Great playground and large space to run, jog, play in the creek and meet a friend to chat. My sons bike helmet was stolen while he played with friends though. Ive lived nearby for 24 years and never seen the area between the sidewalk and creek so muddy from the rain. The park staff people that were working in the park were driving their 4 wheeled work buggies EXTREMELY fast near the children and frankly around us. We were sitting about 3 feet off the sidewalk in camp chairs. Overall, a good park when staff arent there and people arent stealing your stuff!

Beautiful park. I wish people wouldnt throw trash all over the ground. There are trash cans by the bathrooms/Pavillion. Tons of covered bridges, trails and a creek that runs along the side of a trail. Great place for kids to wade and throw rocks. Beautiful, but small garden and tons of butterflies. We loved it.

Decided to walk Wilshire trails instead of our normal park that we walk for a change of pace, it was great! We went on a Monday there werent a lot of people there it had rained over the weekend, there were a couple trees down over the path but that just gave us a reason to do some jumping!!!

Sweet little park. A great place for kids with a playground and a story part of the way along the trail (in spanish and english). Round trip from the entrance to the war memorial sections and back is almost 3 miles.

Awesome park, great playground with trees around the playground area for parents to relax in the shade (actual playground equipment is not shaded for the most part). Bathrooms are kind of gross, better than the last time I was there, but smelled like someone had peed all over the walls and the restroom cleaning log showed that it hadnt been cleaned in over a week.On a positive note, the walking trails are paved and great for a family walk or even a run. There is an interactive story for the kids to follow along with as they walk. The Hall County Master Gardeners keep up a lot of the landscaped areas and do a great job. Definitely worth a relaxing visit if you are in the area!

Amazing little park with a nice playground and great walking trails! Wonderful wooded scenery and nature all around you. A butterfly/hummingbird garden sits near the playground, which is great to look at, and a beautiful little creek runs throughout the park and trails. They took the time to add stonescapes and bridges and bird houses throughout, and even book exchange boxes/libraries can be found throughout the park, which I thought was so cool. Too bad most of those were vandalized with the doors being ripped off, but aside from that, this is a very quiet and peaceful place. Love coming here early mornings with my dog for a walk.

I truly love this park! Great for a morning run, family trip, or an evening walk. At the main entrance there is a pavilion you can reserve for special occasions. Half a mile down the trail is a second pavilion you can reserve with parking close by. The playground had been updated not too long ago, and is super fun for little ones. Behind the first pavilion there is a butterfly garden which is beautiful! Whilshire alone is a little less than a mile in/out. The trail is paved, and allows you to walk alongside a small creek. The trees give you shade mostly the whole trail. Multiple resting benches, gazebos, and for the little ones, 10 stopping points with fun facts about animals they can see around the area. This trail connects the Veterans Park and Longwood, making it a total of about 2 miles. Lastly, a scaled model of our Solar System, that begins at the Gainesville Square with the Sun, is placed in this park for small explores to learn even more.

Nice park. Good play area for the kids. Nice but short paved trails for walking. Lots of trees and pretty natural setting for taking pictures of your kiddos. Beautiful little creek runs through the park and walking trail. Pavilion for eating. Last time we went they were renovating the bathrooms so hopefully thats going to be an improvement. The old bathrooms were gross. There are three other parks near by on the same street located by the lake, going towards the mall.
