Update: We just tried out paradox escape room again and our experience was 100% completely different! Our game master was amazing, knowledgeable and very attentive to the game! We are so happy with our experience and we are beyond grateful that Paradox reached out to us to make it right! We will for sure be back! Thank you Paradox :)I don’t usually leave reviews but we just want others to know our experience. :( My husband and I just finished the casino heist room. We pretty discouraged with our experience at paradox. The room was good enough itself but was reset incorrectly(confirmed by the game master after we had finished, the locks were reset on the wrong drawers.) we asked Twice for clues throughout the game and twice we were given clues to things that we had already solved. It took the game master a few minutes to figure out where we were and give a new clue. We didn’t fully complete the room and when the game master came in to explain it she had no idea what was going on. Even after we explained where we were at in the room she still didn’t know where to start explain the game to us. It just seemed like she didn’t really know the game or how to help us solve it. Maybe it was just an off night but we were disappointed :(

They will allow singles to join a room that isnt full. The Collector was an interesting room. With the help of our game master we made it out. The last clue was incorrect due to an error when setting up the room, but we got through that. You are allowed 3 clues, when you ask for clues youre docked time. 1 minute for the 1st clue, 3 minutes for the 2nd clue and 5 minutes for the last clue.

Tonight was my first time ever experiencing an escape room. I wasnt sure what to expect but I knew I would like it. And I did!! It was so much fun!!! So fun that we went for a second round. Shout out to Jenny for being a great overlord!!! Thanks for making it a good first experience for us.

This was my first time doing an escape room and it was actually so much fun!! The game master that was proctering us was very helpful and I would definitely do this again! I reccomend this to anyone who likes puzzles :)

Nice place and staff. We felt the challenge was appropriate for our level. We did not request any clues, but got nudges on some things. The decorations were cool. Unlike other rooms, they subtract time if you ask for clues, which I kind of liked it forces you to struggle a bit which makes the win sweeter.

Amazing staff! I accidentally booked the wrong date, but they were super understanding and allowed my group to play the same night. We asked for one hint but they gave us a few pushes in the right direction. It was definitely a night to remember and I’m so glad I came to this escape room. I WILL be back to do the other two.BTW, do NOT underestimate The Collector room. Definitely lives up to the difficulty. Had great puzzles that weren’t far-fetched to the point that no one would understand them. Thank you so much for a wonderful night!

Very challenging but fun room! We had 8 of us for a birthday party and they were very accommodating. Will definitely be back to try the other rooms since the first one we did was full of surprises and great puzzles!

Our group of 4 had never done an escape room but the Collector room scenario (highest difficulty) seemed too cool of an experience to turn down. We let the game master know it was our first time. I was blown away by how clever everything was either hidden or strategically placed inside the room. I appreciated that aside from clues, the game master would send us messages thru the tv with “nudges” if we are moving in the right direction but struggling. This allowed us to have the full experience of the escape room and pushed us to the end! Highly recommend, fully worth the price.

I went in expecting to like it, ended up loving it and stayed for a second room. Shout out to Jenny, thanks for being a great puzzle overlord!

It was a lot of fun. Glad to see this in the Gilbert area. Went as a group of nine. We look forward to going back again someday soon.

Great experience and lots of fun!

The staff was super friendly. They nudged us a few times to help us out. We unfortunately did not win but it was because our props were not given to us correctly. One item was missing messing up the combo number for a drawer to open and another item was given too much of making our numbers incorrect for a combo to a brief case. The staff didnt even offer us a credit to come back. I will not be going back.

Tricksy escape room. Lots of hints and clues but also red herrings. Friendly people and the casino room is fun. Parking in front but the room itself is hidden in the corner. Finding it is part of the puzzle

Had a blast! Its a little tucked away. The game master (forgot the young ladies name) did an excellent job. The room was the most difficult they had. You had to escape a serial killer trap. We failed BUT had a blast!!!!

Operated by very kind and understanding people. Had to reschedule a couple of times and they made the whole experiance so easy. Highly recommend.

Great place for escape rooms.Brought our 4 kids ages 6 - 12. Briana made it fun for them, but still a challenge for the parents. Great staff, great time!!

Dont be deceived. The online picture for the Capone room is nothing like the real one. I wouldnt recommend it. Also be very careful of going with random people. That can happen here.

Went here with a bunch of friends to try out the Casino themed room as part of my birthday party. Most of my friends were first time Escape Room participants and we all had a blast, succeeding with a bit of time to spare. There is a good chance we will be doing another one with Paradox in the future! Shout out to Darrius for helping us to have a great time! Thanks!

Our reservation was set for 5:00. The doors were locked. Eventually staff started showing up to unlock doors. We had to wait in the lobby so they could get things turned on and the business running. Our reservation was 30 minutes late at that point. Pretty frustrating.

Lots of fun, really cool puzzles. Be ready for numbers, lots of numbers.

The employees here are so friendly and enthusiastic about their jobs! Its a plus when the people who work there are just as excited as you are. It leaves a lasting impression on the customers! We did the Secret Agent one and it was so tricky! We won, but only because we had 7 people to figure things out, so I definitely recommend a varied group to go with! I also did the Casino Heist with my coworkers, which was so complicated but so much fun. I definitely want to try that one again because the four of us couldnt figure it out. Bottom line, youll have a good time regardless of which room you choose or if you win. Highly recommend!!!

If your looking for a non-linear type of escape room. This is the place for you! If you didn’t know there were different types of escapes, I was right there with you! Google it and read about them! We did casino heist and it was definitely tricky. You need to be able to think outside the box a lot and not expect things to go in 100% order. We had a couple issues with our escape but after speaking with management we were able to resolve our issue(s) so that we all were happy. Thanks Paradox for making it right. Maybe one day we will visit you again when we’re more experienced escapers!

It was a great time. Near perfect rating just never give 5 stars to anything. Staff was friendly and very helpful if you need it. We make a good tag team. Just the two of us with 6 mins left. Do you accept Challenge?

Plan your next family night here!! Took our 5 and 8 year old kids and had such a fun time tonight. We did the casino room which is kid friendly. Our kids were challenged and entertained the whole time. This is a great alternative to movie nights or bowling, etc . Great way to bond with the family. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We didnt pass the challenge but thats OK. We will be back again. My 8 year old didnt want to leave and begged to do another room.

Top notch escape game experience! Nice variety of puzzles form dexterity to association to hidden to compounding. Nice variety of locks from alphabetical to numerical to directional and keyed. Interesting use of everyday items! Technology was also uses in exciting new ways! I did the agent smith room and felt like spy the entire time, Great Immersion! Thanks again!

This was escape room was amazing! I have done EVERY escape room in the valley, this is my favorite team and game mechanic. They are all fun it’s not the normal boring “game master I need a clue mechanic”. I am constantly waiting for new room Brian was fun but Brianna was amazing! It was a great team! If there was a room I wanted to do I would definitely recommend this one above all else!

This is seriously a cool place! Went there with friends and had a blast! This location currently has 3 rooms to escape from, each with its own theme & difficulty. Each room is well setup and well decorated. The puzzles are very fun and creative as well. The employee who assisted us was very friendly and kind.1 hour to escape, challenging and fun!

Paradox Escape Rooms is great fun! The employees were nice and helpful, and made the experience even better. Darrius was the one helping us, and he made our room fun, while also leaving it challenging. Great for big groups, and small groups alike!

The 2 rooms we did were a good challenger and really made us think and work on how to get out. Location is really nice, clean and well put together. The staff and GM were super friendly and I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun group event or date night!!

It was fun but easy. We maybe one or two actual challenging puzzles, but the rooms are thin, so you can hear other parties doing their room. Some of the props were very used, and if youre not doing a large group, a little too expensive.

We booked the Casino Heist for my daughter’s 12th birthday and it was awesome!! The kids were a little nervous going in ... but once they got started they had a fabulous time and raved about it all the way home! The staff was so good to get them excited to head in and supported them throughout their “heist” before frustration set in!!We will definitely be going back!!!

I would have given this place 5 stars but I felt the organization of the room was off. There is no way after watching the in room video that you even know where to begin. If you had to solve the different puzzles in a order it would be much more successful. The perfectionists in me wants to do it again so that I dont fail. But the price of it makes me think twice. Staff is very nice by the way.

I went with three family members and played the casino heist, which was tons of fun. Once it was over, we couldnt find it in ourselves to play just one room, and ended up doing another!! One of the worst escape rooms out of the 160+ Ive played across the country. Save your money and skip The Collector and Paradox Escape Room. No response from owners after feedback was provided.This was my 165th escape room. I played with my Fiance and friend and together we have over 300 rooms of experience. We all left the room extremely unsatisfied agreeing it was one of the worst escape room experiences weve had.The room and experience were both extremely sloppy. There appeared to multiple broken puzzles which were replaced with random things thrown together. The entire game walk through/reset manual was also left in the room which we thought was a clue and began to read before the game master came in and removed it. One of the boxes was even left unlocked. The puzzles were not very enjoyable to solve as they did not link back to the story or follow a logic based flow, but were rather random puzzles in random orders. We frequently asked ourselves, what are we doing again, what is the end goal?. After using all 3 clues we made it to the last step but ran out of time before exiting. The game master came into the room and explained a few areas we got hung up on frequently stating Ive only seen a few people actually solve this puzzle on their own. This is a red flag for bad puzzle design. It should be tough but achievable, not random and farfetched.We were originally looking forward to playing this room on a recommendation from a friend that had a good experience playing about a year ago, but it appears that many puzzles/flow/logic of the game have changed since then, or have broken and not been repaired. We left unsatisfied and extremely disappointed. Especially after not receiving a response after expressing our concerns.

This place is awesome! Friendly staff, the puzzles were challenging, and the atmosphere was set up beautifully. My friends loved our GameMaster, who did a running commentary on our progress. It was hilarious. A great time and a wonderful Halloween experience.

Absolute fantastic experience, a complete adrenaline rush - even for a couple of extreme adrenaline junkies. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for an interesting challenge. I will be going back. Our group of 4 - 2 masters, 4 bachelors, 100+ combined years of scuba instructor experience, 20+ years active Law Enforcement, 18 Years crime lab, and multiple years anti - human & drug smuggling work, for starters - and WE LOST! :)

We played the bunker room. It was challenging but not too difficult with the help of a few clues from the staff. Lots of clever puzzles to solve. Would definitely recommend.

This escape room was so much fun! Ive gone through several, and this was my favorite. The location is perfect, right in downtown Gilbert! With all of the restaurants etc. downtown, its the perfect end (or beginning) to a fun night out.

We took a group of 14 year old girls for my daughters birthday party to the casino ram. Our experience began by being locked in a room with the TV introduction that is unrelated to solving the room. We started telling the supposed monitored constantly room to restart the game. No one answered so technically we could not get out. Luckily it was not a medical emergency so knocked on the door. The staff probably thought they had a few minutes before they started monitoring but frankly that could be dangerous if you had a medical emergency and need and immediate release. We pounded with fists and yelled. They finally heard the commotion. They couldnt fix the sound In the room and we started thinking our experience was over but we were told that it was just the background music so the staff just explained the room and we were back at the game. Everyone started working with the clues. I am not sure we solved much of anything without asking for help from the staff which is an option but each time you ask for help the time is subtracted. I was just bummed because the experience was for my daughter and her friends and we as mom and Dad came. I know its supposed to be hard or it wouldnt be a challenge but theres a point where it becomes so hard that it takes the fun out of it especially for kids . If you have to ask for clues and what the staff calls nudges… If you cant solve anything on your own… Then its really just the staff walking you through. This is something that should really be taking into account when you are doing the experience with kids and for them. The staff just walked them through It really is not for kids but rather adults that want a brain challenge although the likely ending being not making it out. I suppose if you almost made it out it would have been exciting but mostly we felt frustrated and confused and we never got close. My daughter was embarrassed that friends didnt really have that much fun. This was a group of honor students and they felt like it was too hard to be fun. If I had paid for one ticket instead of all of them ...I suppose it would not have been so painful but I couldnt get past the total cost of the experience and watching the dissapointed kids on their way back to the car talking about how hard and confusing it was and pondering if they could or did solve anything or if the staff solved it for us. And if the staff is going to do that ...they should really try to propel them further into the game so it becomes more of ...we almost made it... For the kids sake. We didnt even get to experience the half of it. ( staff knows what ....I mean). For the kids ....it was about as exciting as staring over someone shoulder and watching them solve a Crossword puzzle. They started saying this going to be so fun and left thinking it wA too hard and just lame. For me at 30 bucks a head ...the total bill still makes me sick that I had trusted the staff when I purchased the tickets that it was kid friendly. It definitely was too hard for us all. We left feeling dumb and even dumber for spending so much just to lose the game. At least if we need your clues ...to give the kids some joy...make it close and let us feel like we didnt miss out on the whole second part. ( get us further into the experience and make it a better race against the clock for the kids sakes. ) What an overall expensive bummer. My daughter left telling her friend she was sorry it was so lame and with them saying it was too hard and it wasnt her fault. I felt bad for them all.

The casino room was a lot of fun, really put your observational skills to the test, and I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for staff members that wont leave them hanging when they need a nudge to solve the puzzle (without giving anything away).
