Parts of the park are wheelchair accessible: walking trail *(concrete walkways), restrooms & picnic areas. Rest is not due to terrain.This park is lovely. Whether you want to grill out or old school picnic in a lush green field and run around like a lil kid again, this place is perfect. Playgrounds for all ages and around at different park entrances.The lanscape and trails are so well kept. There is also a fun, fenced in area for the furried family members to enjoy as well. There are several shaded benches and trash receptacles everywhere. Public restrooms are clean and fully stocked.

Usually love this park to bring my baby to. Happened to go one afternoon to take my son to the playground and there were over 10 moms standing in close proximity to each other with no masks on and no social distancing whatsoever. Probably wont be back unless to walk the nature trails away from inconsiderate people.

Beautiful park, very large with shelters, bathrooms, a memorial area and a cute barn. Cant forget about the lake. Just a little confusing when everyone just parks on the side and may look full when you first turn in. Paddling by the shelters on the right and more at the end on the left by shelter 2.

Well-maintained, massive open fields to walk around, throw a frisbee, kick a soccer ball, etc., Love the trails around the fields and in the wooded area by the lake. Also, for dog people, there’s big dog park area for large and small dogs( separated of course) and plenty of trails to walk your dog. I was moved by the beautiful Veteran’s memorial at the entrance of the park. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by all this park had to offer and will most likely go there often.

Super awesome park, the paved area is just over 2 miles around. There is lake access as well and a dog park. This park is awesome!

Nice woodland trail that takes you down to the lake. The trail would be easier to follow if it were a single circuit. Unfortunately it is not well marked and has many loops. But we made a good time of it anyway...

This was my first time visiting the area. This park was just lovely. Perfect for a morning walk! This park is well maintained with easy to walk paved paths. Also has a great dog park and easy parking. We walked around 7:30 AM and there was not a lot of other walkers. Large fields perfect for recreation and picnics.

One of my fave places to go for a walk. Typically when I come through it isnt too crowded. Depends on the time of day.

This is a beautiful park with woodland trails that lead you over Bridges and around a lake. They have a fenced in dog park for your furry friend and areas to fish. Pavilions with grills and plenty of adequate parking. Lake Benson Lake also serves as a memorial to our service men and provides monuments along with information on wars our country has been involved in

Really enjoying walking at this park . If you do both Benson and White Deer Park together it’s over 3 miles. Very scenic and peaceful though the woods . Large dog park with one side for dogs 26 lbs and under and the other side for 26 lbs and up. Water bowls and water spout provided . Two good sized pavilions and two smaller gazebo type pavilions. Nice large playground with a sun shade and smaller swings play area.This park also has the Veterans Memorial, which is awesome and has a brick walkway with Veterans names .

Its a nice outdoor space. Walking trails, playground, and big grassy areas for whatever. Get glimpses of wildlife too.

The trails are open and leads to other sections of the city and park!!!! Very clean and lots of beautiful pecan and other trees!!!!

Great Place for the kids to play and run around. Needs another restroom.

This dog park is situated in an ideal location. There’s a nice trail along the lake and lots of space for picnic and entertainment in the park area. However, the dog park is not well-maintained. When we visited the place, there was a puddle of water (almost black in color) near the entry gate and lots of mosquitoes around. The dogs were either jumping over this puddle or simply sitting on it and it was an ugly scene so we decided to leave after seeing this. I request the concerned authorities to please take note of this and clean up the puddle. I couldn’t take a photo coz our dog too became dirty and we wanted to clean her up first and get out of there.

Very nice park, a good place to train for a marathon or get in those miles in.

We love going to this park. Rain or shine you can find something to do. The playground has a giant covered picnic area as well as big covers over the main equipment. There are winding trails across the fields and around the lake. It also has a dog park and a nice veterans memorial. It is a really nice place to have play dates and birthday parties.

My family and I have been going to this park for many years, for various events in our lives. Weve been to the fireworks here a few times, as well as booked shelters for birthday parties. My favorite part about it is the wide open grass space that kids love to run around in and get all their energy out. The walkways are kept clean and manicured, too, which makes it a lovely visit.

Love this park. Easy place to relax, exercise, bring the dogs and family. Perfect for wooded or sunny walks and runs. Bird watching and all kinds of other nature and creatures, too. Picnic spots, playgrounds (more than 1!), and tons of open grass. Well done.

It is a beautiful park with lots of space and playgrounds. Trails through the woods and bathrooms. There are several shelters with charcoal grills and tables. It is usually fairly busy but there is enough space for everybody.

I love this park. It is a wonderful place for a family outing. There are trails, fishing areas, a playground, and plenty of open grassy areas. There is also a dog park if you want to take your fur baby out. Just pass the park there is an area where you can rent different types of boats. They rent the different shelters out for parties and gatherings. My kids love the park for riding bikes too.

If you love open spaces, this is a wonderful park. Hiking trails near the lake. Walking path around the entire park. Two playgrounds for the kiddos. Dog park (one for large dogs. One for small dogs) and shelters that can reserved with the town for large gatherings. Great place to run in the fields, fly a kite or drone, play football or soccer. Veterans memorial is a great dedication to those who served.

Great open space for your dog to run around. Love the big and small dog park. They have shaded areas as well for your dogs to cool off.I just wish they had some obstacles of something for the dogs are well. Things for them to run around and play on. They have a few boulders but thats it. Otherwise, great place. The people are super friendly, plenty of dogs to play with. Great place to pups to play.

The veterans memorial was an unexpected gem to find on our walk! Very well done, both informative and emotionally moving at the same time. The park has both paved and wooded trails that was an easy walk, would highly reccomend this park!

A great place to take a walk, bike, or just soak up some sun. The playgrounds looked nice, there was plenty of seating, wide open spaces to play games, and an enclosed area for dogs to run around freely. I spent my visit walking the lake trails, which had very nice views. The park was clean and peaceful, a good place for some fresh air.

Great park. Lake Benson is very nice, they have two shelters and a childrens playground as well as a Dog park and a huge open field. There is also obviously a lake that up can rent boats and take them out on the lake. There is also a public restroom and it was very clean inside. There is also some trails paved and not paved. Great park definitely will be going back and frequently.

This is a beautiful park. Me and friends go there often to hang out and have fun. The trails are very easy to follow and the playground is perfect for kids. Overall a great public place.

This place really makes me smile. As a visitor from london with a mom based here, its so refreshing to go on walks around this park and greet every passerby with a good morning. Nice open spaces and well kept walking trails, and a wonderful war memorial.

Ive loved this park for years. Great place to walk, bring your dog, get fresh air... Connects to White Deer Park as well. There is a dog park here now (!), and I was overjoyed to see that addition today after having not visited for a couple of years. There is a fenced in area for large pups and a separate run for small dogs...(I do not know if it provides water for the dogs, so dont forget to bring your own water/dish). Very happy to see that. Beautiful park. Safe and happy environment. Just be careful walking through there. Sometimes people come flying around the corner. I would recommend this park for any family. You can go biking, sit by the lake, walk the trails, play soccer or football. Your kids can swing while your dog plays at the dog park.

Beautiful!! Unfortunately we only were there using the swings and little playground they have for my daughter before we left but its good-sized and absolutely gorgeous. Its also dog friendly and I think his overall pet friendly they have little boxes for the waste. A definate go to for families.

Great park with two playgrounds, bathrooms, dog park, nature trails, open grass areas and biking/walking tracks. There is also of course a lake, although from Lake Benson park access is restricted and there is no fishing, wading, or boat entry. There is a boathouse just down the road and so that is an option. Park is well maintained and any issues Ive had the Town of Garner has been quick to respond.

Good little park, have a dog park too. Inside the land are a few ponds that are part of the lake, and you can see some turtles. The bad part is that there is garbage there. The boat house is at the other side of the bridge, not where the park is.

This is a nice park. It has swings for the kids. A dog park, & trails. I was a little disappointed that there wasnt more places along the water to sit & relax. I didnt go too far into the woods, as I was alone.

I loved to see the Lake and The Walk to the Lake. Which was Cool. I havent been in the Dog Park (Do not own a Dog) and Havent been to the Playground (Do not have any kids) but seen it from the outside looking in. Seem cool. Will come again for the events like the Movies nights etc that Ive heard about All Summer.

Beautiful park with numerous nice playgrounds. Huge open areas for running around, and ample parking. I love this park and routinely run there, along with taking my two young children to the playgrounds.

LOVE this park! The playgrounds are great for our 3 kids, the covered picnic area is a blessing in the summer heat, the paths and trails are perfect for walking or long slow, casual biking loops, plus the dog park is the best in the area.Ive had bad experiences (usually with careless pit bull owners) at nearly every other dog park Ive visited between here and Greensboro, but the dogs and owners here are generally wonderful. Only once did we have to leave because of an aggressive pit bull and I think their owner got the point when others left, as well. When speaking to another dog owner the other day, she knew exactly the dog I was talking about and said they dont go there anymore. Good!Overall its probably the best, most well rounded park in the Raleigh area with tons to do for the whole family, even the (friendly!) furbabies!

Great park to walk/run, although I do wish the path was a bit wider to allow more room for passing people with a stroller. The area is always clean. There are a few shelter areas great for picnics or bday parties. The playground area is nice for kids.

This is a beautiful park! It is a great place to walk, play or just relax. There are great walking areas, shelters with fireplaces and grills. Theres a bark park, a war memorial, nice open fields, wooded trails and a lovely lake. There are kids play areas also.

We had family photo session here. There were lots of people walking and running, family friendly and stroller friendly paved paths. There was a dog park as well. Appeared well maintained and clean, had some nice walking paths and nice structures (red barn, bridge) for pictures. Plenty of parking.

Great for parties, family gatherings or even exercise. We celebrated my grannys 99th birthday there and everyone had a great time. Restrooms were nearby and clean. Nice size play area for kids. Plenty of shade and space. The gazebo area even has electrical outlets. Did I mention the giant size out door fireplace. Oh and the lake is within walking distance. We had a great time!

A nice park with plenty of room for disorganized sports, kite flying, rocket launching, and drone practice. There are multiple trails, playgrounds, memorials, and dog parks. It has public restrooms as well as covered picnic tables. We go every Independence Day for a top notch fireworks display with the NC Symphony.

Beautiful park...very family oriented, centralized dog park area, great trails, and most of all beautiful views of the lake.

I came here for the 4th of July city of Garner celebration and it was very well laid out. Lots of security and great set up with the orchestra during fireworks. The parking took forever to get out and could have been more efficient but the long wait was expected.

First visit to lake Benson park. Very scenic and beautiful. Peaceful and remote in the heart of Garner. Will definitely be back for another visit!

Plenty of space with playgrounds, picnic tables, walking trails. Plenty of parking space, and view of the lake from the trails. I watched an outdoor movie here once and that was nice. The signage for the restrooms is not as visible as it could be, but they are available next to the main picnic shelter. The White Deer park is right across the road and also has a lot of the same stuff.

Nice weather. Rented a boat for 2 hours but the motor barely worked coming back and realized they didnt give us paddles. Maybe itll be better next time.

Went there for the Garner Fourth of July fireworks and had a great time with my family. Very kid friendly and lots of good food. NC Symphony plays at dusk leading into fireworks. Nice.

Went to a Veterans pinic & it was a fun time for all. The weather was to warm & it would have been nicer if it had been sprayed for bugs. The Park is beautiful & we really enjoyed the Veterans Memoriel Wall / Bricks, so special
