My son and I first time and it was very nice. There is a quite a few games to play and way cheaper than Chuck E Cheese. They dont have food or drinks inside but you can bring your own.

This place is amazing! They have a VERY diverse and wide array of video games, from pinball to Guitar Hero to skeeball. There is something for everyone -- they even have retro Atari games on massive screens. Ive attached pictures of some of the games they have to offer so you can see for yourself.With that said, theyre an amazing afforable option for a family outing or just something to do with your friends. They even offer exclusive savings sometimes. At the time of this review (1/14/2020), NickelRama has a Grandparents Promo where grandparents get in free when accompanied by a grandchild. They also have Happy Hour from 9 am to 10 am on certain dates.I cant recommend this arcade enough.

We like to get there right at opening. Not crowded at all the first two hours. Games cost 1 to 7 nickels. Friendly service. Super clean.

Girl in charge charged us double for our spot which used to be two tables put together in one area for our soon to adopt girl. At first she said due to covid they cant put a table there but change her mind when my wife paid another 68 bucks. Wont be back. I have a restaurant I know the rules! She was also rude to my wife and i.

This place is fun, kept clean, good attendants and staff. Definitely recommend. Only one machine at our coins, staff helped promptly and we were able to continue our family fun.

Amazing place. However they have majority newer arcade machines, so if your really set on playing those classic games, look elsewhere.

I found them very rude to my friend who was giving the party for her daughter. She had paid from 3 to 5 and around 4:15 they were announcing over the intercom a countdown. Then told her she only had it to 4:45 because they had to clean up. It took them less than 5 minutes to wipe the table, fold it up and push it against the wall.I do not suggest having a party here.

I have been coming to the original one in Garland for more than 10 years. This particular one was great at first, and has gone downhill. Admission has gone up to $5 a person regardless of age. The prizes hace gotten more expensive, and the machines dont give out as many tickets as before.

Some of the games do not give out tickets and some take your coins kids enjoyed it though

Very bright, loud and exciting. Employees were awesome. Kids and parents had a blast! Easy to find and fairly cheap fun. Great place for a birthday party as well. Tip: get two tables fir the birthday party...you will need them.

We wish we had a nickel arcade like this nearby, my daughter and I spent less than $20 for 2 hours of pure arcade fun! they have A LOT of games, most are new, a few are classics. We were surprised how clean this facility is and I dont remember running into any machines that were out of order. This is roughly 3X the size of Buffalo Nickels in Burleson, they could seriously give Dave & Busters a run for their money at the midway. The cost for Birthdays looked very reasonable as well, you could host one for $70 per 16 foot table.

The kids had a great time & the party was a success.

My kids love Nickelrama! I like it well enough and don’t mind taking them too much. There seems to be a good variety of games. It has always bothered me a little that it’s called nickelrama and use use nickels for the games but most games require 4-6 nickels. Most of the games work but came to a few that I couldn’t get to work. Didn’t bother asking for a refund over $.30. It’s pretty clean and the people working there are friendly. We even had a birthday party there about a year ago and it was a success. Seems like I spend about $20 for me and my 2 boys to go there. And the fun lasts about an hour. Overall good place to take kids!

Pretty fun place, check the arcades before you sit down. I was running around with two toddlers. Luckily I was able to unjam the nickles that were in there. The employees at the front prize desk were very helpful and assisted us throughout our visit.

Great place for kids and adults to play some games and win prizes. The small entrance fee makes this an appealing destination and you can easily spend an hour playing for only $5.Food is allowed to be brought and Birthday parties are often seen on the weekend. We gladly make the half hour trip for the atmosphere. For the older crowd, there are a great selection of pinball games that you can lose yourself in for hours.While a game will occasionally malfunction, the staff is quick to respond and very friendly. If you are looking for a fun place on a budget, this is the place to go for fun and there are many food options nearby.

First time out to Nickelrama and family had a blast! The place seemed crowded when we first stepped in but there were no issues with waiting for games etc. The game area is easy to navigate around even when there are alot of people which was great. Staff was friendly and fast to help with any issues. There are plenty of games for all ages and skill. Looking forward to visiting again.

The place is real good. Ive been here before and I like going back there. It is a good place for the family and to have birthday parties.

Super fun and nice layout! Even when packed it doesnt feel crowded. All the games are even spaced apart and there is plenty of room at the prize counter. The staff is super friendly and ready to help whether there is an issue. We love come here and playing as many games as we can. I brought my son when he was just 4 and there were lots of game options for him to choose from! It is even fun for adults too :-) The prizes are just as expected but are priced better than places like Dave & Busters or Chuck e Cheese. Plenty of parking too! Definitely recommend for a cheap and fun time out!

It was great fun. Theres a small admission and games are 20 - 30 cents each. You can scoop ip coupons for pointless prizes like other arcades. (All part of the fun)Its bigger than it looks.

Great place to come. Super affordable. Your money goes a long way here. My husband has taken our girls here a few times and they love it. Most recently, we booked my daughters 6th Birthday here. There’s no organized party host or anything. But for $69, you get a row of tables for two hours for up to 30 people. Then, for $2/band, you can purchase VIPbraceletts to giveaway to the attendees. This made a fantastic party favor. I gave one to each kid along with an empty bag to collect their ticket counter purchases. We probably spent another $80-$100 in nickels while there. My husband was the “nickel fairy” and went around making sure the kids could keep playing. It was great and still cheaper than many other kid party options.The games are pretty high quality too. It’s just a fun place. Highly recommend.

I had a birthday party for my girls here. It went AMAZING! We booked about a month in advance online. Got there and they were ready for us. We showed up a little early and got to pick out which table we wanted. The staff was super helpful. The overhead paged reminder of how much time was left which helped keep track of the time while all the kids were playing. The birthday girls had a blast and so did their guests. And not to mention, it was pretty inexpensive. We would definitely book here again for another party in the future!! Thanks!!

This place ROCKS!! We just had our daughters birthday party there and it was so fun! You can bring your own food/drinks in for the parties, which I really enjoyed. And the games were super fun for the kids and adults alike! We will definitely be visiting again for a Family Night!

Love bringing my toddler here, they update the machines frequently and try to always do as much maintenance as possible, i love that they added new machines. I booked a party for my son and cant wait to host is friends from school. Such a great place, if you are not a fan of crowds go during one of their slower times.

Nice big arcade with room to get between people. Games are modern and well kept up. Didnt encounter issues with games that were broken. Prizes were pretty good but similar to other arcades. Fun games for adults all the way down to my toddler.

If youre wanting a huge experience like Dave & Busters, youre looking in the wrong place. However, if you have kids and are on a budget? This is the place for you. I took my 7 and 4 yr old kids and they had a blast. On top of that it cost me $20 and they played for over an hour. Its not a huge location like a chuck e cheese but the games were fun. Edit* this is not me complaining at all. I preferred it not to be like Dave & Busters. I wanted somewhere I could take my 2 children and have fun with just games. This place absolutely delivered.

My kids had a blast ages from 7-13 , lot of variety in the games and activities. I will be back. Btw would like more happy hour days.

A lot of the games were jammed by coins or tickets, or the game did not give the right amount of tickets won or none at all. You could put in coins and it not account for some so you have to put in more. I never saw one person that worked there walking around checking on the machines.

Great place to spend a few hours. They have the latest games and most or only 4 or 6 nickles (so about $0.25) each. Very cheap compared to other arcades and $10 will last a good while.

Super underrated. Have the same games as Dave and Busters but are priced significantly lower. Wish Id known about this place before.

A great variety of new pinball machines!

Took our daughter here, came around 2 on a Friday and it was dead so we got to play freely. Cheap fun for the whole family! Spent a good 20 bucks and it kept us busy for about 2 hours. Place was clean and staff was friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our time here, and will definitely be back!

It was truly unique before it scaled back on its pinball machines, but it is still a affordable alternative to Dave and Busters and other local DFW arcades.

Minimal Games. Nothing is included for a party AT ALL. Money would be well spent at an amusement facility that offers a package for at least, food, drinks, plates, cups silverware, napkins. SOMETHING??!! You dont even get nickels for the children to play. Whats the point??

We always enjoy our time here, lots of games to play. My only problem is some of the games eat all the nickels and some dont give you tickets, but its like that in most places. Overall good experience. Make sure to get the VIP bracelet to give your gives extra tickets at the end so they can get more prizes, because i know my daughter waste all her nickels on games that doesnt give you any tickets lol

Ive been coming to the first Nickelrama since I was a kid and I am so thrilled about the new place!! We celebrated my sons friends birthday party here and the staff was very helpful and my kids were reluctant to leave. I cant wait to come back here for my sons birthday party!

Lots of games and activities. Kids seemed to be having a great time. Clean and organized. Birthday party experience was a hit for kids and adults alike. Good value.

Fun place for all ages. It cost $3.50 per person to get in then all games are anywhere from 5 cents to 30 cents. Good mix of old and new games. Some give tickets and there us a small prize section for little trinkets. You can bring your own food too.

My 5-year-old and I went to a birthday party there. The games are really fun and you get tickets from certain games to collect prizes. I had fun and more importantly he loved it. It was a good time across the board. I cant speak to over all cost since we were there for a birthday party.

Do you know why i am giving 5 stars? Its not because of the video game selection and the fact you can buy additional 1000 tickets for a reasonable price. Its the fact they have real toilet paper. Makes it so great.

What an awesome place! I took my nephew and niece here, thinking I would just stand by and watch them play.. but I was playing with them. And we couldnt stop playing. We played the same few games over and over, but enjoyed the whole time we were there. The prizes could be better, but the staff at the prize register were so patient and helpful! Pretty good place to play games for little ones. However not too much for older crowd or games I wanted to play werent working.

Horrible front desk people. We went on friday at noon till 4 pm and those girls seem as if we stole their property or something because of their customer services(no customer service at all, looked rude at all times). There was no greeting, smile and no energy. If you work in an arcade or some entertainment place, atleast have some enthusiasm. Beware!!! you can lose coins because many of these machines are broken (dont keep quiet let them know). Most games which gives tickets, the tickets wont come out after a game and we had to mention most of the time. Wont come back to this place due to broken machines, horrible customer service and not a friendly atmosphere.

Great place for a kids party, or just to kill time playing arcade games.

Rather than tokes you get nickels. The games range from 3-6 tokens and everything is nice and neat. Each ticket you earn from a game is equivalent to 5 tickets. I actually played some games that I havent seen anywhere else, which is pretty cool. They have a few vending machines (somewhat overpriced) and their prizes werent the best, but overall the kids and I enjoyed our visit

Its an ok place for children but alot of the machines either have trouble giving out the tickets.. and obviously the toys are not so great but my kids have fun here!

Ive been going to this place since I was a kid. Now my son loves it. Play with real nickels on great games. Staff is typically young but professional and courteous.

Cant beat the entertainment for nickles...I highly recommend buying the braclet for $2 that gives your kiddos an automatic 1000 tickets. Its well worth it!

This place is a great way to kill about 40 minutes and $20. Our 6 year old loves it and knows which games give the best tickets (the minion game by the basketball hoops). The staff at the prize counter is also very patient when we are deciding what to get.

It is a small area for the games, and some of them do not work. Some of the games did not give the tickets as numerical shown on screen. Other than that, the staff is great and prices are fair. The winning prizes are fair as well.

It was fun and really cool

The games are pretty good value at a nickle to 15 cents per play (some games may be more expensive but I didnt play them). They were pretty crowded but games were still open for people to play. I wish they had more old-school games.

My kids loved it. Right next to CiCis Pizza. Enjoyed our pizza and sweet cinnamon rolls, then played old and new video games til they closed for a bunch of nickels....

Planned a party online, paid for party. There was a conflict with our party time, so we called to change it. On our party day we found out they in fact did not change our time and had no room for us. The owner did refund the $70 table price since we did not have a table. Since it was the day of the party, we still went to play games, then went to CiCis for cake and pizza. While the owner did refund the price, I am still disappointed in the situation, and unhappy I had to pay for kids and adults to eat off of the pizza buffet.Update: After much investigation on the owners part, there were 2 bookings under the same name, the wrong party was changed. This was an honest mistake and weve since moved forward. My child enjoyed his birthday and thats what matters. The owner worked diligently to resolve the matter.

We went here for my birthday. Its okay, they could use some claw machines and maybe better working coin pushers. Many machines needed maintenance when we were there. Also, its super crowded and you have to reserve a table so if you want to sit you have to pray for a stool or go into one of the few experience games like Jurrasic Park. Overall, we had fun, but it could have been way better.

Tried out this newer location after being fans of the original for years. Its a great time too. You can not beat the price for family fun here! We bring the kids and they go nuts for a few hours and eveyone leaves happy and I still have money in the bank. Win/Win for family fun.

It is clean and isnt as crowded as the older one on Beltline seems to be. I like the space that this location has. A lot of the machines had tape over them where you couldnt play them though. And a lot more were so crammed with nickels that you couldnt play them. But for what it is. It isnt bad.
