Wonderful trail. Not crowded at all at 10am on a Wednesday. However, there were about 12 banana spiders near the trail head of Old Spanish Way, not highly poisonous to humans but was surprising to see so many! Would come back but keep an eye out for spiders!

Absolutely Beautiful and Pristine. The woods here are very inviting and full of life!! Suggestfull to catch it during the two best times of the year!! Spring and Fall!!! Mid fall and All of spring from start to finish. There are plenty of woods to traverse. You will find it very difficult to traverse these grounds in total through a lifes time.

Small parking area available. Paths on both sides of the road. Lots of options from 1 mile loop to 7+mile loop. My favorite is the Sink Trail.

Walked the Creek Sink Trail at 9AM on a chilly morning in March and saw only about 4 other people in the two hours I was on the trail. The path is clearly marked and easily traversable.Across the street at the Spring Grove Loop Trail I was significantly less impressed. Evidence of a controlled burn was still viewable and there was virtually no wildlife out - not even birds. The blue trail was closed which is the path where I think a lot of these photos posted by others came from as the beauty in them was NOT on the Yellow Trail.Still, the walk was a very easy, flat dirt road for 95% (bit of an uphill the last half mile) of the trail and if youre looking for peace and solitude you will love it.

A great trail for anyone or any age. I was able to ease my friends into hiking by bringing them here and letting them get a feel for the outdoors. Lots of deer hang out in the woods, which is a nicer way to view them as opposed to the way you normally encounter deer (i.e. as they try to kamikaze your car in the middle of the night). Little waterfalls here and there just off the trail.

Awesome place to trail ride. As of may 21 the red trail and not sure if its pink or orange trail but they are both so covered with downed trees it is almost impossible to get thru. I would love to know who to contact to come and help clean up trails if that is possible. Lots of deer and shade.

San Felasco is a fantastic place to hike or ride mountain bikes! The rolling terrain contains several distinctive micro-environments and many beautiful trees! The mountain bike trails are lengthy and at times somewhat challenging. Love this place!

Walked along the Moonshine and Creek Sink Trails and they were absolutely wonderful. Very well maintained pathways, beautiful views, and even some wildlife (encountered a deer off in the distance). Be wary of mosquitoes though, especially during the wetter months.

One of my favorite nature parks here in Alachua county. The hiking entrance boasts both short and long hiking trails, ranging from 1 mile to over 6 miles. Well maintained, beautiful, and peaceful. Bonuses: dogs permitted on leash and they do have porta potty bathrooms.

This place was a lot of fun, although the only really technical aspect was having to riding in the sun a few times. Saw a few deer while I rode. Signage could be a bit better, it was a bit confusing at times

NO BIKES ALLOWED! We parked and went to the gate and it said on the honor system payment slip, bikes $2 but since we came in a car we paid $4. The trail across the street from the lot said no bikes, so we took out the bikes and road into the side we were on and in a bit from the payment kiosk it said no bikes. We road in anyway...….. The trail started as a wide single track but then got muddy and too many roots. After about two miles we could no longer find the trail. Not a bad place for a walk with your dog I guess.

Dont forget your mosquito repellent, once you start to get down near the creek they come out in swarms. Porta-pottys are near the parking lot so you dont have to defile the pristine wilderness. I would rate this 5 stars if it was free access, so dont forget to bring $4 or have an annual pass.

San Felasco is one of my favorites. For being in FL it will surprise you with the elevation change. While mostly single track it offers trails to suite all riders. It has fast and flowy flat trails and rolling hills, technical climbs and descents and fast and flowy descends as well. There are picnic tables sprinkled all over, some of then have tool stations now. The trail is regularly maintained too! I highly recommend you try this place out! Thank you Friends of San Felasco!
