Great place for baseball! Love watching my son play there, bathrooms available, snack bar available, summer has a pool and a pond for fishing. The only thing I dont like is how they charge every person in the car that doesnt playball $7.00 each. Sort of a ripoff when we as parents already pay for sports and tournament fees.

This place is great. We were here for a baseball tournament and the facilities are great. The entry fee is $7 per person but players in uniform are free. They have concession stand and gift shop. The food is good and prices are cheap. Clean restrooms, perfect! The National Anthem is sang live by one of their staff and she sings it beautifully. Overall, a great experience.

I didnt find the place to be bad as other opinions. It is 7 dollars per person per day to attend. The player does not have to pay. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. There is something like 7 little league fields and 7 teener league fields with a couple of the fields with lights. Some fields could be in better shape. You can bring or should bring all of your food and drink with you and have a picnic on the grounds. There are some small ponds for fishing. You might have to walk a couple hundred yards to your particular field depending on where you park. All in all it is an impressive place for the kids to play baseball or softball.

Always put on a great tournament. Love that they provide you with plenty of game balls. Covid has ruined the umpiring, its nearly impossible to see corners and breaking ball locations from behind the pitcher. For what it costs to play they could give the kids pins for their bags, that would be my only complaints.

The size of the complex is impressive and other activities besides baseball is a great idea but if you have pay to play tournaments that draw from surrounding states, charging $7.00 per person to see your own family play is ridiculous. $5.00 per carload would be acceptable. The infield grass was dry as tumbleweed. One would think, that if you make that charge per head to watch, irrigation would be a given. I personally would not return here for tournament.

Tournament and scheduling is run well. Umpires are real good as well. Fields are in terrible condition ... not maintained really at all. Bare spots in grass areas and outfields. No irrigation on the fields at all. Even the landscaping around the complex is in poor condition. Considering the money each teams pays for the tournament it should be in much better condition. Nickel and dime money grab for $7 per person to park at the facility is terrible. They issues 3 coach passes for parking - I came to the field with my coach and he had forgotten his pass - they demanded I give them the $7 which I did even though we were in the car with our coach shirts and players. Ridiculous - someone at the parking lot should exercise judgement and common sense in certain cases. Turns people off in a big way. Baseball experience was real good. Condition of fields and parking money grab are the issues there.

Feilds are pretty good, sun can become unbearable as there arent many trees planted around the complex, which would help with shade. There are no nets so keep your head on a swivel for fly balls. Bathrooms arent great but are always close, concession is decent and offers lots. If you have serious allergies, peanuts are available and shells can be found on the ground all around the fields, something to keep in mind. Theres also a $7.00 fee to get in and park.

Family enjoyed the complex. But felt it was too much of a money grab. $7 per person to enter complex, players and three coaches are free. Food at concession was good but pricey. Bathrooms were always dirty. Umpires were very good and enjoyed the baseball atmosphere. Players winning the consolation game should have been aknowledged even if it a $5 t-shirt or ribbon. We enjoyed great weather but would have been a disaster if we didnt. No refunds in a 7 game guarantee tournament if you play 2 games. Plus they will limit a game to one hour.

Great facility for a baseball tournament. Tons of fields. Our boys had a great time playing there. The fields need a little work but they were still nice. The batting cages definitely need to be upgraded, a lot of the nets were ripped. Other than that everything else was cool!

Very Disappointed with the tournament. where to begin:1. Fields were in terrible shape for $1200+ the fields should be in much better shape2. Stop allowing hot bats someone is going to get hurt3. We traveled 4 hours for this tournament and part of the allure was a team getaway to spend time at the beach. They gave us 1:00 and 6:00 start times both days of pool play. I even asked for an adjustment on one day and that request was disregarded.4. Temperature was over a 100 degrees and you cant run for the pitcher and catcher? Use some common sense here5. Batting cages are a joke. L screens have holes and netting is a mess6. Games were shortened to 90 minutes because of the heat ( I get that), but the start times were not adjusted accordingly. So, we have a 1:00 game and that ends at 2:30 and our next game is at 6:00 so we have to sit around complex for 3+ hours bc it takes 40 minutes each way to get back to hotel.Competitions was good and umpires were decent on the positive side

Average facility with average food. Not sure why they charge $7 for entry. Families participating in baseball tournaments should have free entry. They do have scoreboards at the fields, but some dont work well. The employees at the gate, the ones serving food and working at the giftshop were all very helpful and friendly.

Stay away! First of all, Sports at the “beach” is actually about 40 minutes away from an actual beach. If you plan on actually going to the beach, you better hope for a better schedule than we had(1pm and 6pm) everyday,They charge you $7 per person in a car daily(unless player or under 12). The facility is dirty. Trash cans are overloaded which leads to flies everywhere. Some of the batting cages are downright dangerous with holes in the l-screen and bottom netting. The umpires are brutal! Bunch of old men that hide out in the house until they feel like coming out. They let games go on in the lightning. We had one game where they cancelled due to lightning three times then decided to start the game when it was about 20 minutes to complete darkness so we lost the game after one inning because they consider that a game. On that note, THERE ARE NO LIGHTS on most of the 60/90 field. The HiCast cameras do not always work. My family bought the weekly package and most days the field camera wasn’t available. If it was, it didn’t always have sound.Be prepared for many planes flying over very low as there is a local airport nearby,I could go on and on but I would never hope that our team goes back to this dump!

We just completed a tournament here. Overall, I would say the experience was a good one. The kids had fun, and at the end of the day, thats really all that matters. The only negatives I would offer...1) Hotel prices in the area were ridiculous. Price gouging at its best for sure.2) $7 per person per day to park is ridiculous. With what you pay to play in one of these things, parking should be free for participants.3) With regards to the price, they could do a better job keeping the fields up. Our boys were standing in a hole at the plate. Not only that - SATB should have provided somebody to run the scoreboard. Were there to participate in their tournament - not run it ourselves.4) Again, with regards to the price - they need to put up some netting to capture the foul balls?! I cant even count the number of time we heard, heads up.5) This may be an outlier, but we apparently had a team that was allowed to join after the deadline, which put us at 11 teams. There was one day where we had to play on field 14, then trek all the way back to field 2 for our second game. Wouldnt have been bad, but the umps bucked the two-hour limit and let the first game run long so we only had 30 minutes to trek/eat/pee before the next game started.Im glad we participated as it was a cool experience for the kids, but for the reasons mentioned above, I dont know that wed do it again. There are much better places geared more toward the game and not $$$.

The word thank you is not in their vocabulary for sure. By the way the food is overpriced for mediocre food. This place is geared for one thing and that is making money. By the way parking is $7.00 a head and this allows you the pleasure of taking a good walk to any one of the sixteen fields. This is not the greatest venue I have ever been to for baseball and in all honesty it is not the worst. I think in the future Ill be checking out some better venues.

We have a full staff dedicated to restrooms and will certainly address any issues. The Signs in our bathrooms do not ask you clean them, they simply provide a number to call to report any issues in between scheduled maintenance so we can quickly address any issues. We hope your team enjoyed playing baseball and hope to see you back again.I appreciated the response but wish s/he would explain what the $7 fee was for and what it covered that my tournament fees didnt. Things to do for kids who dont want to watch hours of baseball was definitely nice. Umps were good cant really complain about them pretty consistent. BIG COMPLAINT about the fact there was no bat regulations. As coaches we found out a few weeks before we went that shaved/ rolled bats were being used in this tournament, and we talked about it and decided the risk of serious injury or god forbid worse to an opposing pitcher or player isnt worth the win. It was a shame to see these coaches putting wins before safety. And for the tournament director to allow this it is just as bad. At the end of the day its just another baseball game. The kids should play with there ability and coaches should have common sense to know better. Brian Cashman isnt calling next week.

This is the 3rd time attending the SATB complex and it was disappointing to say the least. The fields are not maintained as well as they used to be in years past. We paid a lot of money and we cant even get a batters box lined for each game? I realize that they need to get games going but there is enough time to put down new lines and a batters box for each game. Before the start of our games on Sunday at 8:00 am, the home plate umpire had to call the field crew back to the field to redo the lines. When he asked the field crew to complete the batters box, he said we dont do that for the games. The bathrooms near the fields were filthy! They were not cleaned for the entire weekend. This was our first year at SATB and we will not be returning. Games should not be cut to an hour, at the least they should be an hour and a half when the weather messes up the schedules. We came off the field Friday and another game wasnt even starting for another hour!! Our boys were given 5/10 minutes in between games, so with that information they should have had plenty of time for games to play longer than an hour. The umpire we had Saturday DID NOT MOVE FROM BEHIND THE PLATE!!!! Having only ONE umpire on the field for 10U playing the way that 11U plays should have 2 umpires especially if you have one like we did! On Sunday the Umpire acted like he had other plans and rushed rushed rushed. Our team NEVER walks on the field and the players on our team were told to HUSTLE!One of your workers was carryimg Dominoes Pizza into the store Friday and you would think it was the end of the world that she had to wait for us to get a stroller out the door before she could get thru.Onto the $7 per person charge. The charge should ONLY be charged for the families that wish to use your amenities of the jumping pillow, pool etc. The teams already paid their $1250 to play, their families should not have to pay anymore. The bathrooms by Fields 9,10,11,12 were AWFUL!!!!! Covered in flies, only 3 stalls and one didnt even work!!This was an awful baseball experience, sad we wasted our fundraising funds on this Tournament.

Well I have been going to SATB for 4 or 5 yrs now and I can see why ratings keep sliding. I did really enjoy this venue at one time. My days of SATB are behind me. Make no mistake that this is not sour grapes as our team competed and went 3-1 for the weekend. Short and sweet, the unprofessionalism of the umpiring staff is second to none. They are confrontational and are very quick to engage coaches in a very hostile manner. They need to go back to umpire school, number one rule should be to calmly diffuse a situation. Getting into the horrific calls they made matters none because bad calls are part of the game, it is the way they handled it. For SATB management, feel free to view feed on F16 at 6pm on 6/1. I have had issues with this home plate umpire in the past (3 yrs ago, I happen to remember him) and feel free to view feed on F13 at 10:30am on 6/2. You should fire both of them immediately for their engaging of two different coaches in the most unprofessional manner. I have been thrown out of two games in the thousands of games I coached at hundreds of different ball parks and both by the first umpire mentioned. Irony, I think not. Must be a major shortage of umpires and SATB either doesn’t require much training or the training program should be revamped.

Really unfortunate to have to write this review as we had heard so many great things about the Sports At The Beach complex and the tournaments they put on.Lengthy reviews are tough to read through so Ill keep this brief and to the point:- Field conditions are poor (think grass growing up the middle of the baselines poor).- We got 20 minutes of heavy rain Saturday afternoon and the grounds crew made zero effort to get the fields playable. No push brooms ... no quick dry ... nada. They had us sit around for an hour and then cancelled all games. The result, we came out for a tournament and played one game. One.- Which segues nicely into cost. In addition to the $900 per team fee, we also paid a fee to get into the parking lot, and of course had the usual travel, lodging and food costs. And played one game.- The information from the staff and on their website is embarrassingly bad. The final tournament standings still havent been published.- Could go on - bathroom conditions disgusting, rude staff, etc.Net net - I would think twice about using the complex ... and three times about every participating in a tournament there.BestSteve

This made all the difference between having a miserable day stuck in the hotel and a great day out with the team. They also did a fantastic job getting their fields in shape for Sunday after a pretty awful amount of rain. Well definitely be back!

After charging $800 for a team to play in a tournament, they charge $7 PER PERSON to drive into the complex. The facility should be world class but is mediocre at best.
