Question to anyone that has gone or works here: Does this place replace ping pong paddle rubbers if you have the materials with you to do it? Materials: Ping pong paddle, and paddle rubbers.

Hi there, This place is amazing because it is run by very good teachers, and features many good up and coming players. I also appreciated how many tables there were and the Newgy ping pong robot in the corner.

Theres no feeling more intense than starting overIf you deleted your homework the day before it was due, as I have.Or if you left your wallet at home and you have to go back, after spending an hour in the commuteIf you won some money at the casino and then put all your winnings on red, and it came up black. If you got your best shirt dry-cleaned before a wedding and then immediately dropped food on itIf you won an argument with a friend and then later discovered that they just returned to their original view,Starting over is harder than starting upIf youre not ready for that, like if youve already had a bad dayThen what youre about to go through might be too muchFeel free to go away and come back. Ill be here.Alright, thanks for coming with me on this trip. Ill understand if you have to take a break at any point...Just find a safe place to stop, and quit the game.Dont worry, Ill save your progress, always. Even your mistakes. This game is a homage to a free game that came out in 2002, titled Sexy HikingThe author of that game was Jazzuo, a mysterious Czech designer who was known at the time as the father of B-Games.B-Games are rough assemblages of found objects, Designers slap them together very quickly and freely, and theyre often too rough and unfriendly to gain much following.Theyre built more for the joy of building them than as polished productsIn a certain way Sexy Hiking is the perfect embodiment of a B-Game. Its built almost entirely out of found and recycled parts, and its one of the most unusual and unfriendly games of its timeIn it, your task is to simply drag yourself up a mountain with a hammerThe act of climbing, in the digital world or in real life, has certain essential properties that gives the game its flavor. No amount of forward progress is guaranteed; some cliffs are to sheer or too slippery. And the player is constantly, unremittingly in danger of falling and losing everything,Anyway when you start Sexy Hiking, youre standing next to a dead tree, which blocks the way to the entire rest of the gameIt might take you an hour to get over that tree. A lot of people never got past it. You prod and poke at it, exploring the limits of your reach and strength. Trying to find a way up.Theres a sense of truth in that lack of compromiseMost obstacles in videogames are fake - you can be completely confident in your ability to get through them, once you have the correct method or the right equipment, or just by spending enough time.In that sense, every pixellated object in Sexy Hiking is real. The obstacles in Sexy Hiking are unyielding, and that makes the game uniquely frustrating. But im not sure Jazzuo intended to make a frustrating game - the frustration is just essential to the act of climbing and its authentic to the process of building a game about climbing.A funny thing happened to me as I was building this mountain:

This is the best Table Tennis Training facility in the country period. There are other clubs in the US which have the overhead space, professional rubber flooring and tournament level tables that youll find at this club, but what really sets this place apart is the quality of the teaching staff. No club in the country have as many former Olympians, Hall-of-Famers and former Chinese National Team members working as full-time coaches. And they are all accessible for private and group lessons as well as the popular camps. Leagues are offered for the casual players on Tuesday and Friday nights, and on Sundays there is an advanced league for 2000 and above players. There is no admission charge so its worth it just to come and see what real table tennis is about. Non-members can just pay a daily fee to play.

Theres lots of space, good flooring for grip (for the most part), around 20 high quality tables and qualified coaches. The coaching, membership fees etc are worth it if youre considering long term.

I have been to this club 4 times during the times they have stated its open. Three out of four times the place was closed. The 4th time there were two guys playing, who happened to be the most racist/rude people I have met in my life. All we asked was if the place was open so we could pay the daily fee and start playing. One guy said he didnt speak English, the other said the place was close and evidently it was open since they all were playing. We stood there for 30 mins to be assisted but no one came. Finally I asked the guy again if he knew when will it open again and he replied in the most rude way, I said its closed! It is a shame how the only place in the area has such pathetic service! Not to mention I am a national level player...
