This place was really fun, we rented are own movie theater and we got the place all to are selves it was so fun! I would HIGHLY recommend this place.

I’m huge Christmas Vacation fan so when I saw that it was showing as a movie party at the draft house I was soooooo excited. It was my first time attending a “movie party” so I wasn’t sure what the expect. We picked our seats like any normal movie but when we got there we were greeted with different props to use during the movies. Before the show we did some trivia and we talked about when to use the props and everyone in costume came down to the front. It made a real sense of community. During the movie it was awesome. We were able to say the best of the best one liners and use the props accordingly. It was way more fun and it made it a unique experience. As for the food and service! Wow! It was awesome. Food delivered to your seats, ordering at any time during the movie, and great food! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Will definitely be back!

Nice theater with food and alcohol its a shame that covid has been preventing a lot of business to this place and others like it.

This was my first time going to an Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. No one asked or explained how it all works. I suggest looking up how it works online or asking them at the front counter as you pay for your ticket. We kind of had it explained after ordering drinks though.The theater was mostly empty, and they require buffer seats in between parties. The prices are on the reasonable to pricy end, but the food was good! I had the fish & chips and shared the pretzel. There was a little wait for the food, which I appreciate because I know it is made to order. The fish & fries were hot, crispy, and fresh. They were serves w/ tatar sauce, ketchup, & malt vinegar. The pretzel was warm and soft. It went well with the cheese sauce and course grain honey mustard.Overall, a great experience. I would certainly recommend it.

Good cinema unfortunately electricity went out

The premise of the theater is cool, but I found the movie to be way to loud to the point of giving me a headache and I have a 1,000 watt dual sub home theater at home.The theater room was freezing cold, and the rules are very draconian about not being able to look at your phone, even in dark mode or they kick you out right then and there.I am a parent of a special needs child, and If the sitter texts me I will check my phone, and if necessary step out into the hall.Turn down the volume, raise the temperature up a few degrees, and treat us like adults and I would raise this to 4 or 5 stars.

Awesome experience watching the movie. Just was not happy when I couldnt bring in my own water bottle. I had to ask the man at the bar for a cup of water for both me and my plus one.

Alamo Drafthouse chain still my much-preferred movie-going destination, but the food and beverage service has declined tremendously at the Chandler and Gilbert locations (Tempe, you still rock!). Consistently chasing down staff when nobody appears after my arrivals, annoying not only for its unprofessionalism, but also because it removes me from the beloved pre-show experience. Last night at the Halloween (1978) screening in Gilbert, even had to go out twice before the movie started since Derrick neglected to include my drink order either time, initial order or reminder. Took forever with my drink refill request, too, and never any apologies offered, either. I could be forgiving if the rows were filled even a little more, but not like the theaters are currently busy with people (sad for other reasons, but I digress).Please hope management and staff shape things up quickly. Since my first visit in summer 2017, done nothing but sing glowing praises of the Alamo Drafthouse experience, and truly hate having to offer constructive feedback.

Enjoyed watching Ghostbusters a classic movie. Place was really clean and plenty of social distance.

Awesome, I have been waiting for this location to open for ever. This place really delivers on the upscaled movie going experience. Great food and a very relaxed movie experience. Best part is they work hard to be attentive with out interrupt the movie. Great date place for a dinner and a show! Theater has spacious seat and reclining arm chairs. Still has that new theater smell.

Hands down the best theater in the valley. They have amazing food and service, comfortable seats and cool events to attend.

If you love beer, spirits, wine mixed in with some great tasting food and an add-on of a great movie to watch then this place is for you! Im a huge movie goer and love food paired with a pint of great beer. The movie theater is not big but also not small, just the right size for enough people to get served whatever it is they ordered and enjoy the movie. If you have ever been to a Dolby Cinema then this place is for you too. The sound of these Cinemas is amazing, a little loud at times but good.Now for the food, they have a great sounding selection and they can back it up too. I ordered a Hatch green Chili burger with fries and it was delicious paired with a cold brew of Hefeweizen.I wish I could have posted a picture but it wouldnt have been a great idea taking a picture with the flash on during a movie. The service was great too and the server we had was awesome with everyone there and she did a great and fast enough job. This place is great for Date Nights and it is family friendly too. I really, really recommend this Cinema for any movie or food lover!

Everything was spot on and clean per the guidelines for Covid. The people were great and the food was good.

I’ve been 3 times now and love it. After reading some of the other reviews, I thought it might be helpful to mention that when you order your food or drinks in the theater, stand your written order in the rail at the front edge of your table so your server can see it. Same goes for refills. The servers watch from the doorway, looking for those slips of paper. They’re not going to interrupt your movie to ask if you need something else, but they will come running if they see that paper. Just make sure it’s standing where they can see it.If you’d like water that tastes better than what you can get from inside the theater, order it from the bar. It really is better out there As for the tipping issue someone mentioned, they don’t automatically add a gratuity. There are suggested amounts at the bottom of your receipt, calculated on the full price of your order. If you had something comped or discounted, the suggested amounts are based on full price. But regardless of what it says on the receipt, they’re just suggested amounts. You must fill in the tip yourself.The managers I’ve met there have been very nice and were eager to answer any questions or handle any complaints, so I would suggest asking questions when you need to and offering feedback before you leave. It’s a brand new facility with a lot of brand new staff and, in my experience, they’re trying to get it right. Give them a thumbs up if they do and maybe offer feedback nicely if something isn’t right.

The anticipation had been building as neighbors have watched the Gilbert location for Alamo Drafthouse being built. Im pleased to say its meet expectations. While its only in its first weeks, the food, service and amenities are excellent. I was pleasantly surprised to find nice reclining chairs, which is a step up from the other locations Ive visited. The local brews and high quality food top off the experience. Ill be coming here often.

We just seen the Last Star Wars movie at this new Gilbert location. This will be our new Theater to go to we loved it. Didnt order any food but its easy if you put the paper in the slot so the server can see it the menus are under the table easy to grab it. The seats were the most comfortable recliner seats of any theater we ever been to. Its clean, new and the staff were very nice. Also the seating layout is much better than other similar theaters.

Theater itself is nice. Comfy seats and the overall idea is great. The staff needs a lot more training though. We asked for a refill on our drink at least twice and never got it. Had the flag up for an hour as well. It also took almost 40 minutes to get our food. Didnt even take it off of the bill for us, just offered us a kids cup to gi. Overall, disappointed. But knowing that its still pretty new we will likely give it another chance at some point. But not for a while...

This was my first visit to an Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. My son, his fiancee, my wife and I really enjoyed the concept. Reclining seats are a big plus. Matinee prices are pretty fair. My son likes the draft brew options and the food choices arent bad. Making reservations for seating is really easy via smartphone. I am sure we will be coming back in future.

We have now been to all the Alamo locations in the Phoenix area. We love what Alamo is all about and drove an hour to go to this location to show support for their opening. Alamo has great service, good food and the best movie experience. NO TALKING OR BEING ON YOUR PHONE DURING THE MOVIE! This is why we keep going back. Thank you, Alamo for opening your 3rd location in the Phoenix area!

Best sound I have ever experienced at a movie theater. The picture quality is amazing. Great service. I usually hate going to the movies but Alamo changes that. Its not cheap however.

The set up here is drafty for those that want to sit at the bar and have a drink before they go in. The waiter that served us in the theater had no knowledge of the alcoholic beverages. Just because you are not a drinker does not mean you should not know what your menu has. Shiner beer has been a staple at every Alamo except this one. As an Alamo frequent flier, I am disappointed. Not all of the stalls in the womens restroom has a coat hook. Aside from all that, the food was amazing. The options of food and drink for the new Star Wars movie was on point. The re-showing of movies with the games is always fun. And the staff was still very personable and polite.

Best service at the movies ever. A little pricey but worth the experience. They play themed deep dive clips instead of ads before the film. The food is excellent for something served in a theater.

Our waitress was bubbly, very nice and quick. Popcorn not that great compared to a regular movie theater, but the nachos and queso were delicious. Granted there were less than 10 people in the theater, but service was excellent. Love their policies about no phones, no talking, no kids. This is a theater for responsible adults. Will be back.

Had the royal, good flavor! Free refills on sodas and popcorn. Popcorn had a good flavor, yummy. Seats were comfortable. Only bad thing I can say is where your table is. Good movie dinner night all in one!

Beautiful theater with a very friendly staff. Parking is easy and convenient. It seems a little odd when you walk into the lobby, because it is not a typical theater look, but it is easy to navigate! Buy your tickets online, and walk right into your theater. Super easy to order and receive food and drinks.This was a very fun family experience!

It was a super fun night! Everyone we interacted with was pleasant, the bar keep was awesome the waitress in the theater was timely and fun. The only down side was it was a bit more expensive than i expected. Totally worth it though in my opinion.

Great theater experience! Everything was great. Chairs very comfy, and recline. Many draft drinks from many local breweries. Had a great cookie milkshake. Lets talk about the burger I had... idk what they did but this was probably the best burger Ive had in 2019, at least. My wife had the same burger and I confessed that Ive thought about it a couple times since we had it. She too was surprised how good it was. The theater is decorated with a lot of cool older posters, gives it a nice touch. Great date night 10/10 will recommend to all. Try the burger!(Royal with cheese)

Beer selection is vast and the food is great. The theater is also very clean when we have gone. They also offer other things for sensory sensitivity, which is so great ! Reccomend this theater over and over! And theyre staff is friendly and helpful!

Excellent food and drinks plus very comfy seats. You can order during the movie and they bring it to you. They have a full bar right when you walk in so you can have a drink while you wait for your movie. There is a great no texting, talking or arriving late policy. Most of the show times do not allow children.

Would have love to visit the theater however they dont allow 3 year olds in after 6 even if it is a childs movie. I asked why they said because most of their bar service is after 6pm. But mind you your 6 year old is welcome after 6. How does that make since? I understand if it were a adult movie. But a 3 year old vs a 6 year old is not much difference.

Enjoy everything about Alamo except the audio volume. I have been 8-10 times and every time it’s simply too loud. It it especially noticeable when action movies are being played. It’s not just the volume but also the quality of the audio. It’s enough of a deterrent for me to choose Harkins.

Theatre is nice. Sound system was very good. Service was lacking. We ordered one original order and no server never came back to ask if we wanted refills or anything else. Food was just average and over priced. Service was terrible.....

So we really wanted to love this place since it was so close to our home! But both times we have been disappointed:((Only positive we found was Food is good, however Chairs don’t recline much at all and Movie previews are just strange....they just really distract from the upcoming movie!

After going here a couple of times I had to update my review. The noise level of all of the movies shown here is just too high. It leaves my ears sore the rest of the day which is the main reason I will be avoiding this theatre in the future. If they could just lower the volume a little I would be happy to keep on coming as the rest of the experience is fantastic and very enjoyable, but sadly the volume level ruins the rest of the experience for me.

Best movie experience I’ve had! The lady who brought us our drinks did a phenomenal job and brought us everything that we asked for. Definitely make sure to get the chocolate chip cookie milkshake and the fried pickles were really good too!

The seats are comfortable and the staff was very nice. you order food and drinks from your seat and they bring it right v to you. It was a great experience!

My wife and I have been to both other locations and the new one here in Gilbert does not disappoint. Great food, good service. Will definently be coming back soon

This place was good. Movie theater was clean and food was great. Bathrooms were dirty and not stocked unfortunately.

Overall, not very good experience. My meal was messed up twice and the water tasted like tap. The way they can improve is by using a better ordering system that is less confusing and have individual tables. I would give one star, but it was a training day.

The food was good, but the service was not that great. Brought us the wrong food, then were not going to make it right until we agreed to pay for the replacement food. This is a new theater so I will give them one more chance.

Its a little pricey, but you can go on a decent budget. I saw The Phantom of the Opera as my first time going to the Alamo Drafthouse theater. It was fun! The employees were friendly.

Comfortable seats, not a bad seat in the place ,good food, strong drinks . I had a gr8 time. Average ticket pricing however the food is a bit pricey. With food prices like that the tickets should be a couple dollars cheaper. Tickets for 2 with 2 alcoholic drinks , one entree each came to $76 including a modest tip.

Just checked this place out last night, and Im very excited to have an Alamo in Gilbert. Alamo is always an awesome place to to for everything from whats playing now to those times when you need a B movie fix. Great food and my personal favorites the shakes (with and without booze) While there are a few Alamo drafthouses in Arizona this one is made more awesome because they have reclining seats!

It was an ok experience. I understand they are just opening, but I kind of expected more. Food took almost 40 minutes to come to us and there was a smattering of chips with the queso (Had to ask for more). The food was tasty though, and the fries were good. Getting any attention for refills took about 5 to 10 minutes. I will go back, but they need to get their work flow down to provide a little better customer service.

Very convenient with adult beverages and food available. Food was okay but not great. Great way to watch a movie however!!!

Its new and still has some training issues and kinks, but it has potential for greatness! The facility is well designed, including reclining seats, which the other Alamos in the area do not have. At first glance, parking may be an issue on busier days. We will go back.

I usually love going to the movie parties here but this time it was not as fun. The food was cold, they charged me for adult portions when I asked for kids menu items. They were out of every candy item I tried to order except M&M’s. It took forever to get service to us. We had to sit and wait after the movie was over to get my CC back.This one is close to my house but if I choose to go back, I’ll probably stick with the Chandler location.

Movie and drinks were great, but the food is mediocre and incredibly expensive. The $14 pepperoni pizza (10 inch thin crust) is comparable to a 3 dollar frozen pizza from the supermarket. Go here for drinks but ignore the extremely overpriced food.

Tonight makes two weeks in a row of coming to enjoy this top notch facility. It’s clean, great service, friendly staff, and very comfortable reclining seats with good food served at your seat! Thanks for bringing more life to Gilbert/Queen Creek!

An amazing place to go to the movies! Its Its difficulty to have time to go to dinner or the movies but Alamo makes it easy and convenient since you can eat in the theater.

Nice, clean new theater. Cool bar area. Great movie. HORRIBLE, quite possibly the worst service we have ever experienced. Had to ask for straws. Had to ask for silverware. Had to ask for condiments. Food was meh. Overpriced and not hot. Server mentions bottomless drinks and popcorn- riiiiight. The server never came back after serving the food. There was less than 10 people in the audience. Come on guys.Ill take theaters I wont visit again for $500 Alex

It smells like front loops in here, not a bad thing but that’s what I remember most ha ha ! It is nice to be able to sit back and order from your seat. Highly recommended

This is pretty shady... 15% of $48 is NOT $11. Thats about 25% tip. This is a deplorable practice to get better tips. You should be ashamed.

Me and my family had quite the experience. We arrived early and ordered food quite quickly. We were disappointed when they didnt bring any food until we complained. On top of that, the price of the food, even for children was rediculous. The childrens pizza was 6.50 and was the same size as a single slice of pizza from Little Caesars. There were no included sides either, and the kids drink on me menu is half the size it claims to be. Absolutely disappointed our entire family. We will not be returning.

Seats were nice and service stunk. Before the start of the movie, didnt even get drinks until after 30 min into the show. Did for two burgers find come until closer to the 50 min mark. Others around me were waited on before me and arrived after. My husband and other kids day in a different location and was given no fork to eat French toast and bottled water without ordering it.

Only had popcorn and lemonade but both were very good. Prices on food are very expensive though and while Im usually cold anyway, with 2 layers on, I was still cold.

Alamo provides the best movie going experience on the country. Their unique attitude towards their customer keeps loyal customers coming back and undesirable ones out.

Its a pretty cool place, the set up is unique with every two seats having an elevated narrow table between them for your food and drinks. We decided to go all out and see a movie and eat dinner. You order when you first sit down and if you get there early enough youll get your food before the movie starts. The prices for food are semi-resonable, just expect to pay like your going to a sitdown restaurant. Example: Soda $5.50 w/free refills. I had the BBQ chicken pizza which was very tasty and my wife had the burger and fries, she also said it was good, just a bit small for the price. We were also not 100% satisfied with their claim of put what you need on the paper and like a ninja your server will get your request and bring it to you as humanly as possible seemed to take a while for anyone to come by and we never did receive the straws we asked for, but other than that the dining experience was fine. The theater itself has very comfy lazyboy style seats with motorized foot rests. And the screen and sound quality was in par with what youd expect at a theater. This is not a place we would come to often, but definitely a fun and different experience for date nights.

Great concept and the movie was fine. They need to fix their ordering system, I waited for over an hour for my order to get picked up, the movie was almost over by the time I got my beer.

Comfortable reclining seats w/ Tables in 8 theatres, good food & drinks, Bar in the Lobby with nice selection and the latest movie releases. Wait staff was very good about not blocking our view. Well worth the price.

Great experience. The only issue was Hatch green chili being advertised on the menu with the chicken tenders, after asking 3 times and the servers just saying let me check on it and never getting it, thats why 4 Stars.
