Friendly staff and nice facility. Only issue is how they are handling the coronavirus. They are being a bit excessive and having period of times, that arent posted anywhere, that they close the facility. For one who has a schedule, very annoying and inconvenient. They have since updated and posted the hours. Thank you.

Oh my gosh... what a great place to workout!! Staff is very helpful and friendly. Clean bathrooms and showers. Been to many cities and Geogetown Recreation is one of the best organized and cleanest ever. Great walking trail right next to San Gabriel River. Feed ducks (bring your own food) bird watching, picnic areas.

Love the outdoor trail that is at the park next to the recreation center. My son attended a swim party there. It was very clean and appeared to be well maintained. There seems to be someone always at the service desk to guide and assist those coming into the center. I dont live close enough to this facility but if I did I would definitely utilize it.

Great place to work out. Friendly staff, tons of machines, an indoor track to jog (away from the Texas heat) and very reasonable membership fees. Also, plenty of parking with easy access to the main entrance. Theres a circular drive to drop people off. The bathrooms/locker rooms are always clean and well-stocked. The pool is huge and large enough to swim laps. The water is clean and clear and well maintained. The atmosphere is friendly. There are also separate areas for teens to hang out as well as an area for seniors. The racquetball courts (2 of them) are usually easy to get into and are also well maintained. You can even borrow rackets, balls and goggles if you forget yours at home. Overall, a great value and experience!

Great Rec center. The pool is awesome, but the weight room is pretty basic. Can get really packed depending on the time of day. Would have given it 5 stars if there was a sauna or steam room.

We now have been to Georgetown Recreation Center twice, and each time the deep friendliness and helpfulness of everyone who works there permeates all! We are so happy to be here (new to Georgetown)! This is such a plus to living here!

I love everything about this place. Friendly staff, clean gym, pool, bathrooms, and changing area.The park is beautiful and so many improvements have made it my favorite place to spend time with my granddaughter or to walk my dog.

They offer a great Pilates class which is part of the membership and a few other options such as yoga and Tabata. The actual gym is a little small and can get busy at certain times. They have a nice indoor running track and an indoor pool. As well as a smaller outdoor pool/splash pad. I’m looking forward to taking my toddler to the splash pad this summer. The cost of membership is also quite reasonable compared what regular gyms cost. I’m so glad that we have the rec center here in Georgetown

Family friendly, good location, and not crowded. I had a membership to anytime fitness but I always had to wait to use the machine I needed. That made it so I wasn’t able to keep my heart rate up where I needed.

Georgetown Rec has gyms, walking track, pools, workout rooms, huge teen center (including video games) and more. I just took a class to learn more about my iPad. They have it all. It is centrally located, handicap accessible, good lighting and great parking. Staff are friendly. The whole family enjoys the Rec.

Did pottery painting and it was okay. Was with a group of 9, could have used some more help getting it set up.The facility was excellent.

Family friendly center, kind staff and it kept well cleaned! This is good for your stay-in-everyday-good-health, average gym goer. The indoor pool almost always has an open lane; it is closed on Sundays, however. Overall a great place for a great price.

Exercise galore. This place is a gem. They offer a ton of things to do including instructor led exercise classes, weight room, basketball, volleyball, raquetball, running track (1/13 mile) ping pong, video games, pool, foosball, splash pool, and competition pool. The instructors are the best. The staff is great also. There is a strong sense of staying in shape in lots of Georgetown and the rec center helps. There is lots of parking and overflow parking. The rec center is right at the park, so you can also run outside, BBQ, fish, disc golf, kite fly, picnic, etc.The indoor / outdoor cross training class is advanced and tough, but very enjoyable. The indoor cycle class is intermediate to advanced and always a good workout.

We LOVE the splash pool. Sometimes it gets too crowded but so far, I have been able to get a table in the shade every visit. We go for a couple hours and bring a packed lunch. It has a beach entry, slides, and various water fun items. Children 3 and under are free. Its about $2 for kids over 3 and $3 for adults. Entry is free for those with a membership. Its the best Georgetown pool for young children and mine love it. We try to go at least once a week during the summer. I dont know much about the rest if the rec center, just the splash pool.

Friendly staff and pretty good equipment. They need to put some type of mats underneath the rowing machines though. Right now they move back and forth while you operate the machine, which makes getting a good workout on them very difficult

The Georgetown Recreation Center is AWESOME. The facility is excellent. It is inviting, well maintained with a wide range of equipment and programs. The value for the membership fee is outstanding!! So many classes included in the fee; year round swimming; fitness classes abound (free and for fee), educational classes are wonderful. Senior program is full of opportunities. The staff members are warm, professional and always available with a smile and information.Kerry Kellys Dance Program cannot be surpassed any where. Highest quality instruction in a fun, light spirited atmosphere. The personal fitness coaches are highly qualified and ready to assist.If you havent checked it out....Check it out.

Very good facility. The weight room has many different types of equipment, and there are two pools, though the indoor pools water was cooler than usual at our last visit.

I love this place. No one bothers you in the middle of a workout, people clean up after themselves, and for the most part everyone is friendly.

My ONLY complaint is the size. It is always far to crowded. With the size of Georgetown, (2 large high schools and several middle and elementary schools) they should have either 2 rec centers or add on to the one they have.

Rec center is great, however due to changes, your not able to study in computer room anymore, because of scheduled events in which takes away from the member.

Camp Goodwater has a great summer camp program for grade school aged kids.

My 10 month old loved the splash pad

Overall it is quite a nice facility and welcoming front desk employees, but on the other hand, not so nice aquatic staff. The aquatic staff was absolutely rude and unwelcoming and treated me like an intruder as I exiting the pool. I was basically told to leave in a rude stern voice and a rude attitude as I was already walking out of the pool area. This was completely unnecessary and quite alarming. I will definitely not be coming back next month because this is not the way I would want myself or my family being treated.

The weight room is subpar to say the least. It has plenty of treadmills and bikes but there arnt enough machines and benches for the usage. Even on off hours i have to wait for one of the 4 benches or 2 smith machines. Theres no straight bars or bench press rack so everyone is streamlined to the already highly demanded benches. If you plan on just using the weight room find somewhere else.
