this place. Try to visit every time i am in town. Good craft beer slection and a ton of fun pinball machines.

This is the coolest bar Ive ever been to. The staff is really polite and welcoming. The pinball league games are a must and they offer a great drink menu. Not to mention their frequently awesome events they hold in the back. I wish I lived closer.

Hands down one of the best music venues in Grand Rapids. I have never had a bad experience here. Its the perfect size venue to see some really cool bands. They always manage to get a good variety of bands and performers. Drinks are cheap as well.

We saw Matt Bellassai here for Laugh Fest in March 2019 and had a GREAT experience! Seating was comfortable, drink selection was great, and the view of the stage was wonderful from pretty much every seat. If you really want to get good seats, Id recommend getting there early, as its general admission. We sat in the raised area along the side wall, and it was awesome to have a table. People were still coming in just a few minutes before showtime and had no trouble getting seats. Overall, fun experience! And if youre a fan of pinball, get there a little early, too -- tons of selections. You wont be disappointed!

Had fun, relaxed atmosphere. Love the pinball machines, tho wish the play fields were cleaned and all maintenance was kept up. Example Addams Family was missing one of the rubber pieces around the top right flipper and the small left flipper was visibly broken. Levels were ignored on many machines, and some needed flipper coils and sleeves changed as they were weak.

First Sunday of the month is free pinball machines (most). It takes you back in time. Background music is good. Drinks are good. Overall, it was a good time in there.

Visiting the area and was trying to see if this bar had pool and was greeted by a machine saying they didn’t take messages but also didn’t give me the option to talk to anyone on duty... wished I could have found out as I love experiencing new places and drink s and was hoping for a game of pool while visiting!

Always love this bar. The atmosphere, the drink selection and prices, and the pinball. What is there not to love about this place.Been to many shows in the back and its great venue.I respect that they were trying to be eco friendly by installing low flush toilets, but I have a feeling that soon, the flush buttons wont work in the female bathrooms. The only button that works on the toilets is the full flush button. I dont think those toilets were made for that kind of traffic.

If you have any interest in pinball whatsoever, this place is for you! They have a bunch of machines, from classics to the newest releases. They even have free pinball Sundays! Its a great place to stop in for a few beers and some pinball, or catch a show!
