Wonderful stroll through the garden with my hubby on his birthday. Small garden but interesting nevertheless. Face mask required. They also have a children’s garden, we enjoyed it there too because everyone is a kid at heart. They have a longer walking trail through the forest for those who want to get off the beaten track. Staff was very friendly!

A beautiful botanical gardens. The staff were helpful and friendly. You have to book ahead as due to Covid they are limiting numbers. We had a 40 min wait but that didn’t bother us as the staff were nice enough to point us in he direction of the nearby Starbucks. I world recommend booking ahead of you don’t like to wait. I would recommend this place as we really enjoyed our afternoon there. There is also a play area and water feature for kids. There where fall installations the week we went. Great place.

Though its small, its quite nice. The flowers and plants are well curated and the walking paths are very pleasant. If you live nearby I would certainly stop by if youre in the market for a short visit with some flowers or a nice playground for the kids. My enthusiasm was tempered somewhat, however, by the many, many orb weaver spiders and their large webs pretty much everywhere. Its hard to enjoy the plants while constantly trying to avoid giant spiders.

Beautiful gardens! Everything is so new and fresh. My favorite parts were the beehives, cascading waterfall and the monarch butterflies. Some guests were not wearing masks, but we felt relatively safe since there were so few people on a Friday afternoon. Would love to come back and maybe someday see a concert!

Lovely. Most of the garden is paved, easily navigated for those using walkers or wheeled chairs. The childrens garden is whimisical and fun. The walking trails are well maintained and provide several spots with benches to stop and soak in nature.

Preface: COVID precautions are enforced !! Please call ahead to schedule a time for arrival/entrance. They are admitting a fixed number of people every half an hour.Well it aint Atlanta but given its location it was surprisingly nice. Totally enjoyed walking through the garden and admiring the flora, fauna and creepy non-native spiders. The grounds are super clean and serene. Limited staff are knowledgeable and personable. Vending machines offer non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. Relaxing outdoor bar overlooking the pond offers a place to sit back and chill for all my grown folks. The Childrens Garden does have a play area for younger kids and a place to seat for tired adults. Plenty of parking available. I hear pre-COVID the amphitheater hosted some top name concerts... Admission was definitely priced nicely. Overall it was a good experience. I will probably revisit next spring to see it at its best.

Not huge, but is well worth the price of admission. While there are not concerts or event in their amphitheater because of Covid19, it is a great place for a picnic. There is a great mix of paved and unpaved trails, easily taking half a day to walk them all. Definitely bring a hat, because a lot of the paved area get a lot of sun, but the unpaved trails have more than enough shade.

A nice little garden. They update the flowers and plants on a regular basis and tickets arent too expensive. They have a smaller well curated garden area, but also have a few walking trails that will give just over a mile of hiking altogether. Those trails a well marked and more natural, but still have quite a bit of intentionally planted trees and shrubs. There is clearly work put into this place and it shows. Not as big as the garden in Atlanta, but certainly worth a visit if youre in the area.

Beautiful and serene place to walk and absorb everything around you. They have sitting areas where you can relax and take in the sounds of the birds and the water streams. This place is much smaller than many other botanical gardens, but the price to get in is much less too. They have more than seems geared toward children, so I give it 5 because its reasonably priced for families, something thats often difficult to find. I definitely plan to go again with my granddaughters in the future!

Beautiful gardens with a lot to offer EXCEPT overrun with invasive Joro spiders. I couldnt enjoy the scenery and relax because I was too busy dodging giant webs and 4 inch spiders. Why are you letting an invasive species take over the garden? Not enjoyable and certainly not good for our environment. Do something about it!

Atlanta has two botanical gardens. This is their smaller Gainesville location. I prefer it, not because it is equal to the bigger one, but because it is smaller, easier to navigate, and you can control your social distancing just a little bit better. This garden like most, also has a walking trail, although I seldom use it, I notice that it is quite popular.I come here to practice my photographical skills on the flowers and pollinating insects. This park has just created a childrens garden, which I know kids will like, but doesnt do anything for me, personally! The ABG, could really use more members, now that the lockdown has been lifted, for spring (which is the season they lost) is usually when they get their biggest crowds. I always have a membership to this place. Here are some of the plants and flowers that I have photographed recently! Come on out and hit both garden locations.

We drove from Atlanta to see how they compare. The trails were fun, However the location itself was so small and took less than 10 minutes. I did find that the lady at the( free cookie area) was not friendly at all. I said Morning and she didnt even acknowledge me or smile..(and Yes I was the only 1 at the cookie table at the time) probably wont travel here again or suggest to others. 1 lady outside in purple, greeting you was the only friendly 1. She was happy and even made sure we saw everything.! Give her a raise talk to others quickly..

Had a nice day at the Botanical Garden in Gainesville. Its small but growing every year. Even this time of year its a nice place to walk and enjoy the landscape. Theyve done a great job and Im looking forward to seeing the gardens again in Spring when all the plants are budding and blooming and bulbs coming up. The childrens garden was new since Ive been here. I was really impressed. Our kids are teens and we all had fun in it. I think we spent the most time there. We got the membership today as we plan on coming back

Its small but very cute. Its nice to stroll around and see an awesome garden. If you are in the area, its a great place to visit. If you are a little farther out, dont make it a stand alone trip. Bundle it with something else in the area. I took a star off because the website led me to believe they had the same display as the Atlanta location. I wish they would make it a bit more clear.

It is a fun place to visit and would have loved to have seen some of the walking trails. However be warned it is nothing like the Botanical Gardens in Atlanta. My son and I were there for at the same time as an art show and had a blast.

This place is pretty small by itself, though is surrounded by two 1/2 mile trails that circle the outside of the gardens. There is a comfortable patio, though is does not seemed designed for larger groups. Inside there is a novelty gift shop and an event hall with glass walls overlooking the gardens. Additionally, there is a generous stone concert hall outside positioned below the gardens (I have not seen an event here yet. Layed out with stone tiers and padded with grass). This place is am enjoyable afternoon and is fantastic with managed expectations, as it is not an all day outing.

Stopped by on Thursday and was pleasantly surprised. This was our first visit to Gainesville. The gardens are not huge like midtown, but its open, spacious, and nicely laid out. The visitor center is nicely designed with a sitting area with a fireplace. Wine in the Woodlands was a little bit like Cocktails in the Garden in midtown, but parking was free, drinks were cheaper, and came with a ticket for hors doeuvres! Well definitely be back to check it out during different times of the year.

I found that you have to go from the initial link and completely open the website to see the announcement. How about a little more politeness and less panic people
