This specific museum is probably one of our favorite places in the country. You will want to go more than once. It is A LOT to take in for just one visit. I cant write anything that would truly do this place justice. Youll just have to trust me, its amazing!* edit * for me it is so amazing because it is faith based. If you go in with a bible based faith or openess to learn biblical based concepts, then you will want to go back, hands down. From a non faith based or unopen to examine other believes, it still makes a great dinosaur museum. There are a LOT of fossils.

It was painful to attend. I gave two stars only because the staff was kind, pleasant, and all wore masks. While the museum is full of fossils and SOME true information, its laden with falsehoods, suppositions, and outright lies. I thought I knew what I was getting myself into by entering a Creationist museum, but so much has been twisted by misunderstanding and misapplication of science and techniques that I genuinely felt sick by the end. I dont claim to have all the answers, but this is wrong and shouldnt exist. Indoctrination of children with fanciful tales of humans walking with dinosaurs, actually making them think science is lying to them, and falsifying evidence is tantamount to the truest definition of evil. The Bible shouldnt taint history. Having grown up Jewish, it is insulting to see multiple Torahs on display in one of their rooms. Theyre being used, instead of as religious texts/artifacts, as props to solidify the claims made by their curators of a religious group thats sought to stamp out Judaism since its inception. I am actually sick to my stomach that my fee to enter is going to support this place.

Very nicely presented information, really makes me wonder about how we evolved. Some very interesting displays, led to great discussions with our friends. Have scientists got it wrong? Come with an open mind and you will spend enjoyable time here with a wealth of artifacts. You may have more questions than answers when you leave.....

Had I known this was going to be from a religious point of view, I wouldnt have stopped here. I feel like only actual scientific places should be allowed to call themselves museums. The exhibits were ok. The dioramas were nice. I had a huge problem with the information that was presented and I had to do quick corrections for my kids, lest they learn propaganda.Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone that values education. This should be public information before you walk in the door. I wouldnt have promised my son wed stop there if I had know beforehand that it was religious.

I love this museum. The displays are well done, guides are friendly, and they have several interactive components for kids. I got to do a fossil dig in a class through Montana Bible College with the museum founder, Otis Kline, and enjoyed every moment. Its unfortunate some people feel misled by the presentation. This museum teaches a history based on young-earth creationism, as opposed to the ancient-earth materialism many are familiar with. The signs present interpretations of archaeological data from this perspective, and present prominent scientists throughout modern history that were creationists. It does not proselytize, and no one will talk to you about fire and brimstone. You may experience a sensation creationists feel when they visit places like the Museum of the Rockies, and are presented with data and interpretations contrary to their presuppositions, and have to think and evaluate whats true.If you are reading this, hopefully you can go with an open mind, learn about a different worldview, and think about the information presented in a fair and critical way. I dont think materialism has a monopoly on science.

As a former public high school science teacher, I was thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail at each exhibit. Highly recommended for all those with an open mind and interested in natural history. The staff was open and willing to assist. The entire museum was modern and caters to all ages with many miniature diagrams at child level. The scientific factual content was thoughtfully presented. Enjoy your visit.

Stopped for some gas and saw the sign Dinosaur Museum Thought that this would be a great place to visit, and decided to look up the hours and admission costs. Then saw that its a Creationist Museum ugh srsly!!!???Please, dont take your kids here, this is not REAL science! Humans and dinosaurs are NOT found in the same rock layers! They need to stop trying to convince people that this is fact! Its complete rubbish! As a geologist, this just breaks my heart that they are twisting science to fit their belief. Thats not how science works. At the very least, quit trying to trick people into coming in, advertise that youre a Creationist Museum and at least warm them, so they can make an informed decision.

The whole exhibit was devoted to trying to convince people the earth was formed sometime around the turn of the century. Ironically, no one was wearing masks during the Covid-19 pandemic while cases in Montana are on the rise. Next time you get sick, dont turn to science, just pray. Whats next Glendive? The flat‐earth museum??

Good for a laugh or just to spend an hour but the science was pretty bunk and my fairly religious wife was appalled by the exhibit of Native Americans riding Dinosaurs (using action figures and a diorama). The best (and worst) was the Noahs Ark display with dinosaurs. Even a single T-Rex or carnivore would have eaten Noah and his family long before the flood. The biblical approach is definitely as flawed as they tried to make evolution seem.

The whole tie in to creationism really doesn’t bother me as I know what is truth and not truth. I do wish that it was posted out front before I walked in. The exhibits were quality except for the religious propaganda. I’ve passed this so called “museum?!?” several times on trips out west. Was it worth eight dollars? I guess it depends on your views on science and religion. Also, the person behind the desk made a joke in bad taste about the vehicle I was driving and proceeded to have someone follow me around the museum. Way to practice what you learn every Sunday.

Ive passed the museum a few times driving through Glendive MT on the interstate and always wanted to stop & visit. I was really pleasantly surprised by everything. The appearance from the outside would lead you to believe its rather a smaller museum, which couldnt be further from the truth. Its really well organized and the curators onsite are really knowledgeable and very friendly. The museum also has a 2nd floor and is real spacious, roomy and has a lot to offer for children. If you are at any time near Glendive MT its a must see for you & your family.

As others have noted, this is a Young Earth Creationist exhibit, which does a poor job of disclosing their true nature to the public. Obviously, if they openly disclosed this before you enter, very few people would actually visit. I have no problem with religious people or their desire to pursue their beliefs, but its very misleading to portray your exhibit as a Dinosaur and Fossil Museum, when you reject very basic scientific notions put forward by paleontologists.

As other reviewers have noted, this is a religious facility masquerading as a museum. My problem is not the information they want to share. There is a great time and place to talk about things like creationism and the bible. But instead of being honest, they trick into the front door thinking youre going to a museum about dinosaurs -- you arent. This is wholly focused on teaching Christianity and creationism; thats it. This is deceptive, and dishonest, deceptive businesses deserve one star.

They don’t tell you its religious until you’re already in. When I go to a museum I expect to be presented with factual information and not religious theories and personal beliefs. They present everything as if it is 100% the truth which they do not do in scientific museums. Science allows for theories and knowing that we may not know the whole story yet, religion tries to say that it IS the truth without having nearly enough evidence to actually justify it.

There are great dinosaur fossils and exhibits--the best of this kind that i have seen. It is privately, not government funded, and staffed by volunteers. Its refreshing that these folks honestly tell you their museums worldview--creationist--before you buy your tickets. Ive been in a lot of museums that have a materialist worldview, but they never identify that at all. So I dont understand the one star complaints--nobodys sucked into the museum on a pretense.Next, who is fooling who? We are all supposed to believe the dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago and that this is science, when there is a lot of unanswered evidence against that viewpoint.

I wouldnt recommend this place to anybody. It is purely under a religious agenda! Every bulletin states how science is wrong and how the Bible is correct! It was very Bizzare and surreal. It was not fact based whatsoever. And I think its discusting that the majority of people in there were teens so really there teaching the next generation to discredit science and believe the bible. And as the Bible states your going to hell if you dont believe......If you really think about that and the mind of hundreds of teens being exposed to crazy radical biased and non factual beliefs it should alarm you.

The museum is beautiful. Each of the different displays were well maintained. With that said, I asked two very simple questions regarding the specimens on display and both people I asked struggled to even understand what I was asking. I was really disappointed in the lack of basic understanding in regards to general behaviors of prehistoric animals that was absent. At one point the person answering my question needed clarification on what a herbivore and carnivore was. This museum is a push for justification of a cause rather than scientifically based and was an overall disappointment. I learned more from googling my question than asking a staff of the museum. Also the section devoted to religious relics broke my heart. Those “authentic” scripts of the Torah should be given to the Jewish community. This overall presentation made me really really sad. It was full of kind people without any knowledge to communicate with those with many questions. Also, the model of Noah’s ark had significant scale issues with the dinosaurs and people. There was very minimal explanation of the proposed creation/new earth theory that was presented here. A lot of the answers were proposed in the form of a question vs actually answering the question. The entire time I felt judged and surrounded by people who had little to no paleontological insight. So to sum it up: beautiful building and displays insanely surfacy information. This place has potential to be great but it is not.
