Great little park to eat your lunch, short walks or to bring the kids to feed the ducks. Small playground as well and such lovely views of the lake and the mountains on clear days. Dont forget the stale bread for the the ducks and geese!

I took the Solar System tour - this park was a part of it. There are a series of markers for each planet providing relative positions compared to the Sun - so its scale is surprising and spans several parks and public areas; the Sun itself is shown in the center of the town square, near Avacados restaurant. I missed Ceres and Pluto, but Im reasonably certain that Ceres is close to a closed section of the park, Pluto I couldnt find, but it was getting late, colder, and starting to rain - so Ill try again another day. Overall, worth the walk and time.

Really enjoyed the gazebo today. Many outdoor picnic tables available and some available in the pavilion. The ducks were fun with the littles!

Meh, its ok. Right on the lake. They have a dock but not a boat ramp. Fishing area, bathroom, small playground with no swings. Picnic tables. Gazebos. But if youre looking for a good playground, Wilshire Trail park is probably .1 miles away and its WAY BETTER. You could walk from park to park.

Its long. Its woods. Definitely, as advertised. Seriously, a great park to bring kids. Nice walks. Playgrounds. Swings. Rentable pavilion. Gazebos. Incredible tennis courts.

Its such a peaceful place and I absolutely love it.

Very beautiful calm place...This place look good in winter...The place is good for kids... Photogenic place...In fall the place is colorful..The seats are placed near the lake where we can sit and enjoy views...No Restaurants are available nearby so we have to pack our food...The place is cold so come with warm clothes...The ducks in the lake are attractions..I think they were very hungry fighting with each other for popcorns... Little maintainance is needed for this place...

Beautiful place with some nice sitouts and places for children to play. We went here on a day after it had rained and it was beautiful. You can even feed ducks here and the place is pet friendly.There is plenty of parking available.

I couldnt believe how nice this is, right in Gainesville. And there is a path goes a long way, Wilshire trail I think.

Went to Longwood Park to launch kayaks. Launch area was limited to about 30 feet and half was red clay. Managed to launch about noon. Returned at 3:30 to find no where to come ashore due to swimmers and people fishing. Finally a couple realized our intent and moved aside. Once ashore, we found the loading area blocked by several vehicles. People told us the occupants of the pickup launched a boat and went fishing. Another large SUV Sat unattended as we loaded our kayaks. As we tried to leave, another vehicle blocked the middle of the road up to the parking lot. We were disappointed and will not return.

Amazing, beautiful, peaceful, clean and perfect family for gathering or just have a few minutes to spare to read a book, take a deep breath and relax or fishing!

I love this park! So serene and wonderful nature views. I like coming here with my dog for early morning walks, and Wilshire trails is right across the street, so two wonderful parks to complete our morning walks is an awesome deal!

Nice pavilion and the dock is awesome. However the duck poop is all over the banks most of the year. The geese bite so watch your children when feeding the ducks and geese bread. It is a fun place.

Walking trails are largely flooded right now - maybe 4 or 5 ft higher than usual! But it sure looks like it would be a lot of fun normally. Would recommend checking if the waters are flooded before going.

My fave park in this corner of Georgia. Despite the cold, saw a huge flock of ducks hanging in and out of the water. Loved it.

Beautiful place, quite and clear.

This is an awesome park that is right across the street from Gainesville High School. It is right up against Lake Lanier. They have a decently sized pavillion that you can reserve for parties. 2 or 3 playgrounds are available for your rugrats. There is also a couple of tennis courts, if youre into that kind of stuff. We took our dogs there today and they LOVED seeing the lake splash up against the shore as well as seeing and hearing the lovely honks from the geese!

Quiet hiking venue. Very little cars with loud bass music and less meth heads than the average Gainesville location

Didnt even get that I went down to like for the first time and I got to see the Ducks and took pictures and stuff then we saw two birds fighting and the bolts are out there people were skiing some people out there riding skateboards and stuff like that but its kind of cool

Pretty park on the water, lovely at sunset. There are several picnic pavilions, some big enough for very large groups. Folks fish off the dock and the shore, enjoy the playground with their kiddos and walk the paths. Bathrooms are kinda nasty.

Definitely a good park, but it’s super dirty sometimes and there is no monitoring of any family unfriendly activities so, given the neighborhood it’s in, I don’t think I would bring my family there necessarily. But it does have some redeeming qualities.

Wonderful park system that stretches from Downtown Gainesville all the way to the lake. Wonderful walking and biking trails, with playgrounds and many park benches and picnic places to enjoy. Also working on finalizing a section that would stretch all the way to UNG in Oakwood.

This part need some renovation.

This is my all time favorite park in Gainesville. Its difficult to find a playground that is age safe for my 2yo daughter to play, but this park has it all. It has a toddler friendly playground and toddler swings, but it also has a space for older kids. I wont forget to mention the beautiful paved trail, and the friendly people who frequent this park. I love Longwood park!!

We love this park. We like to play tennis (for exercise, we are terrible at the game) and I love the walking trails as well. Makes for a fabulous place to take photos. I’ve gotten some great ones. Plus it’s close to everything.

I love Longwood Park is a very peaceful place but I really wish they would put toilet paper in the bathrooms. I love to take my lunch break here but 9 times out of 10 when I go in that bathroom theres never any toilet paper I have to bring my own so please people remember to put toilet paper in the bathrooms thank you

The place I go to since I was young,me and family like this park because it is free for children birthday partys,its got tables , grills, lake , restroom , benches , longswings , playground for kids and just great memories with family and friends.I have happy thoughts at longwood park.The people at longwood park mostly listen to or talk to their family or friends without bothering others.

Nice, paved walking trails around the lake. Multiple places for parties and two playgrounds. One thing I would suggest is the city arrange some trash pickup for the park. My son and I cleaned up a whole bag of trash on Earth Day.

Nice location , covered by trees with tons of shade . Tennis court has water to sit by can see boats docked also has a playground . a good place to feed lots of ducks . there are a lot of ducks that come to this location . also a nice place to have family vacation they grills and a shed to sit under as well .

Nice scenery and great place to go for a walk however the playground area was the worst experience for me. The play area needs a serious upgrade and more activity options for toddlers. Wasnt impressed.
