This was my first time going to an escape room! We had a group of 3 girls and this was such a FUN time! We did “escape the attic” and I honestly can’t wait to go back. Dakota and Jeremy were absolutely amazing! They were very informative. We will definitely be back!

Great Team Building activity! My team and I worked together to problem solve our way through the Balinese Room! We all enjoyed ourselves to the max. Cant wait to come back.

We had a wonderful experience! The owners are the sweetest older folks I’ve ever meet, especially the wife! I wish i would’ve gotten her name but they were so gracious and accommodating, let us finish the room even though we went 30mins over time, she was so sweet and enthusiastic, and the room was very challenging! They’ve got a wide selection of rooms and all are creative! i cannot WAIT to come back!!!

I love escape rooms! These are by far the best place I have ever been too. It’s a fun time! There are laughs all around! You can’t help but smile the entire time even when you are stressed. The rooms are perfect and the owners are by far the nicest people I have ever met! I would recommend anyone to come here. It’s worth it!!

Went with a medium sized group, did the Balinesse room. Excellent for team building.

We booked tickets online after an impromptu visit to Galveston. We had a part of 9 and did the Jean Lafitte Room. While we had fun, it was REALLY HOT! The AC was broke on 10-10-2020. It was almost 90 degrees outside so you can imagine what the temp was on the inside, without windows to open (older house, they appeared to be sealed shut). We had 9 people in a very small room. The lady working was super apologetic but we were all SOAKING wet with sweat by the time we left. I believe they should have either gotten fans for rooms or just closed for the day.While the atmosphere appeared great it was really hard to concentrate from the stifling heat. At the end we were offered ice water, and gladly accepted. We did beat the time with help with some clues (too hot to think straight) but were never offered a picture at the end as a memento.I would return and try another room but ONLY after calling to make sure the AC works and house is cool.Im only leaving a one star because in all honesty, it should have been closed that day, poor judgement on someones part to leave the business open without AC on a HOT day in Galveston. Oh, our tour was at 3pm and the room was upstairs.

My husband and I and our two kids did the Hidden Treasure of Jean Lafitte yesterday afternoon. It was so much fun! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back

We had a fantastic time. The owners are awesome - extremely kind and friendly and helpful. We went for one room (the storm) and had so much fun that we came back after lunch for another (the Balinese). Great puzzles, great setup. Highly recommend!

The hosts were so very nice and welcoming. The escape game was difficult but my husband and I enjoyed it! We plan to go again during our next visit to the Island.

We had a blast. Definitely challenging. Very clean and organized.

We chose a late time slot and did the hurricane-themed room. We were really excited the later slots were available because it fit better in our schedule. The staff member was nice, but did not hide the fact that they hoped to leave early to attend a party. They said they understood that their job came first and they let us run a little over on time while they cleaned up the room around us, but we still felt like we were putting them out. They also mentioned how they thought it would be fun to work there at first but that it wasnt fun anymore. I dont want the person to get fired or anything, but if I pay that much money per person for something I want us to be able to enjoy it.There was no winner/loser photo op at the end which we thought was weird. We just awkwardly left afterward. We liked the historical aspect and there were things we loved about it. There were also some clues we found overly abstract or confusing even after we figured out what we were supposed to do. I would give it another shot but I wouldnt choose any of the last slots for the night.

This was such a great escape room! The hosts are very welcoming and friendly, most accommodating owners and staff we’ve ever had, and we’ve been to at least 20 different escape rooms in various locations as a family. The rooms are unique in that they take a historical perspective on their themes, all of the rooms are based in Galveston history, and as such the puzzles don’t rely on magnets or electronics like most modern escape rooms. This lends to a unique style of escape rooms we haven’t seen before, and we really enjoyed them. The Storm is a relatively easy escape room that is good for multiple people to do various tasks on, while the Balinese room is a rather difficult task by task focused rooms. Great escape room setup! We also loved the VR escape room experience, the chairs were very comfortable and the VR headsets worked pretty well! It was a first for us on the VR experience and we are glad that this place provided it for us! Thank you for a wonderful experience and next time we find ourselves in the area we will take on the ones we didn’t do! Highly recommend, very clever puzzle design and unique theme.

The owner is really nice and is willing to recommend rooms. If you run out of time, they still let you finish the room, and shes great about giving you small hints to guide you.

We did the space themed virtual reality room. There are still quite a few kinks to work out, but it was still fun. Be warned, there is a 4D effect, so there is an intentional burning smell at points. Also, dont go on a full stomach or after adult beverages because you can get pretty dizzy. The lady who was working had several technical difficulties, not she kept us updated on what was going on and did a lot of troubleshooting. Wed definitely go back again for a regular room. Im not sure virtual reality is for me.

I highly recommend doing this with a group! Very fun and challenging. Requires you to actually put down your phone and interact with each other and use your own brains.

People were very friendly but rooms were super dated with the most random of clues. I have been to several escape rooms in Houston area and this definitely doesnt come close. Fun with friends but for the price you arent getting your moneys worth. Stick to Houston area escape rooms like paniq room for a much better experience.

Puzzels were lots and lots of fun! The staff was great and helpful. Great bonding fun for a couple or family. And love the little ways they incorporate their love for Jesus in the rooms! We will definitely be back to try all the other rooms!

We had a lot of fun doing Escape the Storm. If you like escape rooms you should definitely give this one a try. Sorrry..... Im not gonna give any hints.

Super fun! We made it out with 8 mins to spare. Loved it! I also really appreciated that all of the rooms are Galveston themed with some historical accuracy.

We all had a great time. Planned on one room and ended up doing three because we were having such a great time. The owner even opened the business for my birthday! Made such a great birthday with friends!

Our group has gone to other escape rooms and we really enjoyed this one. Puzzles were difficult, but not overly so. Very solvable if you read and complete the steps. Hosts were very generous with clues and not condescending because we need help a lot. We actually stayed about 15 minutes over our allotted time to finish the room. The hosts were very understanding and insisted we stay to complete the room. We all had a great time, and came out of the experience with a high sense of accomplishment.

Great experience. Puzzles had a good amount of ambiguity to be challenging, and were also still fair. Dont want to reveal anything more about the room my group did. Staff made sure we had a fun time. Can recommend for a small group of adults up for a few puzzles. Will come back again!

If you want something to do at night or on a rainy day while in Galveston, try out this escape room! There are several different rooms to choose from and they are all very challenging. Prices are reasonable and well worth it. The owners are as nice as they can be and will make sure you have a good time!

Awesome owners that are super cool and gave us a great challenge. We had a ton of fun and were impressed by the puzzles. We liked that the puzzles were mathematical and not just trying to find random clues. Well definitely be back!

As a group of nine women-friends, we signed up for The Hidden Treasures of Jean Lafitte for an evening diversion while on our annual weekend trip to Galveston. This is our second venture in an escape room activity and we found Escape the Island to be challenging, engaging and rewarding. Unlike our prior experience, this had a few “Red Herrings”, all successful in throwing us off track. I like it that our search for combination clues included all levels of problem solving skills- analytical, mechanical, logical, and creative. Every participant has different skill sets that provide critical contributions at varying stages of the game. Everyone’s a winner… even if the time limit is breeched.As seems the norm, the “scene” is homemade and crafty- not a factor that deters from the fun. The staff was friendly, encouraging, gave hints without giving away answers, and truly seemed to look forward to our return. Don’t forget to pack refreshments (or as some would call it, liquid intelligence) to help loosen inhibitions.

We did the Escape the Storm room. Very fun and exciting! Learned quite a bit about the hurricane of 1900, too.
