Limestone quarry Park made the top list of parks in Frisco. Rated 3rd by community news I have to agree its a very cool place to run walk or ride. Small little trails off the main will take you to the quarry creek. The creek is not too deep but remember to bring water shoes if you want to venture in the water.

Playground is geared for very young kids. No swings. The quarry had nicely maintained grass ... with the occasional very large outcropping of limestone. Has a nice sitting area overlooking quarrys pond & fountain. Very scenic

I was walking my dog there around 10-11 pm Friday 11/13. Saw a very large Bob cat left me frightened. On my way back to my car by The Lodge pool I decided not to walk back through the woods. Looped around on the neighborhood streets opposite of the woods. I could see it under the light clear as can be, when I crossed the street on the bridge by The Lodgeswimming pool & Park to return to the parking lot where my car was parked. It was pacing & staring at my dog & me. If you have kids be careful on allowing them to walk @ night Ive walked this trail many times && is one of my favorite trails. But stay aware bc their is wildlife out there. Was frightening tbh it made itself known & seemed to be following me. GREAT TRAIL THOUGH. May have been a mountain Lion but dont want to overestimate. Was a 1/3 to 1/2 larger than my German Shepard. Very muscular.

Limestone Park is a city park. FYI: it across from a PRIVATE Turnbridge neighborhood park and that is NOT part of Limestone park. The large pond is private property.CONS:Has NO bathrooms, limited parking, little shade for kiddos, recently has had more trash and dog poop, and more visitors. No fishing either.PROS:Nice playground, large grassy area, basket ball courts, and pretty scenery.

Cute park area! Nice and shaded playground, very wide paved trail, and easy little walking paths down to the creek. Creek water is clean enough for some fun wading and kids or dogs to swim. Limestone rock bottom with occassional rocky pebbly floor.

The creek and the trail were beautiful, the trail stays fairly close to the neighborhood adjacent to it, but theres also smaller paths that trail off closer to the creek that are a little more secluded

Great paved trail along Rowlett Creek (Taychas Trail), with relatively easy access down to the creek at various points along the trail. Kids can access the creek with some adult supervision and help. Southern entrance to the trail near Isbell Elementary parking lot. 4 stars and not 5 because we couldnt find a bathroom very easily.

Love coming here! Its a quaint little park hidden in the Turnbridge Manor subdivision. Its right off of Independence parkway and SH 121, but you wouldnt know it. Its open to the public, but there arent a whole lot of conveniences due to the fact that its catered to the residents of the subdivision. No bathrooms and no BBQ grills. I like it because of the well-maintained playground and also the picnic tables under the shade. Across the street there is a little pond/lake with a fountain and some ducks that really appreciate the bread you should bring along with you!

Wide paved trail through the park. Blocked at the lower end, apparently from water over a low water bridge. Have to get off the paved trail onto well worn volunteer trails to get down to the water. Great place for walking and running. Much of the trail is shady.

The Limestone Quarry Park is spacious and beautiful. Theres something different for everyone! The playgrounds are modern and fun for children of all ages, including slides, cloning walls, ladders, bridges, and swings. Unfortunately, the playground area is filled with wood chips, so make sure to wear closed-toe shoes and not sandals or flip-flops.There are several pavilions that are equipped with tables, built-in charcoal barbeques, drinking fountains, and garbage cans. For sports enthusiasts there are wide open, groomed grass area for field sorts. There are also basketball courts. If walking or jogging is your thing youll enjoy miles of paved trails. They have gone to the trouble of installing mile markers along the trails that clearly mark every ¼ mile that make it easy to keep track of distance. My favorite feature of this park is the small river that runs through a large limestone deposit. The water is clear, cool and beautiful. If you choose to go off-trail and have a splash, be very careful as the river bottom is solid limestone and VERY slippery due to algae.I hope you enjoy The Limestone Quarry Park as much as I did. Have fun!

Great place to wander around. Little bit of scenery in Frisco. There is a playground and covered picnic tables. To get to the small creek & limestone formations you have to walk down a small hill. A very easy walk. Please make sure you pick up your trash before you leave. I noticed a bit collecting down by the creek and picked it up.
