Fantastic for mountain biking, but less so for hiking/running... Because of all the mountain biking! The trails are lovely, but be prepared for a busy day if its nice out.

Multiple trails that loop and lollipop so very convenient. Lots of variety and different levels of technical difficulty.

Always one of my favorite places to ride. Trails have been rerouted in places to avoid old and unsustainable sections.Local mtb club (MORE) has done a great job here!

Nice trails in a location that is easy to get to. Generally the trails do not loop around so youll have to turn around and come back the same way you went in. I tend to see a good amount of animals during my visit. Deer, turtles etc. There were places with high grass as well.

Flowing and less technical trail network compared to Fountainhead. Mixed usage as well. Gates were locked @ 0800 on 10OCT; had to park elsewhere and ride in. Sometime later gate was opened.

Love Schaeffer Farms! Smooth flowing singletrack with little technical challenges and few hills. If youre looking for somewhere to have a nice relaxing ride thats a lot of fun, this is a great choice!

Nice quick ride close to home. Not super technical, but the blue cut through trails give you some stuff to think about.

It was fun. Mostly cross country and endurance style riding. Not many junps to be had but still fun with good flow in most places

The White Trail is fast and flowy, with moderate difficulty climbs, tight but short descents, and lots of roots that challenge riders to pick a line and stick with it. The woops loop in the middle is an added bonus. The facility is well maintained and riders are courteous and mindful of others. There are definitely sections, like the last climb out, that are challenging but, overall, its just a really great place to mountain bike.

Still one of the better trails just outside of DC. Seems like trail maintenance is just that... maintenance. Not a lot of feature building or new stuff. But these trails are still wicked fast. Great place to crank out some calories or bring along your newbie friend who needs options.

Excellent bike park, could do with better signage and blazes, as its pretty easy to get turned around at many of the intersections in the park.

Always Great Riding. Although a car was broken into last week by this guy. So be vigilant and dont leave anything in your car.

Great trail for hiking and biking. Went on a cool Sunday morning hike from white loop to Blue loop for about 6 miles. It was not too busy at 8 am went we reached the trailhead. About 6 cars all with bike hitches. We were alone for a good portion of the whiteloop until we got closer to the creek. By about 10 we had seen a trail runner and about 3-4 couples on bikes (6 -7 people). Once we reached the blue trail and about to head back to the parking lot there was a GAGGLE of bikers nearly 15 of them. All of them very nice. My wife and I were slow hikers so we yielded to them when we saw them. None of them were going at absurd speeds and were very nice to greet us. We made it back to the parking lot by noon and the parking lot still had a bout 5 spaces open, it wasnt too busy on the trail since the day before was 70s and sunny while today was more lower 50s and high 40s. There were some storms the day before however and there were 2 times we had to jump the small creek. One was too wide to make in a single jump so we took off our shoes and wadded over in 1-2 inches of cool water. We did see bikers riding over them without an issue, poor hikers. The fields were amazing and we want to return in the fall as the leaves change.

I checked on Google Maps before driving one hour and the site reflects; Open 24 hours, I guess that does not mean 24 hours in a row. It was closed today claiming muddy conditions. If they close for muddy condtions it should be reflected on the site.

This is a fantastic trail network. It is well groomed and great for running or cycling. The surface us also great for Fidos paws, so bring your best friend along.

It was a great experience to come to this trailhead. I rode the white trail pulling my daughter on her afterburner bike trailer. The terrain here was a lot of fun for a beginner like me. I definitely plan on coming back to explore other trails.

They had great trails- they were well maintained with great directions. We had a really fun ride. These trails are great for new riders and will give you some really fun downhill to try that arent too scary.

Great Mountain Bike Trails!

This is a great park for mountain biking. The parking situation has become a little tight as a result of its growing popularity. There is a single porta-potty if you need to use the bathroom. The trails are well marked and maintained. There are lots of good features for riding, including the whoops trail (dips and switchbacks downhill), which is very fun. There is also access to other MoCo trails from here.

Fast and flowy. Dont bother if you arent on a bike.

I love this place. It has great energy, so that when you exercise you almost feel like you end up with more energy than you started out with.

Trails were mostly clear. There were still a couple trees down from the windy days a couple weeks ago. Hardly anybody out today. Seems like a decent place to ride mountain bike or trail run. I just hiked and ran a little. Difficulty was easy with only 3 or 4 moderate hills over the 5 miles I went.No water, no bathrooms, no rest benches that I saw.

Definitely one of the best if not the best mtb trails in the area. Pump track and jumps are a nice bonus to the around 15 miles of single track. Good for beginners to intermediate rider.

Great trail, reasonably well maintained. Some bikers are on the faster/reckless side of the spectrum so be careful.

Montgomery Countys premiere mountain biking location. Also great for walks, trail running and dogs are welcome! As a biker, were happy to share the trails, and well yield to those on foot and especially to dogs.

Very nice series of mountain bike loops that run through woods, streams, and farmland.

The trails are set as a looping trail system which allows riders of all levels to get a good experience. The terrain and trails are realitively flat so there isnt much climbing, but also not many downhill sections. Wish they had a few more technical features personally.

This gets lots of great reviews, but I would say its just ok. Its one of the better options in the area. We went here as a destination, and the trailhead was hard to find and not clearly marked. Once we got there it was fine.
