First time here. What a beautiful place. Nice beach with sand and a raft. It was chilly, 5:00 pm on September 1st. Saw just a few people jogging, walking.

Absolutely beautiful spot. I hadnt been there for about 60 years! Still beautiful! Lots of great memories!

If only they were as diligent about keeping the park clean as they are about grilling people with COVID questions when they come in.

Pleasant walking and biking path between Hudson River and feeder canal. Path ties with other trails as part of an extensive system in the area. Nice views of the Hudson River.

This is one of our favorite places to visit. The have a couple of grills and a nice beach. We cant wait for them to reopen this summer!

Nice spot for a picnic or to walk around since it also connects to part of the feeder canal bike trail. Also a nice beach!

Really beautiful beach. Theres a playground and the space is really great for picnics and relaxing the whole day. I give it 4 stars because the lifeguards could be a bit more kind. Other than that, its a really great place to be, and its right next to the canal trail which is convenient.

One of the best free beaches to visit. The beach itself is well maintained. Water depth ranges from ankle deep to 8 at the diving dock. Water clarity can change with weather, like any natural body of water, but it is typically pretty clear.Picnic areas and playground have some litter issues. Cigarette butts and some glass occasionally.This is a carry in/carry out park.

First time coming here, went on a day trip with the family,had a real hard time finding somewhere that wasnt packed with people to swim,we finally found this place, I was pleasantly surprised,nice little area to swim

Love this park. Have been swimming here since a very young age myself. This visit was to introduce my 4 y/o granddaughter to my favorite childhood swimming spot. It has been a pleasure to watch the park evolve over the years.

Beautiful location and great place to bring your family especially on a hot summer day. Also a great place to have birthday parties which is what I did for my two-year-old son however being a single Father I was a little disappointed not seeing that there was no changing table facility area. Apparently there is a changing table in the ladies room. Come on guys there are single Fathers out there with babies in diapers please update this!. Thank you and God bless....

Beautiful family beach!

The park was pretty cool place. We went for a birthday party. They have picnic tables a playground a a little beach to go swim in. It was great.

Place was packed, but not enough picnic tables or BBQ grills for my family to enjoy themselves at the beach. We ended up going somewhere else that was less crowded.

Its river swimming...the beach is well cared for, the restrooms are modern, clean. There are rinsing stations to clean sand off your feet etc...Lots of grills and picnic tables...good fun.

I love this park, in the summer it is a great beach to take the kids that we can walk to and they can swim, no charge in the spring and fall there are walking trails along side the river and canal that are well maintained and an easy walk there is even cross country skiing in the winter. A small playground and a baseball diamond round it out well

Free! Woodsy site with trails, picnic tables, grills. Very clean sandy river beach. Public restrooms. Lifeguards. Raft to dive from into ~8 ft deep. Kayaking in river and canal is fun! Love this place!

Great place to go have a cookout and go swimming. The only problem is it close way to early, the beach closes at 6:30pm and the park itself at 7pm

Beautiful and peaceful

It opens at 11 so the many local people can enjoy the quiet park. I walk there almost every day with my dog in the morning there are only a couple people there. When it’s open, I stay away as it is very crowded. After 7 when it closes I like to bring my kayak on a wagon. It’s a great place to see the sun go down.

This is pretty much the Glens Falls Areas Central Park. Its a park built on half of historic Pryuns Island. It has playgrounds and picnic areas as well as a pavilion for larger group gatherings and plenty of parking. And the best part of the park is its beach and swimming area complete with a jumping platform in the water. You can feel safe with a staff of lifeguards that are always on duty

Another relaxing walk along the river. I did my usual clean up (collecting others trash/litter and placing in receptacles provided, over 100 items). Its a beautiful Park. I wish others would be more conscience of their refuse. Enjoy Haviland Cover Park and Betar Byway, please keep it Green.

A gem of a beach on the Hudson River, hidden nestled among inconspicuous residential neighborhoods. Charcoal grills, picnic tables, playground, trails along the canal, diving raft, roped in swim area, indoor bathrooms, water fountains, foot wash and life guard station. A very popular spot, and frequented by ice cream trucks. My husband proposed here.

Safe, clean, fun. They have the 8ft dock for dives. I gave it a 4 because the lifeguards can be moody. No splashing, is just odd 2 me after all it is a lake.

Absolutely horrible experience I took my nieces and their parents for a swim and a cookout! The hours say till 7pm well apparently their was a thunder storm warning okay I get that we had just got finished up with eating so we were no where near the water! I had to run to the store for the kids when I got back at 6pm and my nieces an their parents are literally being kicked out. And some lady is very rudely telling them they need to leave because she has to work, as she sits in her vehicle staring! Like what this place was suppose to be open till 7 so how in the hell but whatever! What really made me angry was her telling us to hurry up, when now we have three young girls to load in my car because I had their car seats With me! On top of this being extremely unprofessional and rude it’s extremely sad to me because I grew up down the road from this place and enjoyed it so much as a kid and now people like that have to ruin it for the younger generations! They won’t let you have arm floaties to help your kids swim better either! Only life jackets that for boating not swimming seriously!!! MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY WILL FIND BETTER PLACES TO GO!

Nice little beach/park. Parking there isnt my favorite. Bathhouse seemed relatively clean, as clean as a beach bathhouse can be I suppose. They have a few playground items. Small slide, a couple swings etc, I wouldnt go soley for the playground but it is a nice plus. A couple of charcoal grills are available, they seem to be on a frist come basis. We were there on a fairly busy Sunday afternoon and I saw 3 lifeguards, one in the water, one on the jumping platform and another in the lifeguard chair. I felt like they had a pretty good eye on everyone, and immediately put a stop to any shenanigans. Water is kind of gross, but its the Hudson so I dont expect it to be pristine. I dont recommend getting it in your eyes though!

Nice place to visit, swimming is good with a lifeguard on duty. Pavilion is nice, with a charcoal grill there.

Great location. Ligeguards are a bit ridiculous at times. One will be in the chair actually watching water and usually between 6-8 other lifeguards will literally be sitting up in the pavilion on break. I do understamd they rotate out to rest there eyes/mind from the chair. But it would be nice to have a few more eyes on the water .

Great little public beach and playground. Theres picnic tables and grills. Theres trails that are perfect for biking, running, and nothing too!

We went for memorial day there were not enough picnic tables, the park was a lot smaller for the children, and to top it all off they close the bathrooms down so nobody could use the restroom and everyone is leaving to go to Hannaford just to pee and wash their hands.

Fantastic, beautiful, safe, quiet, clean and free public park with bbq areas, picnic tables play ground, walking paths and changing rooms this is one of my fave places in Glens Falls.

Local beach. The people that use it are a bit hard, trashy and yokely. That sounds harsh bit it is the truth. Its a cool place to visit off season. Pretty views of the Hudson.

Pretty decent swimming area and a ton of picnic space and grills. Only downside is the bathrooms are usually a mess and the lifeguards can be rude and unpersonable. Ive also found broken glass in the picnic area more than once.
