My family and I had a great time here for Labor day weekend. It was my wife and stepsons first time, and despite the Covid 19 measures in place they had a blast. The park was clean, and we had positive staff interactions all day. We arrived at 11 a.m. and shut the park down at 6 p.m. I would have given 5 stars, but with several rides being shut down only 4 stars. We were really thankful they were open, and it was a good time by all.

I had a great time with my friends and family, facemasks and all, lolI really loved the water slides and the lazy river on an inter tube, the waves were awesome. They have an awesome sale going on in the shops, cheap shirts with the company logo and some cute outfits too.I had purchased the wrong item, that was not on sale. They returned it for me and allowed me to get the sale item I wanted that and gave me my money backI hope to return very soon.

Awesome Water Park, I would have given it a 5 Star but some of the Park and Rides were not open, To be fair this was known ahead of time and the park gave a discount on the tickets. The Lazy / Raging River was awesome and Long and had awesome big waves, best I have been at so far. The Biggest Water Coaster was cool as well and one of the slides was tall and dark however certain parts were lit up with neon colors making for an interesting descent. I would highly recommend this water park.

Ive been here a couple of times, and its always been fun,but this last time we went they didnt have the waves on in the torrent river which is one of the highlights of this water park. So my suggestion is look ahead of time to make sure the attractions you want to ride or do are available the day of. Its still a fun park, lots of tables, picnic areas, restrooms, and stores.

I purchased four season passes for me and my family. Today I was informed that I could not make a reservation to visit the park because they were at capacity. Their website gave me to opportunity to visit the park if I purchased another ticket. When I talked to the customer service center they told me that they only let a certain number of season pass holders in the park. I feel like a second class customer because I purchased a season pass. I will be doing that again.

AND FOR 12.99 ITS LIKE Throwing YOUR MONEY AWAY YOU WONT EAT IT... Iwas told the BBQ was no better and is 16.99 for chips and drink extra. Do yourself and your family a favor and bring food and snacks in your own cooler. Honestly Schlitterbahn should ashamed to offer such disgusting tasting food especially for the price. I went on a busy weekend and I was very happy to see the amount of life guards they had on duty. Although its not the lifeguards responsibility to make sure MY kids are ok, its mine,,, It definitely made me feel super safe and comfortable to see the large amount of staff members working. They also had a Family Dyer for $3.00 that I thought was worth it. Only downfall is the amount of time it was to get in the park, since already had preprinted tickets, I still had to stand in line to get bracelets for about 20 mins, but overall it was a great experience.

Very disappointed ️! Drove 3 1/2 hours only to find out the wave pool was not working, when I went to customer service for help the young girl rudely asked me what do want me to do about it. I explained that we drove 3 1/2 hrs to use the wave pool and she just told me to get my family out of the park for a refund. I walked out of the park only to stand in line for an additional 30 min (before they put you on a list for a refund you have to show them that your family is out of the park) after all that fiasco only to tell me it will take 7 days for a refund. If you are planning a trip to use the wave pool it’s not worth it.. it’s basically a lazy pool only 2 other places were open. Sanitizing- I did not see any employees cleaning the tubs after use- kids life jackets when a child exited the pool they just gave it to another child with out cleaning it. I have been a loyal customer for years and that Friday I had visited the NB location which was very clean & great customer service! employees monitoring people getting into the pools, sanitizing tubs/life jackets after every use, maintaining social distancing for all park visitors & most of the park was opened.

First time here, came in family and we can say is one of the best water parks ever. Has one section closed because it was September but anyway we had so much fun. I think the river is the best attraction because is unique, no one else in Houston has a river like this one, normally they are quiet but this has a crazy ride almost half of the way that is all fun with huge waves. Free parking and you can enter your own food and beverage. Lockers from 10 USD all day but the zone was a little stinky. Recommended water shoes. As all these parks the food is expensive but worth it. In general is a great place full of fun and family oriented.

Review №51

My todays experience was rather unsatisfied. I do understand these crazy virus times but its not ok to close half of the park and slides as well as lazy river is operated partialy. Stuff is slow and the communication between people at the bottom and people of the top of the slides is slow, so you end up waiting in the line to go down the slide even though a person in front of you is already out of slide in the bottom. And yes, there is no many people yet I am not allowed to have a cigarette anywhere, there is no more designated areas within premises. I wish theyd state online about the park is being partly open or close and that you cant smoke anywhere anymore but only outside the gates. Thank you Schlitterbahn team for being there but your management needs to change. Anyway, money wasted for nothing. Time consuming and far from what proper water park stands for.

UPDATE:Management stepped up and helped resolve the issue we ran into with our last visit. They were very understanding and helpful (Alex G.) and great at resolving the issue. We will be back making our 100th round of the Lazy River very soon.Should’ve left a review a while back but it’s never too late. We loved going to this place but on our last visit during fall which we knew they shut down half of the park but the lazy river would’ve been open we decided to buy 4 tickets and drive 3 hours to go there and chill in the lazy river all day, my son and his friend were very excited about it but when we got there, the wave making machine (if that’s what’s called) was not working and they’re keep telling us it will be on in 1 hour for almost 5 hours, we just stayed there in hope of riding some waves. But it never happened. It was basically like sitting at our own pool. One of the managers (Mike - if remember correctly) told us he will give us 4 tickets for another visit and asked for my phone number and email address. After calling every week for the next five or six weeks we finally gave up on the tickets, each time they’re telling me that I should get them soon but soon never came. Until this day my son still asking if we got the tickets so we can go back.

2 stars!!Let me start at the very beginning of this awful experience I had with the terrible customer service here. Me and family of 4 traveled here from far away on our only day off to enjoy the Waterpark on Monday June 10,2019. At first, it seemed fun and all of us were ecstatic about our mini vacay and we checked in with the front ticket desk. The reason for my two stars is because my group and I loved the rides and we enjoyed each other’s company. And the best thing to relax is the lazy river with the waves. If it wasn’t for that, I’d give it one star because of the poor service the staff including photo booth in front and their camera girls! I walked around literally about 45 min going from one girl to another trying to get a photo for my family group and they were nowhere to be found or giving me wrong information. Every time we would see one they’d say “you can go find one the girls with dark blue bikini that can take your picture.” It’s like they didn’t want to be bothered by the fact that not just our group, but several others wanted a family photo for souvenirs! I went to guest services where they explained that there are different companies that work with the waterworks and they would be able to help me better if I knew each person’s name. They also sent us to few gift shops stating they couldn’t refund our cashless wristbands for money and sent us going and going getting nowhere! I stated i didn’t get everyone’s name due to the fact that I didn’t find it an issue UNTIL about an hour away from my family just to get a girl to take our photo. They sent us in circles and resolved nothing. I spoke to a girl name Joslyn and she took two photos which came out bad and dark. She refused to take more because she was already in the processing stage in the photo booth. So, the managers name Craig or something in that sort (tall Caucasian male with dirty blond hair) and Maddie I believe the two other gals that stated “it was their day off” would take care of us. They stated to find our family so that they could take a picture since the camera girls were done by 6pm. (I was walking since 5 pm to get our picture taken, mind you)By the end of the day, nothing was resolved. No picture taken they just lied about taking care of us. Another group was also upset of their service and it’s really sad to see families vacation get ruined because of their lack of information and service. There’s been a few staff members on the ride saying how they don’t like their job and they don’t get paid enough. I heard the photo booth call some people as “the noisy black kid” and the “old lady in blue” it’s shocking, how disrespectful can you be? Sad, it is!! I wouldn’t go here again!I hope and pray you all get a better experience with your love ones than what my family group and I went through. We’d expect going to a different Waterpark soon such as the one in San Antonio or elsewhere.

Schlitterbahn is a great place to have fun in Galveston! I originally thought it would be dirty and low quality, I actually found out it was the opposite. We decided spontaneously to go so we were slightly unprepared which is why I think we could not figure out a few things. Other than that, the slides were the perfect amount of fun for me and my family that do like thrills but not THRILLS. Though there still were lots of thrilling rides we just didnt ride them. I think our favorite activity was the lazy river with (to us) unexpected waves! It was really fun.For food and lockers: we didnt eat there since we expected the food to not be so good. This is our third time to the park this summer since we have a season pass but this year has been disappointing so far. Many of the rides were closed for repair or because they claim they dont have enough life guards. Last week the Mastiff (one of the main attractions), the wave surfing, and part of the lazy river were all closed! This week the latter two remains closed. Very disappoint.Came back for the 6th time today and found out that a whole section of the park 1/3 of the rides, is closed today! We have been here several times this summer and there has always been something closed. But today is by far the worst disappointment! This summer every time we have come here, at least a few rides has been closed. The flo-rider has been closed all summer along with the conveyor section of the lazy river, amongst other closures.
