The train takes a nice leisurely, and safe ride around the 3/4 mile track of Freestone Park. There are also 3 childrens rides, and a snack bar/ticket window. I am one of the train engineers and just love the park and rides.

They have a few cute attractions for small kids. Unfortunately, the train was down while we were there. My 2.5 year old had a good time with the other 3 rides. The rides definitely look a little warn down but they seemed to function fine. Its a little pricey and fairly small but it is located in a huge park with lots of things to do. Its a good way to maybe occupy a little one for an hour or two if youre lucky.

Very friendly staff. They were mostly teenagers but they had a smile on their face the entire time. Gave us longer rides on the merry-go-round since no one was waiting. Will definitely be back.

My boys had a good time here once the rides opened up. But for small children it could be better theres a lot of areas with open water without rails or barrier of some sort. Plus the playground area was not properly shaded so everything was super hot therefore my children could not play

We have visited this local attraction for years. Youll find a miniature railway for train rides. Along with a Ferris Wheel, carousel and merry-go-round style amusement ride. My son has found it enjoyable since he was a toddler. I continue to enjoy the relatively affordable and effortless opportunity for outdoor recreation Freestone provides.

Love this beautiful park. So much to do. We always visit when in town with the gkids.

One of the great railroad parks in #Gilbert #Arizona ..love that the kids can perform any activity outside along with some little things like rides and feeding the ducks. It really makes a difference for families and family time.

The Freestone Railroad is great, if your definition of great means closing earlier than posted because no one was here during the day... of course, I had been telling my child well go to the train park for a whole day and a half.When they actually are open and running, its a bit pricey for the ride in my opinion, but my kid thinks its tremendous.All in all, I give this 3 stars.

Took the kids here for a few hours and while they had fun there was a lot to be said of the rides. The carousel is old and the panels seem to be held on by tape not to mention that it was spinning way to fast. The wave runner is also old and seems to be falling apart, the best ride would have to be the train ride which is about a 10 min ride around the park, it was very relaxing and the kids enjoyed it.

Fantastic place to take small kids! I live less than a mile away from Freestone Park, where this railroad is at, and they also have a small carnival that is open every weekend and throughout specific holiday weeks throughout the year, the small carnival rides are geared towards two and three and four year olds, but the train can be enjoyed by everybody! Me and my three-year-old daughter enjoy the train so much that we bought a season pass, and if theyre still honoring the promotion that we got in on, one adult rides free every time the child uses their pass, so its like a two-for-one deal! The next nearest train equivalent to this attraction is all the way out at Scottsdales Railroad Park, so this is a hidden gem in the heart of Gilbert!

This is a really great place for the family and really good fishing spot specially catfish!!

Always have a blast with the boys here. If you want to ride the train it is 4.50$ per person. Theres a lot of other fun stuff to see here too

Fun and big park but rides are overpriced and wayyyy too old to even function properly. They recently did a reno to the park side so may need to really look into getting a new train and rides

Nice park, but the amusement park is suffering. Lack of staff and some of the rides were not available.

Train is a huge hit with my kids. Check the hours on the website, if the train/park area is closed its just a regular city park.
