Great little bowling alley. Prices were average for the area. Bowling alley was clean and had the 80s nostalgic feeling.Parking was a little strange, apparently it shares a lot with the neighboring police court.

This weekend we went to both the Cliff house bistro and to the bowling center. The bowling center was hands down the better of the two. Better service, an equally nice view, an excellent burger and for half the price. I highly recommend it.

Good bowling, good beer, good music. What more could you want in your neighborhood bowling alley? My only regret was that we had already made dinner reservations somewhere else. Next time, well stay for the meal as well!

This was our familys first time here and we had a blast. They have 25 lanes an arcade pool tables a bar&grill restaurant,what more can you ask for. Now we didnt eat we only had a few drinks but let me tell you the food did look and smell good lol. The restroom where clean and they had a diaper changing station. The service was nice and friendly. I noticed they have specials on different days which is always good. I think my girls will definitely be wanting to come back. The packing is a bit on the small side only down fall.

Easily the best selection of beer I have ever seen at a bowling alley. The food however is suspect so eat at your own risk...

We had a corporate event there, and everyone I dealt with was very friendly and helpful. The scoring machines are fun, and show little animations with your face on them. Planning it all was very easy.

Small, intimate space - nice and clean. The animations on the scoreboard are entertaining, given that you can add your photos to the characters faces. Food is pretty good too. :)

4 stars for bowling alley cheesiness- lots of room for a party, (call because they seem to book up) DDR, greazy food menu, huge beer selection, and amazing location. Little guard rails on the lanes for little kids- man, the balls were flying everywhere!

I went here on Valentines Day, and it was a great date. Since then, Ive been back twice for friend gatherings to bowl and shoot pool. Busy but never too crowded. You can get a lane without a reservation. Its a chill night out without a lot of fuss.

The Jewel City Bowl is now a cool spot to go to for all ages: Bowling, large TV screens, full bar, food, space for parties (up to 30 people for a sit down), arcade games and the best views ever!!

For the bowling pin shaped beers alone. What can I say? Im easy to please. Of course, its also all about location, location, location and the Presidio is GOR-GE-OUS.

We go here for fun and also for birthday parties. We were happily surprised by the lighting effects when we went for a party in January. Made it more fun. Have also used the pro shop to have holes drilled in our balls, he did an excellent job. He recommended we not put holes in our daughters ball yet (shes 6) and we appreciated that. We like how you can pay by number of games or number of hours for regular play. We wish we could play by number of games when we reserve lanes too though. The food is also really good.

Always a great time here. Pro shop is great and well stocked. Would definitely recommend calling ahead to see if there are lanes because they have a lot of league and private events.

Jewel City Bowl quickly became my favorite place to hang out at. The staff are beyond nice and the food (wings, quesadilla, regular fries and garlic fries) is delicious!!! If youre easy going and know that there might be a wait or that sometimes things just happen, youll enjoy this place ️

About four weeks ago my girlfriend took me here. Loved every minute of it. Staff was professional and quick to help. Never been bowling. I got crushed but had a blast. The arcade is real fun too. The basketball machine ate my tokens but staff corrected it asap. Cant wait to go back!

A fun place for sure. Its usually very easy to get a lane for open bowling. You can pay by paying for one hour or pay by game. I also liked that their prices are listed on their website. If you dont have your own bowling shoes you cant re t theirs at $4. Lots of parking in their own parking lot. Customer service each time I have been their has been excellent and this business is very clean

Made a reservation to bowl here. Person at the front desk was nice, but took her time acknowledging us standing at the counter. We were charged $40 an hour because we reserved a lane. Found out if you dont reserve a lane, its only $30 an hour. Bit of slow service to order food at the lane, but it was good when it arrived. They dont allow any outside food or drink. All in all, we did have a good time.

This is my local bowling alley. Super fond of it. My lady and I periodically come in here to play a Jurassic Park video game. We load up on tokens and we finish that game from start to finish. Theres a bunch of pretty squeaky clean teenagers knocking down pins relentlessly and throwing gutter balls with abandon to loud tunes. Its family friendly, and affordable. Good times, good vibes.

My husband and I have been coming to this place since the reopening and theyre bowling service is great. The bar used to be pleasant. However, last couple of times we went they now have this lady with black hair and shes kinda rude . Her style seems like she is used to dive bar style and rythm. It makes one wonder if shes so agressive because she maybe used to work at a bikers bar and she had to be on the standoffish side. Who knows. Just my impression. She doesnt seem to be used to dealing with people and ordering food. Customers seemed afraid to approach her because of her attitude and demeanor. The guys seemed more approachable and friendly; from a customer service point of view. She never approached any customer with a smile. And we sat there for a while. She didnt look happy to work there ️.P.S. she looked more like someone who was doing community service and not getting paid to do the job

The food here is not the best but the bowling is great I somewhat recommend it for birthdays but you should bring your own food. The only amazing thing is the bowling. The arcade isnt the best either.

Fantastic place! Didnt get a chance to bowl because it was booked but they gave me and my friends some free games for the inconvenience! We had some drinks, watched baseball and shot some pool so it was a good time.

First impressions matter. When we arrived, we were greeted very poorly and unprofessionally. In fact, we werent even acknowledged. It wasnt until I offered to take my business elsewhere that this girl blurted out we have a lane. Fortunately, both manager and owner were on site. After explaining what happened, not only did they apologize but went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful experience. Kudos to management for caring about their customers. I will definitely return!

This place has gone downhill quick. I used to come every Monday for the $10 all night bowling but for some reason their management has decided to make up rules and say that their is a two hour limit, when their website and Instagram advertise “unlimited”. Wouldn’t mind the 2 hour limit if it wasn’t for the douche manager guy. Do yourself a favor and go to matador bowl in northridge instead they have a better deal on Mondays anyways. I tried calling their corporate but couldn’t find any number on their website, oh well. Update: gave them a second chance still let me down, 2 stars changed to one

Keep in mind that they advertise UNLIMITED bowling from 9-12pm on Monday (keyword is UNLIMITED)Apparently that means there is a 2 hour limit for unlimited bowling, I get there with a group of friends and at 10:45 we get a 15 minute warning saying our game will end.I did not know UNLIMITED bowling meant you could only bowl for 2 hours, thy should honor their specials they advertise

Very rude staff towards my family and me!! The hostess was rude and very uneducated!! If only she knew that a good attitude would attract a better crowd. What can you expect from uneducated people now;guess thats how Jewel City bowl is. If she could have been nonchalant and understanding, I would get it.She was very rude. Chopping us down was very unexpected. If Im a good paying customer, I deserve their trustworthiness and respect. In no way shape or form did I make any rude remarks or say anything.

DJ/Music was too loud, pizza is the worst Ive ever had in my life. The wings are good though. Fun times overall but bring ear plugs.

Chix wings were tasty and crunchy. My gf bowled into the pin rack gate twice but the staff didnt yell at us so thanks for that. I know I couldnt keep my head cool with all that chaos.

You could literally go here and not bowl, like they have pool tables, drinks, and a mini arcade thats fun to work with too.Bowling itself is a fun experience and a Great group activity if you got people. They have all the equipment youll need. (Pro tip, go at 10 or later to get all the cool music and lights)

I have been to all of the bowling alleys from Studio City, Burbank, to Glendale, and Jewel City Bowl is without a doubt the piece of gold in the haystack. I love this place. The customer service is excellent. The bowling lanes are fantastic, the parking is good. Jewel City Bowl was clean. They serve food and there is also an archade area for the kids. I took three 11 year olds to this bowling place and they loved it as well. We will be back for sure.

I wanted to love this alley, their lanes are well kept seems like all the times I have been here, the lanes have had a good amount of oil on them so I have been able to use my good balls, and their pro shop is good too, but one of their employees is just rude and 8 think he was the manager which is such a shame. He was just so mono tone and does not know how to speak to people, i wont be coming back I did not feel welcomed.

Had a blast!!! Went there Thursday night with a group of 10+, rented 2 lanes, got drinks, food, etc. we all had a great time!! They had a DJ there who made the night even more fun, the manager was really cool I believe his name was King, he was king of the lanes. They do giveaways and competitions on Thursday nights so we got involved, challenged the DJ and the manager and some other workers, won some free games and vegas hotel vouchers. Highly recommend this place, only thing I would suggest is calling them to find out if they have a tournament or something going on before going, otherwise if they do you wont be able to play until they are done. King!!! Im taking you to Vegas with me man, youre coming!

There is parking adjacent but also paid parking nearby. The space is big and bowling is pretty inexpensive. Alot of groups visit. I have seen alot of school groups here and young children parties. The appetizers are good. Thiss not that expensive.

Prices have increased in 2019. Added a service charge for parties plus you have to tip as well. Mediocre at best though little competition so they can get away with it.Actually used to be a nice place.

Its a good place to come with friends and family or bowl league, but they are significantly short staffed and service suffers because of it. Management needs to do a better job to assist staff with clients to make the experience more satisfactory.

The lanes are decent, they always have a good amount of oil on them, but the staff here is just plain bad. They are not very welcoming and they always try to charge you the regular price instead of the special if they are having one. Their bar food is actually good but their drink menu is a little limited.There is better bowling alleys in the area, don’t think I’ll be coming back

Been a while since Ive been here. The price gave seem to gone up a bit but that is no biggie. This place is still one of my favorite because I started out bowling here.

The bowling cost is a bit expensive, though pool is quite reasonable. This is a popular place. The bowling computer interface is quite dated, but functional if you learn how to use it

Jewel City Bowl is just another bowling alley. There is limited parking until after 5 pm. The facility has a bar which is a bonus.

After visiting the area, my girlfriend and I had an itch for bowling, googled, found JC. $40/hr is ok, we average 4 games an hour anywhere else...but not here. The machines are so slow, I can go drop a deuce and make it back in time for my shot. The 15 min warning popped up during our 2nd game. Yes, there were kids running around, holding us up, kids will be kids but...Shouldnt the time start when the first ball is rolled and NOT at the counter ? The 2nd star if for the free games an employee was handing out at the arcade. My itch remained as we exitted :(

BAD customer service. Came back within 5 minutes, but got taken off the list. would not recommend

We have had fun there, but the last couple times we made reservations and still had to wait 2 hours (we ended up leaving while the rest of our group stayed) because we had kids and it was late. 3 lanes were empty while we sat there because another group had not shown up for their reservation! Needless to say we were not happy at all.

We had a small group on Saturday afternoon, one of their busiest time, but we NEVER felt ignored.The one thing we would do differently is to place the food order as soon as we get there, prior to the lane reserve time.For a birthday party, I would recommend to 1) reserve your lanes online two weeks prior, 2) ask your guests to arrive 15 min prior to get shoes and drinks 3) estimate how much food you need to order beforehand. Their website is solid, so I knew what to order for my group from the menu.We have been to many bowling alleys before (how nerdy ...) but I must say their staff was the most helpful and attentive.Support independent old school business! And surround yourselves with happy people.

Very well taken care of bowling alley! Went on a Saturday night and was able to walk in and play! The lanes are well oiled and the atmosphere is very inviting.

Always fun! Not as busy as I expected for a Saturday morning. We did have some problems with the lane not returning balls but they switched us to another lane and added extra time to make up for it!

Awesome ambiance, delicious food, decent crowds, affordable fun all around. Of course the bar is expensive, but worth the expensive for a good wholesome night out with friends and family. Not bad for solo novice bowlers out for practice or pro type ace shooters developing new styles to gain more strikes. Definitely bring your families!
