Nice little museum. Recommend to anybody with an interest in history. Surprisingly large amount of railroad history and exhibits in the museum if one finds that fascinating as well.

This place is neat. We went on a field trip with my sons class and, just as the tour guides promised, the kids got to see and learn about things they never knew existed!

Very nice museum. Excellent displays, clearly labeled and easy to understand. Going back tomorrow for centers 3rd Sunday open house. If you go at other times, the out-buildings (houses, church, etc.) wont be open and likely hosting events. Lovely place to visit!

I am happy to know that our town has this charming museum. I appreciate the foresight of the originators in this endeavor. The museum is small but big on information and attractively laid out. We were met with active quilters, weavers and a printer inside, which were nice touches. Great especially for kids to see how things were done when. The outdoor part of the museum is interesting, too, but the individual buildings may not always be open to visitors. They are dependent upon volunteers, but we were able to enter most of the structures when we visited recently.

This is a very interesting history of the city of Frisco. I was surprised by the fact that it wasnt settled until the late 1800s. Another interesting fact was it the city is named after a railroad.. I found the museum very educational in the history of a railroad city that has turned in to a large metropolitan area.

This was a great afternoon adventure. Today they had an open house from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. so we tour at the museum, did a craft at the Depot, explored the old homes and checked out the train. We ran out of time to see the blacksmith and take the wagon ride but we still really enjoyed ourselves.

Coming here was a great experience. For both the adults and children in our group, there was fun and knowledge to be had. If you come with smartphone toting, attention deficit kids your gonna have an issue here. However, if you got a kid(s) that loves to explore and learn this place is for you. Trains are the main focus here. Although the history stems outwards from there, thats what youll see the most of. Pictures and some light machinery inside, while full size examples have their place out front and in the railyard out back. Our guide was polite and informative and the building was very clean and professional. Id recommend a trip here to anyone.

Awesome Place to take your family to browse and see a little bit of History. It is kept spotless inside and out. Also, Babes Chicken one of the top Historical original fried Chicken spots is in the middle. A must go spot when visiting Frisco!!

Neat place, interesting, but not as complete as i hoped. They have a log cabin and two complete houses, but only display the outside of them. I would think they would allow tours of the inside too, maybe that will happen soon.

This is a easy afternoon check out with the family. Nothing to exciting, but I visited with my teenage daughter and we enjoyed the history of Frisco. I was a good hour or so of conversation which is always good. The fifth star is right next door at Babes Chicken - awesome place for some chicken and comfort sides .

Kind and professional staff/volunteers. A good place to take photos as thats what I see a lot of people do. Every 3rd Sunday is open house. The blacksmith shop also opens that day and is worked by volunteers from the North Texas Blacksmith Association. The museum is located near the Babes Chicken restaurant. The blacksmith shop is near the locomotives and railroad tracks.

We actually came to visit the train museum, but it was closed on this day. We made the best of it by visiting the Frisco Heritage Museum. It was small but interesting. Not $8-a-head interesting, but interesting. It covers the areas development from the early pioneers to the turn-of-the-century cotton farmers. I dont recall seeing any mention of slavery though, one way or the other. This is why I think they should call it a nostalgia museum rather than a history museum.

Great little museum! My sister and I were in Frisco for a conference decided to visit on the day they were having an open house for families. There was fun stuff for the adults, too! I really enjoyed touring the buildings on the property with guidance from the docents. I learned a lot about the town, and saw a lot of little kids having a blast as well.If you are interested in railroad history, thats another good reason to visit. There was some cool stuff about the Pullman company I didnt know, and my sis and I posed for a picture in front of the train!
