Great spot, open area with a good amount of picnic tables but they are spaced apart so you are not on top of the people around you. Its next to the 101 so not the quietest spot but not overly loud either.

Very nice and quiet neighborhood park. My Toddler loved watching the horses go by and the professionals working with the horses were very kind and allowed my toddler to pet the horses. Only thing is that a lot of dogs are walked off leash so be aware if you bring a dog that is a little iffy. My dog only wanted to play!

This area got its name from the famous movie star with the bulging beautiful eyes who’s love of horses had her living at the large brick home at the western most side. On the eastern side of Victory Blvd, is called Pump 7 due to the capped well that is boarded up inside the wooden shack.

This is a lovely park for dog walking and taking a breather. The grass is always green and well kept, and there are lots of shade trees. It is in a narrow strip off a main road, and right next to the LA River. You can walk right over to the river and take a walk down there as well. Even when it is very hot out, somehow this park always has a cool breeze. Last winter when we had a lot of rain, the river filled and a whole family of egrets moved in and took over the park. You can also get a nice view of the sunset looking west from the park. The restroom is always clean and there are rarely any bums/homeless people there. This is a little urban treasure in the middle of the city.

Good place for rest. Very green, not too quiet, but if you live in LA county- it really very green place. Good place for your pets. You can spend the time with your family (friends) but this picnic area doesnt have a lot of tables... You should have yours own cover or table and chairs

Bettie Davis picnic Area is located in Glendale which used to be known as one of the sundown cities in Los Angeles county in the early 60s and 70s. I lived on Paula ave for nearly 5 years and saw a number of people aka weekend warriors, pot smokers and/or meth monks hung up by local Glendale cops. Bettie Davis park has a very decieving appeal it only looks like a great place to chillaxe, until the cop lights blind you and your strung up. Think twice about the Bettie Davis Park if you are not a clean cut family type. God bless all and protect all! Take care and be well.

A Must Do for Bette Davis fans! This beautiful park, where Bette once leisured, is a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle of Ventura Freeway.Straddled along the Los Angeles River and North of Griffith park, this park holds the tranquil beauty of green grass lawn and lowly, bent trees with stunning white trunks. The park was given in name of the Hollywood legend, Bette Davis, whom formerly resided at the West end of the park @ 1705 Rancho Ave.I visited her park in April 2014, the 1st stop of my personal All Things Bette Davis tour.A most lovely park.
