This morning October the 29th 2020 I called the Galveston historical foundation to try to find Pat Mccoy and Olivia Meyer . The Man that answered the phone... I had to ask his name and it was Brett. When I told him what I wanted, he wanted to know why and I told him it was in regards to Dickens on the Strand. He said, condescending, I dont know everyone that is working on that, you have to tell me more and I said How do I locate Olivia Meyer or Pat Mccoy?. Brett was very snippy on the phone and rude. (I did not mention to him that I was an original lifetime member of the Galveston historical foundation When I was part of Doctor and Mrs JL Jinkins, Jr. 1970s. I remodelled about 10 houses in the now,, East end historical district. I was on the planning commission in 1972 when the guidelines for the East in historical district were written by the committee and myself.)Brett was not representative of the sort of people that should be working in a public relations position ,Even answering the phone, for Galveston historical foundation. What I wanted was to be pointed in the proper direction .Brett was extremely arrogant , Rude and Curt. I did not tell him anything except laugh and tell him After his rude behaviour That I had been a member of the Galveston struggle foundation probably before he was born.

Galveston is nationally recognized for its historic resources which are enjoyed by residents, business owners, and visitors alike. The Galveston Historical Foundation (GHF) was formed as the Galveston Historical Society in 1871 and merged with a new organization formed in 1954 as a non-profit entity devoted to historic preservation and history in Galveston County. Galveston is named among America’s Dozen Distinctive Destinations, a list of “unique and lovingly preserved communities” issued each year by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. While making the award, the Trust cited the fact that Galveston has over 550 structures listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

.... This woman came in to a local Galveston store I was browsing through. She didnt look around at all........first thing not even a hi..... Just, I am from the historical foundation...... looked at the the clerk, asking for mid-century modern furniture........ The clerk very nicely responsed and quickly pointed at this self.... The lady from the historical foundation looked at the clerk and said No... Not that. Do you even know what mid-century modern Is? Very rudly........ The clerk was embarrassed. She Didnt know what to say.A Representative to your foundation doesnt look too good if your employees are being ugly. But who am I right. Some nobody who witnessed someone in power stepping on us ants..... How beautiful are your homes? I bet so beautiful.

Palace Party Beverage Company has worked at this location several times. It has a great bar area for the bartenders to work at. It is a little small for any more then 2 behind there at one time but is close to the kitchen in case they need to grab additional supplies which is helpful. We have even set up an outside bar, that was rented from us to help with the flow of cocktails to the guest. It is always a pleasure working at this location, I cannot wait to serve and mingle with guest here soon!

The concept is wonderful but the pricing reflects retail for decorating and artistic projects. The true purpose of the warehouse should be to provide affordable options for residents trying to restore and improve their homes. We have a Galveston home built in 1901shop Habitat for Humanity in Austin when we visit our kids. There you pay $15 to $20 for a vintage door instead of $100 at G H Warehouse and it doesnt take hours to make it presentable enough to use. Perhaps the GH Warehouse should have a reduced rate for registered residents restoring their old homes.
