This is a 10 acre ecologic urban forest preserve which is also a sculpture garden and a place to meditate or just commune with nature. It is run by a non-profit organization, Instruments of Hope, and is open without fees from dawn to dusk. Stick to the wheelchair accessible paths to avoid the poison ivy, and insect repellent may be useful at some times of the year. The St. Francis sculptures are by the internationally known local sculptor, Mic Carlson.
